Looking to start a business, but do not know how? Looking to make some money online like everyone else seems to be doing, but do not know where to start? Its as simple as using one of the all inclusive ecommerce business opportunity services that puts everything together for a new business and even sends out the products to those who buy them. Sound too good to be true, here is how it all works.
First, a website is needed, this is a virtual storefront where products can be viewed and purchased by consumers looking to buy online. This website is the home of a business and is the first step to getting a complete commerce business opportunity in the form of an online store. Businesses that are in the business of setting up online stores for people come in many variations, but the best ones take care of everything from starting up the website to even shipping the products that consumers buy from the new website.
Once a website is up and running, there are a lot of details to take care of. Of course, there are the products to choose, because a commerce business opportunity must involve actual products. In addition to choosing the products that will be sold through the online store, one can choose all kinds of logos and website features that will change the overall look of the website. Firms that start up online sales websites take care of arranging advertising to go on these websites.
These advertisements will make more people come to a site and help reduce the cost of having the website in the first place. The better the commerce business opportunity start up firm one chooses, the better the ads will be. The most expensive websites have ads from the biggest search engines and biggest entertainment and communications providers in the nation.
The Products
Most firms who specialize in starting up ecommerce business for new businesses have a wide variety of products from which to choose. The business owner can choose to specialize in one type of product such as electronics or choose to offer a wide array of products. The kind of website that one sets up, in terms of the products chosen, can sometimes change the way that visitors perceive an online store. A store that specializes in one type of product is often seen as a kind of authority on that kind of product.
In the end, the choice of products is left up to the entrepreneur. The last important aspect is getting visitors to a new website. The best commerce business opportunity start ups offer SEO content that can be posted on new sites so that search engines will recognize the new site. Having lots of text on the site that is rich in keywords makes the search engines more likely to find new sites.
Changing this content frequently is the way to keep search engines sending people to the new site. Commerce business opportunity online options are a big thing.

A recent report said that over 1,000 people earned over $1 Million dollars in one year selling stuff on eBay. That is an astounding figure when you think about it. It also gives hope to almost anyone that you can work at home and earn money with your own eBay business. It does not take a lot to start working at home and selling on eBay.
Here is how you can set up your own eBay business and work at home in 5 easy steps.
1. First of all you need to come up with something to sell. If you look at some of the most successful eBay businesses they sell something that is unique. It could be a product like reconditioned computers or a service such as reconditioning computers. One thing that is always a good idea is to find a unique idea that is something that interests you or that you have an area of expertise in. This will help you earn more money and enjoy it at the same time.
That could be a hobby or maybe even something you are doing at work now. If you can turn it into an eBay business that you can work at home you can start part time and maybe eventually replace your job with it. Make a list of everything you can think of and then choose your best idea and start with it.
2. Everything you read about selling on ebay is you have to provide good pictures on your products. A quality digital camera is going to be a good investment for your business if you do not have one. You can write a good ad detailing everything about the product and people are still going to remember the picture.
3. Research your product and what the competition is doing. As with any business to earn more money you have to know what your competitors are doing and react accordingly. It also will help you locate products that do not have as much competition and you can earn the most money from. This is one of the secrets to making money online. Can you outthink your competition or eliminate it altogether.
4. As Bob Barker would say “the price is right.” Everyone starts out bidding low on eBay and the price is driven up by the bidding process. Be sure and know what the minimum that you want to make or you will lose money. If you have questions on what to price your product at look at what other sellers are doing with comparable products.
5. One of the nice things about working at home with an eBay business is how easy it is to set up your payment system. eBay owns PayPal so you have to get a PayPal account to process your sales. Their fee are reasonable and you can get a PayPal Mastercard or transfer money from your PayPal account into your business checking account.
These are 5 things you need to work at home and sell products on eBay. Do not worry about knowing all of the details on how it will work. Get started and work on improving your business as you go.

Yes, audio books demand is growing very rapidly and the industry has a hard time delivering what consumers demand. And the increased demand means for consumers that prices are coming down as quantities increase.
One has to distinguish between the physical product audio book, that is delivered on cassettes and CD’s and the digital audio book that can ‘only’ be downloaded from the Internet. But let’s first look why the demand has increased that much:
The hectic lifestyle most of us are forced to lead leaves little time to sit down and read a book. Commuting, heavy work schedules, the kids, different daily chores use up a lot of time. There is simply not enough time left to pick up a book and sit down to enjoy it….
On the other hand we all have time in the day when we are not really busy mentally, where the brain is in ‘idle’ or has at least a lot of spare capacity. Whilst you are occupied with work that demands that you use your eyes (and hands), the mind would be glad to get decent and stimulating input. Just think traffic jam, weeding or cutting the grass, or any other manual chore and housework that use up hours every day, or jogging, working out - any type of sport that mostly occupies the muscles.
An audio book, read by a professional narrator who is telling you the story, is an ideal way to ‘read’ books that you wanted to read for a long time, but that lack of time did not permit. Story telling has a very long tradition and with the new technology, it is gaining popularity again.
“For many people, listening to an audio book is an opportunity to hear an author firsthand,” says Mary Beth Roche, president of the Audio Publishers Association (APA) and president of Audio Renaissance, a New York-based audio book company. “It’s like having the very best lecture series, not just in your own town, but in your own car or home.” - and at your command, they’ll read when YOU are ready to listen.
Audio books used to be thought of as limited special products for only the blind and sight impaired or for kids and lazy people who either can not or do not want to read themselves. This has dramatically changed over the last few years. A survey of the Audio Publisher’s Association has found that the average listener to audio books is about 45 years of age and has an average yearly income of more than $50′000, at least a college education and often more advanced degrees. And these people are very Internet savvy.
In short: These affluent middle aged internauts are the ideal customers for on line audio book shops. Downloading an audio book is like picking up their email for these customers and they appreciate the ease of purchasing a new novel in form of a down loadable audio book, be it for their iPod, Zune or other MP3 player.
“Middle-class, well educated, and smart, that’s a great demographic to have,” says Eileen Hutton, vice president of editorial for Brilliance Audio, one of the oldest publishers of audio books.
Roche says there is no data on sales for the industry as a whole. “We are just beginning to send out surveys to compile sales information, but individually, members of the Association boast of annual sales increases in the double digits,” Roche adds.
Audio book sales are increasing so fast that the audio book industry is not able to keep up with the demand. Creating an audio version of a book is more costly and time intensive than printing. More often than not, an actor or a professional narrator has to be hired to narrate the book, and there’s the cost of the recording studio, a production crew, post production and packaging ( that applies to conventional audio books on CD - Down loadable audio books don’t have that cost attached.). A large saving can be made by making the audio books available as down-loadable audio file. This is also reflected in the cheaper prices for audio books that are down loadable directly from an on-line audio book store.
The peak sales season for audio publishers are in the spring as Americans prepare for those long driving vacations or basking on the beach, and before the Christmas season, when people are shopping for holiday gifts. Sales start to be a lot more even though, as people routinely pick up audio books to feed their MP3 players.
Audio books are especially good for children who hate to read because of problems in school. That way they are familiarized with the adventure of using their own imagination to paint their mental pictures of what they hear, rather than just staring on the TV screen. Also, if they have the book and the audio, reading along can help to overcome reading problems:
“Librarians and teachers have been using audio books for years in the classroom, but parents aren’t making the logical connection at home,” says Amanda D’Acierno, director of audio publishing at Random House. “It’s been proven that listening and reading go hand and hand. If children can hear the spoken word and follow along with the book that helps them. Listening is much more in tune with the way humans learn than sitting down and reading a book.”
People who for some reason or other don’t have the reading skills they should have, but are intellectually fit can listen to audio books to continue their education and listen to self help audiobooks, language course audios etc.
Rolf C. Zimmerli is the author; he is is the publisher of the Downloadable Audio Books Corner Store, the online audio book shop with a wide choice of quality audio books from ‘A’ like Arts & Drama to ‘F’ like Foreign Languages or Fiction, to ‘S’ like Self-Help Audios.

Many experts say that their success is due to their effective way to perform integration marketing. It is one of the most powerful ways to make the life easier to your customers and partners so that you can encourage them to take action, and this is what you want!
Integration marketing means: marketing processes and strategies integrated. Many web sites today are structured in integrated parts including the payment process and the access to the data.
There are some steps to follow to perform integration marketing:
- The process is easy: one click or a Yes is the best to access anything your customer or partner wants from your site
- There should be no risk or very low risk: you can use the 30-day back guarantee approach, or ship now, pay later, or sell low price products, free-trial policy, etc.
- Any next step should happen as close to the original process as possible (co-registration, upsell on thank-you page, etc.)
- Any single process must be similar to the overall process
- Products, offers or services are targeted or complementary to the original action if this was related to the first purchase. This is to bear in mind in case of up-sell or cross-sell. If you sell a transcription of a seminar you can then sell the DVDs and then the resell rights. Your imagination is your only limit
- If you need the system of a third party to be integrated in yours make an agreement with them, maybe propose an incentive (JV partnership, good commissions, promotional support, ecc.)
The choice of the merchant(s) for the payment process is an important step. You can lose a lot of potential customers if you do not provide the payment process they have an account for. There are countries where Paypal is not accepted or others, especially in Europe, where people still prefer to buy through a bank transfer process.
There are many companies today that are offering services for the payment process. I would mention among these also those dealing with security matters.
I really suggest Verisign if you need to acquire a SSL certificate. They are a bit expensive but if you have a great business they provide you with a very great level of security and assurance.
If you are starting with a small business you can start with cheaper solution. They provide good solutions with cheap prices also for private people.
As far as the payment process I would mention the following companies/services:
- Paypal (it is free to join for buyers and you can transfer money with a simple click if you have the email address of the person that must have a paypal account in 55 countries, it is secure and accepts credit cards. Vendors can have secure transactions and they provide an easy solution to integrate their process to your web site)
- PayDotCom (it is free to join and they also provide a service for affiliates. They offer a market place where they take care of the affiliates, their commissions and provide you with the tools for your payment process. They also have paypal integrated. It is a great solution of integration of Affiliate Marketing with paypal account)
- StormPay (it is similar to paypal. They have restricted their services. Many marketers today cannot use this service any longer. They provide also a hosting service and have their Pay Per Click campaign)
- 2CO (2CheckOut is another widely used service, and today has become a reseller for many online businesses. Their service is very easy and similar to that of the others)
- ClickBank (it is the real service online. They provide many services: customer service when you purchase, acquisition of products in their 10,000 item catalog, selling of products at ClickBank, promotion of products - as a ClickBank affiliate - , promotion of ClickBank - as a ClickBank reseller - and track your sales)

Is there validity to comparing in-house work and outsourced work? Of course there is but the more pertinent question is how you make these comparisons. Those who are involved in the Internet niche marketing industry realize a large portion of their success is related to their ability to constantly evaluate their niche markets and determine what is working and what is not working.
They examine and test aesthetical details such as font size and colors along with more technical elements such as coding and search engine optimization (SEO) strategies. Since these savvy entrepreneurs are already constantly evaluating and making minor adjustments it is logical that they should also make comparisons relating to the work done in-house and the work that is outsourced. They should evaluate the work in terms of finances and in terms of quality.
The Cost of Outsourcing vs. Keeping Work in House
As with any business the bottom line in Internet niche marketing is often financial. There is no clear cut answer as to whether particular tasks will be completed at a lower cost in-house or through outsourcing. This will depend on a number of factors. For example the qualifications of the in-house staff is one of the major factors in the equation. The availability of the in-house staff members should also be considered.
If there are members of in-house staff members capable of completing the task and available to do so, it may be more affordable to keep the work in-house. However, outsourcing does reduce labor costs but often comes with a higher hourly rate as well as costs required to advertise the position and interview candidates. These costs will vary from case to case so it is important to always consider outsourcing as an option when possible.
The Quality of Outsourcing vs. Keeping Work in House
Comparing the quality of outsourcing versus in-house work is even more difficult. Again, there is no set answer for which is typically higher quality. In a situation where experts are required to complete a task it may be better to outsource the task because the in-house staff is not qualified to complete the task. In this case the quality of the work produced by the contractor will not only be of higher quality but will also likely be completed quicker and more efficiently.
However, in cases where the in-house staff and the contractor are equally qualified the in-house staff may hold a slight advantage because they are more familiar with company policies and procedures. In this case the in-house may be more efficient because they are already familiar with the standard procedures. This becomes less of an issue in cases where work is outsourced to the same individual regularly.
The other factor to consider when comparing outsourced work to in-house work is the work ethic of the individual completing the assignments. Two equally qualified employees given the same assignment, schedule and pertinent information may not produce the exact same results. This is because one employee may have a more diligent work ethic and a more keen attention to detail.
In this scenario the more diligent employee will likely produce work of a higher quality. As this relates to personality rather than whether or not the work is completed in-house or outsourced it makes it even more difficult to compare in-house work to outsourced work.

Whatever business you happen to be in online, remember, it’s about them!
What is your business going to give to them?
Them, that’s the visitors who come to your site. They are looking for something. They have a need, a problem or a want. What are you going to give them? This is what they want to know.
Don’t tell them about you unless you can spin an enticing story about yourself as being in their place and feeling their need or pain and turn it to show how you can fulfill their needs and wants.
We are all self centered to one degree or another and want to know just what is in it for us. Think of that when you are dealing with your visitors.
Whatever it is that you sell on the internet, you need to get across what it will do for them. If you sell model sl–25 blue widgets, you need to convey what it will do for them. Listing features is something that you need to do, but even more than that you need to convey how those features will fulfill their needs.
This boils down to feelings or emotions. Think about this. How many people buy a new car because they really need a new car? Do they buy it because it really is not functional and safe to drive anymore?
Actually, I think if you could run a survey, and get honest answers you would find that the answers would surprise you. Many people buy a new car because they are thinking how proud they will feel when it is parked out front. Or how proud they will feel when their friends and co-workers see them driving a new Z-whatever.
It’s all about feelings and emotions. I recently replaced my kitchen range. While I was at it, I also got a combination microwave and exhaust fan to mount above the range. I did not need that microwave. I had a perfectly good recent model microwave sitting on my counter. But I knew how good I would feel when I looked at my new range and the matching microwave hanging above it. Pride of ownership.
By all means, list features, but tell them what the features will do for them. They will make something easy. They will provide enjoyment. They will free up time to do things that are more fun. They will delight their eyes. They will make them the envy of all their friends.
Help them feel the benefit.

Is this system illegal? Absolutely NOT. You are applying some creative marketing tactics to make your visitors purchase your products and services even if they refused to pull out their credit cards initially.
Here’s how to do it. The very first thing you need to do is understand the pshychology of an internet surfer and how the internet works in general.
When a visitor visits his favourite search engine to find some information, it is 99% sure that he wants that information for free. There are only 1% buyers who will surf internet with a credit card in their pocket and a willingness to buy something on the spot. Rest all others want things for free.
Understanding this psychology of humans you need to cultivate your internet marketing strategy such that you can trap these surfers into a system where they appreciate and respect your knowledge and start trusting you as an expert in your niche.
Once you have gained their trust, then you can just move them on your sales pitch and I bet they will grab your products and services to solve their problems.
“You have to sell yourself to your visitors before you sell them your products and services”
Read the above statement once again and sink it in your brain, it could be the difference of you making $0 right now and getting transformed into an internet millionaire after a few short years.
Here are the 2 steps you need to follow to make tons of money online.
Step 1 - Gain Trust Of Your Website Visitors.
The very first thing you need to do is gain trust of your website visitors by giving them valuable information they are hunting for absolutely FREE.
You can do this by…
1. Creating a quality content rich site that provides valuable information in your niche absolutely FREE.
2. Starting your own free weekly or bi-weekly newsletter.
3. Giving them free gifts such as an ebook, ecourse, report and then converting them into leads.
4. Helping them out trying to solve their problem.
5. By creating a rock-solid relationship with your subscribers.
Once you do this…
1. They will respect you.
2. They will trust you.
3. They will consider you as an expert in your niche.
Once you’ve achieved this, you can move on to step 2…
Step 2 - Drag Them to Your Salesletter.
Once you gain their trust then make sure you present your offers and products in front of them through your…
1. Newsletter.
2. Website.
3. Follow up ecourse, ebook, reports and your follow up system.
The trust that you have gained in step 1 will work powerfully and help you to sell your products and services.
This will not only help you to improve your website conversion ratio but also help you to gain a database of people who will buy your recommended products every now and then.
Make sure you apply this simple 2 step system and see your profits skyrocket. Sink this golden phrase into your mind, I will repeat it once again…
“You have to sell yourself to your visitors before you sell them your products and services”

It seems to be the first question every newbie online asks in the popular marketing forums. How do I get more traffic for free? There are many answers and many experts on this subject who will share a few tidbits of their genius every once in a while, yet many still struggle with traffic.
Here’s a short guide to help every marketer in the world boost their traffic without paying a nickel for it. Let’s start with the basics.
First, get a blog on either Blogger or Wordpress. Blogger has the advantage of being owned by Google so your blog can quickly appear in the search results and it’s easy to add Adsense to monetize your blog. When you choose the content for your blog, make sure the keywords that attract visitors to your site appear in the title, description, and posts on your blog. Add links to whatever site or sites you are promoting. Then visit other blogs with those keywords and leave comments of value, including a link to your blog as well.
A second free traffic generating method is searching for directories that accept free submissions to get listed. These are great because the listings are all related to the same niche so people will see your site listed among other prominent sites within the same market. This is also a great way of acquiring more one-way back links to your site which can help boost your search engine rankings and at the same time improve the quality of the directory and the experience of its visitors. That’s what we call a win-win-win situation!
A third method of generating free traffic is using a banner exchange. It’s best if you have an attractive banner to the site you’re promoting so that when it appears on other people’s sites, you will attract visitors away from them and directly to you. The drawback is that you in turn, need to display banner ads as well. I recommend using banner exchanges, but not the traditional way. Using a combination of them, you can exponentially increase your free advertising credits in a short period of time.
Fourth and final method for today is make use of the “about me” page on eBay, no matter what you’re selling. Posting links on your about me page is a great way to attract visitors since eBay is one of the top ten most trafficked sites every day. Make use of eBay’s hard work as leverage to get some of those visitors to come to your site as well.
This is hardly a comprehensive list of free traffic generating methods, but these can be powerful and should not be overlooked when planning a site promotion strategy. Think of ways to use other highly visited sites to attract folks to yours, qualify your prospects before you sell to them, and give them exactly what they buy. They’ll only complain if you don’t, and I know that when I don’t receive what I buy I get irate. So sell what you have and give ‘em what they buy. Use the free traffic to generate new customers and hopefully future referrals.
Tyler Ellison teaches a unique and powerful free traffic strategy at his website using automated systems and guerilla techniques to promote businesses.

With so many people trading on eBay these days it’s hard to see how to get to the top of the eBay pile. Yet making a living is perfectly possible if some basic business methods are followed. This article considers three crucial issues.
Market choice: Most casual eBay sellers don’t have a target market as such - they simply sell to anyone who might buy. To be fair, their marketplace is a vast one and the likelihood is great that someone, somewhere, will want what they are selling. This was the original eBay idea - a vast marketplace of potential buyers with something for everyone.
However, times change and, if you want to make a business out of eBay, a way has to be found of sustaining a viable sales level. This is essential if you want to a) make enough money to be worth the effort and b) climb the eBay pile to be recognised as a serious player. There are two main ways of doing this:
First, simply sell more. If you are an ‘emporium’ type seller - that is, a non-specialised merchant who sells a wide variety of goods - this is, up to a point, easy. You just take on more sales lines to increase your selling chances. The downside to this is that more and more time is spent sourcing, cataloguing and listing - not to mention money ties up in your widening range of inventory.
The other route is via niche marketing. Your sales window may be much smaller but, if you have identified your market properly, that market can be a good one. With less inventory to tie up cash your business can operate on a much leaner model, helping to maximise profit and taking less time in administrative tasks. My choice would always to go with a niche market.
Maximising exposure: It’s an old business truism that you can have the best product in the world but, if no-one knows about it your business will fold. An eBay business is no different. Okay, your auction lots are in front of the eBay world and, if targeted correctly, will probably sell. However, selling purely via auction brings its own problems, not the least of which is the difficulty in projecting profit and loss with its attendant cash flow issues.
It might be wise, therefore, to consider how to best expose your business to the wider world! One way is to write articles like this one. Although they must not be adverts for your business, they can - and should - contain useful information for readers that can generate interest in what you do. That of course leads us on to the next way to get noticed:
A website. Web hosting and domain names are these days so inexpensive in comparison to ten years ago as to be almost laughable. If you’re paying more than forty pounds/eighty dollars a year for web hosting you’re paying too much! It’s so easy too to set up a basic selling website compared to those distant days of the mid-nineties that anyone can do it (even me!). But here’s the kicker: get yourself a basic eBay shop and, using the simple-to-use tools that eBay provide FREE you can embed your eBay shop into your website.
Why do this? Well, it’s a triple whammy. Your eBay shop can drive business to your website and your website drive business to your eBay shop. Also, your auction items draw buyers to your shop, giving shop inventory items much greater exposure. Search engine optimisation is beyond the scope of this article but, by using well-tried techniques, your website should climb the rankings, especially if it is content-rich rather than just a mass of adsense advertising.
Using your eBay shop and website in tandem should, in time, put you way ahead of any competitors utilising only a single marketing stream. Try putting yourself in the buyer’s position - is it a) easy and b) interesting to use you - or someone else?
Customer care: Many people think that the sale is over when you have the order and the payment is in the bank. Wrong! It’s much easier to sell to an existing customer than to get a new one. Existing customers already trust you to a certain extent - if their initial purchase has gone well, been easy and the goods were fine then they are more likely to use you rather than an untried competitor - even if your products are a bit more costly.
It’s true - the fact is that, for many buyers, price isn’t the absolute deciding factor when buying online, especially from a ‘known’ seller. What they want is a) an easy transaction b) peace of mind as far as the quality of their goods goes and c) a reliable delivery that they don’t have to worry about. Give your buyers these three things and they’ll love you for it.
Customer care isn’t difficult but it is essential. Your mindset should not be one that suffers your customers but enjoys them. On a purely practical level this is essential for your business - on a subjective level it helps you enjoy building your business on eBay or elsewhere. In my opinion, the more you can enjoy your business the better it will be - for both you and your customer - and that puts you firmly on the road to success!

Many home businesses are flourishing these days. Many are not.
Why do some go and others stall out and flop? Because of careful preparation steps or lack of them.
It seems like many men and women, of all ages, are interested in earning a good monthly income while having the luxury of working from home. Many are willing to pay the price.
The most difficult part to start is finding the right steps to take to pay the price. Know what I mean?
There is so much that we can do to earn a good living from our home offices. So, you reasonably ask, just what are the steps to take?
In general, no matter what type of business you are interested in pursuing, there are a few steps you should take when starting a business from home.
Choose Your Personal Best Type of Business.
The first thing that anyone wishing to start a business from home must do is to choose a type of business that uses your best skills and desires.
Some things you will like and others you will not like that apply to your education and skills.
I can tell you right now that their are some honest, moral and ethical businesses, on the internet that you will not like but will be able to do well at because of your skills. Most of them will likely be a little of both.
All I can suggest here is to enjoy being at home more and do what makes you the money to grow, at the outset.
If it is boring or you just do not like it, try to tolerate it until you can gradually start doing other things, if that time ever comes.
Bill Gates just admitted to being burned out on his business and that he plans to quit in about two years to manage his charity fund. He did well starting out of a garage.
Whether you wish to sell services or goods, you need to settle on a particular type of business prior to doing anything else. Why?
To pick the right type of business, the prospective business owner must see what the general public will go for the most and run with that.
Find a problem first that many people, or enough to make you a good income anyway, would pay you a fair price to fix it. Like what for example?
On Click Bank look for the best selling affiliate marketing programs that solve serious problems. For example, anti virus and anti spam software.
Millions of people come on line every month and are looking for these two items.
It is imperative that you, the business owner, have goods and services that will sell and sell well to solve problems that people cannot go on living with.
Many people are looking for article directories for articles. Even some article directories are looking for a constant source of good articles. These are both available, as affiliate programs on the internet.
Something as simple as an immediate translation service is a need virtually anyone with a web site will need.
An immediate translation service will immediately increase the pages of any website which raises their website page rating with the rating services.
These and many more affiliate services do exist and are easily found.
Construct a Business Plan
The next thing which must be done relates to building a business plan. Your business plan should contain all of the pertinent items which are necessary to address prior to opening up a business.
The business plan will discuss everything from how one will finance a business to who the targeted customers may be.
One should never jump into owning a business without constructing a business plan.
It is better to get equipment for cash, even take a part time job to pay for it, than to go into debt when starting out. A balanced budget is a very powerful one. Got that?
Your Home Office Considerations
Another step you need to take, prior to starting a business from home, relates to home office considerations.
Depending on the type of business you wish to start with, certain spaces will be more accommodating than others may be.
It is important to look into how the home office will be configured and what items will be necessary in order for the business to be a success. A simple written floor plan will do this.
Determine your employee needs, if any.
She or he who is starting up a home business needs to determine if extra manpower will be needed to help run the operations.
If so, they must decide how many employees will be needed, if any, if they will be part time or full time and how wages will be constructed for the employees. Realism is totally necessary here.
Your financial considerations.
Write down a clear plan of what you want to do at first and then do a dry run of what you will need to do it.
For example, if you are going to do some affiliate or article writing programs, determine exactly what you will need. A computer? A desk? A usp? Some notebooks? A web host for your web site?
Think of everything you will need so you are ready to go at your launch point.
Some things you can get now. Others you will have to wait till you can afford them.
Determine what to get first so it does not become outdated. Then get your other equipment and software when you have the money to do so.
When everything is in your home and ready to go, plan with your family and yourself, what exactly you need to launch your home business and you are on your way.
Keep it simple.

Internet businesses are booming, in many fields, all over the world.
Now, as never before, you can be sure to find yourself myriad work from home internet business opportunities.
No matter where you go or what you do, in the world, you will be sure to find opportunities that will allow you to make a decent income on and off the internet.
It all depends on how well informed you do your triage or due diligence or investigation of business possibilities before you invest time and money out of your life into one.
Saving you a little bit of work, this article will outline some of the common work at home internet business opportunities available. This list includes:
Affiliate programs.
No list of work from home based opportunities is complete without mentioning affiliate programs. Hundreds of thousands of people now make a full and part time income in this burgeoning industry.
In affiliate programs, you usually earn commissions by selling the products of someone else and advertising his or her web site. It is a simple enough concept.
You sign up or join with a partner company, help them sell their products or raise awareness of their company, and you get paid for your targeted marketing services.
Planning to make some money here. It is probably best to build your own website.
If you do not have the technical knowledge to do so, you can buy some site generators or simply ask someone else to do it.
Some online businesses, that are good, build them for you.
Online Data Entry Field.
Another straightforward job or career. Often, data entry simply demands that you key in some information onto forms that your employer will provide.
Some training is needed to get started (and often a joining fee), it is nevertheless a relatively simple job.
As long as you can find a good employer, this is the hardest part, this is one of the easier ways to make money over the internet. Kind of routine.
Writing.
As you might think, writing is an important part of the growth of the internet and the universe, as known to man.
If you are reasonably literate and learn quickly, you may be able to start writing for pay on the internet.
There are unlimited quantities of topics that you can write about, as well as a number of writing formats that are available.
Take for example, you can choose to write content articles, an ebook, or simply run a blog.
There is an original writing skill course out there that costs around $5,000 but it is worth it.
If you try enough business opportunities, here and there, eventually you will receive their offer. It is expensive but excellent.
For excellent, gifted writers, work at home internet business opportunities are never lacking online.
Several web sites offer jobs for this field and bank them and some even charge writers a membership fee for accessing them. If you are a natural, this is your niche.
Paid Emails and Surveys.
Here is another straightforward work at home internet entrepreneur opportunity. In paid emails, you are asked to read and open emails, for a small fee.
With paid surveys, you are asked for your opinion on a variety of subjects; and again you will be paid a small fee for doing so.
As in online data entry, most paid emails and surveys will come through an intermediary, so you will likely be charged a joining fee.
There are free survey groups. Try these first. Some people love doing surveys and do not mind the small fees they make from this. Small does mean small. Okay?
Try it free and then, if you can make some money off of it, try the cheapest paid ones afterwards.
This list of work at home internet business opportunities is not comprehensive although it does give you some ideas of where to start.
Try a few of these out and see which works best for you. Always remember, try the cheapest ones first.
Be a business cheapskate, never overspend until you are good at it. Okay?

The words of wisdom are out. There’s dough to be made on the internet. Well, honestly, that’s not virgin to a lot of mortals; the newsworthiness’s been out for some time. With that stubborn fact, there are millions of the population who’ve heard the news but haven’t seen the assets. So, what’s the secret? How do you really make money online? The buzz’s the same as it is in the bricks and mortar world - you have to know how to sell.
The Online world hasn’t changed the basic premise of making high income, it’s only added a new layer of opportunities. That’s because, other than offense, the only way hard cash changes hands is if a willing buyer meets a willing retailer. And that will never change.
So what’s so complicated about making high income on the internet? For one thing, it’s too easy as pie to get started. Back in the pre-internet days you had to make a sizeable contribution of time and profit to open up your own mercantile. Now, anyone despite a spare twenty bucks can rent some server space and throw up an Online site in a day or less. And that’s the problem.
You see, too many laymen get hold of doing business on the internet from the self-contradictory prospective. It’s not a matter of “build it and they will come”; the Online world is far to crowded despite web sites selling products and services for the observation of shopping online to be novel anymore.
Big companies with years and years of off-line selling experience are competing for the same customers and the same dollars that you are. Given that they have all of this experience, and all of this high income to spend, who do you expect is going to come out the winner?
Blamelessly, it’s not going to be you unless you know how to promote. Once you master the art of selling you stand a better chance of grabbing some of that hard cash the populace are spending with the big boys. And, believe me, you can fill your bank account to overflowing just with the crumbs that fall off of the big retailer’s tables.
Here’s my knowledge, if you really want to make a fortune online. Learn how to clear the trade. Learn how to dangle an offer that’s so enticing that customers will go out of their way to find out more. Then, once you know how to get their attention, learn how to close the sale. Then you’ll join those subjects who have heard the news AND who have seen the fortune!

If you are a stay at home mom you may be getting the urge to do something more with yourself. You may want to make a bit of money while staying at home with the kids all day. One of the best ways for any stay at home mom to make money is by using eBay. This may sound a bit far fetched but the fact of the matter is that thousands of people have turned eBay into a full time job. And to take this a step further, there are many people who have become millionaires by using eBay to buy and sell items. If you work hard at it, you can be next in line for the profits that are being made on eBay everyday of the week.
At this point you may be wondering how eBay can make you money. This is something that a lot of people have on their mind. Using eBay to make money is quite simple. You will list items for sale and then wait for other people to bid on them or purchase at a predetermined price.
But in order to get started with this you will need to have items that you can place for sale on eBay. There are a few ways that you can go about getting these items.
1. To find items to sell on eBay you may want to become a regular at garage sales and flea markets in your area. At these events you can buy items very cheap and then turn around and sell them for a large profit on eBay. This is one option that a lot of stay at home moms opt for when looking for items that they can sell on eBay
2. Another option to consider is making your own products and then listing them on eBay. For instance, some people make crafts such as candles and then list them for sale. You may not think that there is a large audience for this type of thing but there are many people that make a lot of money doing just that.
3. Stay at home moms can get their start on eBay by selling items that they have laying around the house. Chances are that your garage or attic is full of junk that you no longer use. But just because you think that the items you have are junk does not mean that somebody else will. By just selling items that you have in your home you may be able to get your start on eBay. And with the money that you initially make, you can then in turn buy more items. Pretty soon you will notice that your profits are growing.

Billions of dollars worth of products are sold on eBay and other online merchants every year. Where are people getting all these items to sell? Surely, they have emptied their closets and garages by now. Even if they have, finding stuff to sell online is still relatively easy. Several sources are available for those who want to make a little or a lot of cash selling online.
Home Stuff
Not all garages have been cleared of junk. Weekend garage sales are still popular places to find items to sell. Sales in high income areas tend to net more quality items like designer clothes, high end furniture and antiques. However, do not neglect an average Joe garage sale, one never knows what unique items will be unearthed regardless of the neighborhood. Go to these sales toward the end of the day. Home owners will be more inclined to sell you merchandise at rock bottom prices rather than having to pack up unsold items.
Look through your own garage and closets to find items to sell online. You may be harboring old clothes, books, Cds and toys that will bring in a few bucks online. Offer to rid your friends and family of their unwanted junk by selling on consignment. You sell their stuff and keep %25 of the profits. Local retailers may also agree to let you sell their overstocks and returned merchandise on consignment as well.
Buy And Sell Online
Finding products to sell online is as easy as buying it from the same online source. eBay is an excellent place to find everything from antiques to huge lots of merchandise that you can buy and resell at a profit.
Locate other online sources by using search terms such as wholesale liquidators, closeout dealers and drop ship services. These same sources can also be found in print media including the Yellow Pages and classified ads in newspapers, trade magazines and free weeklies.
Auction Action
Unclaimed, slightly damaged and repossessed merchandise can be purchased at freight claims and government auctions. Check the Yellow Pages for contact information and newspaper classified section for upcoming sales.
There are storage unit operation on every corner these days. The storage company auctions off the contents of unpaid rental units. Although the contents are sold on sight, there are probably enough sale worthy items inside to let you break even.
Estate auctions are another great source for finding stuff to sell online. Like garage sales, high income estates yield the greatest funds but gems can be found regardless of the estates net worth. These sales are advertised in the newspaper.
Drop Shipping
Drop shipping is an easy, hands off way to sell online. You send the order to the manufacturer or distributor and they ship the product to the customer. No inventory or shipping hassles to worry about.
Local Events
Bazaars, flea markets and festivals are good sources for everything from unique handmade crafts to valuable collectibles. Like garage sales, stop by near closing time for deep discounted deals.
Check with the local convention and visitors bureau to find out about upcoming trade shows that are open to the public. You wll be able to buy from manufacturers and sale reps selling the latest products on the market.
Offshore Action
Asia is a good source for finding stuff to sell online. However, the red tape and cost of contacting sources, there can be a hassle. Your best bet is to hook up with a manufactures who has overseas connections. There is enough available home grown sources for locating products to sell to make this option necessary.

You should be able to find several indispensable facts about Niche Product Creation in the following paragraphs.
Always use beta testers for your niche product. If you already have a listed, this is an easy way to get testers. Simply send out a broadcast to your list asking if people are interested in getting a free copy of your product in turn for their feedback. This does two things for you: it helps you work out bugs and potential problems and it also gets you positive testimonials at the same time.
When working with others to create niche products, you will always want to keep the long term, rather than the short term, in mind. For instance, if you are hiring a ghostwriter to research and write a book in the self help niche for you, you should actually pay the writer well, so that he/she looks forward to working with you in the future.
When creating niche products, avoid competing with substitute products. Instead, figure out how you can work with those product owners. For instance, can you create a joint venture partnership with the owner of those products? Can you possibly create a good product, but instead find a way to sell it with them, rather than against them?
Purchase a program that allows you to create your own software. This will help you to expand your niche product creation abilities beyond simply creating an executable ebook or a PDF. Additionally, software has a higher perceived value, which means it is likely to convert better than other options; however, this will vary from niche to niche.
If you have sites that already receive natural search engine traffic for a given niche, consider setting up polls on those sites to determine what your best course of action might be in terms of product creation. For instance, ask your visitors what type of product they want, software, ebooks, videos, audios, or something else entirely.
Consider purchasing a ‘brander’ program for your niche products. These programs will allow your product affiliates or redistributors to change the affiliate links in the product to their own affiliate links. This will make them actually want to sell (or give away) more copies of said product so that they can earn more, too.
Find joint venture partners to help you create a niche product, rather than doing all the work yourself. One good idea is to find someone who also has a considerable list and ask them if they are interested in partnering with you, if only to write one chapter. They will then have a reason to sell the product you partnered on to their list.
Make an attempt to brand your niche product. For instance, you could use an interesting concept, such as Mike Filsaime’s ‘Butterfly Marketing’ or you could use your own name, especially if you have a considerable amount of clout in your own industry. Branding will help your product gain notoriety; and will also facilitate the creation of pre-launch ‘buzz.’

Garage sales and flea markets are so 20th century. Quality manufacturers who sell to us at good wholesale prices are nice also. Today, if you have merchandise to peddle, the first market you want to try and sell it on is eBay.
This amazing market place sells virtually everywhere on Earth and has spawned lots of copycats. It is truly the internet marketing place.
You will be joining thousands of other like minded citizens who seek to make money selling their products on the popular web site. Everyone is aware of the online selling gravy train, so you will need to make your items stand out somehow in order to make more money on eBay.
Size up your Competition
Before listing your items for an auction, check out the Completed Items listings on eBay itself. Here, you will see what products are up for sale, what their prices are, and how they are presented to the public market. You might also get a better idea on what title to put on your product to produce a higher price.
Do not overload the auction site with items. Your income will be higher on eBay auctions if you sell a few items at the same time rather than overload the auction site with many items.
How To Describe Your Wares
You will have limited space for product information so make your words count. Be intense and study other similar items for sale to get more ideas. The competition can not hide from you here.
In the auction title be careful to avoid words such as Look, or Wow. No one ever types in these words to do a search. Use words that potential buyers will be likely to use when searching for your product. Put yourself in the buyer shoes for best results.
Be generously informative with information in the auction description. Include any product details that buyers will find helpful. Walk in the shoes of the buyer. Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words (or perhaps a thousand dollars!). A good, color picture is absolutely essential to catch the eye of a buyer.
Shipping News Must Be Kept As Low As Possible.
Do not tack on excessively high shipping and handling costs to your auction sales. While your goal is to make more money on eBay, unfairly high shipping fees may turn off buyers. You will definitely get more sales dropped and refunded with this greedy tactic.
Treat your customer the way you wish to be treated. Many businesses have gone broke because they did not do this simple act of kindness.
There is always another seller who will give them a better deal. Much of my success has come from lower prices, shipping and higher quality wrapped up with the best service possible. Trust me on this one.

There are so many success stories about the person who started an online jewelry or other online store and made $500,000 in the first year. They just seemed to do it overnight. They designed a jewelry website, put on some products and the sales just kept coming. It happened so fast that they were up all night, sleeping on the floor of their new offices and begging friends to help pack and ship all their orders. They quit their day jobs that they hated. Now they sit on their favorite vacation spot while others fulfill their orders. They just check their emails and bank accounts periodically to check on their new found riches. I hate to be one to ruin this fantasy. This may be the case for a lucky few, but for most online stores this is hardly the case.
If your business is approached with the immediate need for profitability then your expectations are unrealistic. You will be in a hurry to succeed only to find that your haste caused your failure. The key to eventual success is to proceed at a slow and steady pace. Focus on survival and spend your money very cautiously. You will be faced with many learning experiences regardless of your level of business experience. Each experience will build your knowledge base. You will make some mistakes. The trick is to recover from them quickly and learn from them.
My advice would be to start small and begin with a low dollar inventory. The beginning of your business is a very important phase. You will need to learn about running your business without the stress of carrying high dollar inventory such as 14k gold, diamonds and gemstones. A terrific way to begin your online jewelry store is to start with lower cost inventory items such as sterling silver or beaded jewelry. This can include silver necklaces, earrings, bracelets and charms. Once you understand how to manage your business using these products then slowly begin to integrate some inexpensive 14k gold, gemstone and diamond jewelry into your product mix. As you grow begin to add more expensive jewelry items.
This approach will give you time to really learn your business. You will understand how to manage your cash flow, marketing and the seasonality of retailers. Also you will learn all the computer aspects of your operations. This includes marketing, search engine optimization and data management. Since you are an online business you are very different from a traditional brick and mortar jewelry store.
I wish you success in your online venture. My journey has been slow, steady and has finally achieved some level of success and recognition in the online world. Even if I could sit at my favorite vacation spot all day counting my riches I wouldn’t be happy. I love what I do. It’s interesting and challenging, and as a result, it doesn’t feel like work at all.

The biggest obstacle for the stay at home business mom is the kids. That screaming toddler is not going to be quiet when you have business calls or take that nap to let you get your work done. This will be the same child who will eat all of your post-its and stick food into your hard drive. As you are ripping your hair out and getting more and more frustrated you will wonder what the point of working at home was if you were going to still need childcare. You were probably envisioning no more commutes, flexible hours, and lunch with the kids’ everyday. Your childcare options are flexible as well that is the beauty of being self-employed.
1) Childcare Co-op: Find a group of work at home parents and swap off childcare duties. You can keep track of how many hours you watch each child and use the time you accrue when you need it most. The great thing about this is it is free. The downside is that you will have to give up work time to handle other people’s children.
2) Trading or Mom-swapping: This is the smaller version of co-op. this will involve you and a good friend trading off childcare days. Make sure you set clear boundaries about when you will take the other child and when they will take yours. You don’t want to be taken advantage of. You will also want to make sure the kids like each other and get along well. If they don’t then this will end up being a bad experience.
3) Sitter Sharing: Share a sitter with a friend. You can have the sitter watch both kids at the same time and split the cost or use the sitter on alternate days. Make sure that you have a written agreement on how the sitter is used and what you will be paying to avoid any unseen complications.
4) Barter: Trade your products and services with a neighbor or friend in exchange for childcare. This will keep you from spending money and still pay the person doing the care for you.
To come up with inexpensive childcare solutions you must be a networking prowess. Spread the word that you are looking for childcare to everyone you knows. Think in terms of trading and business opportunities. You are looking for a partner in business deal. This will help you to get what you need. Some moms are lucky to have businesses that are kid friendly. They are the lucky for sure. Those ladies who have to make endless phone calls or have meetings may find that childcare of some sort is unavoidable. Try your best to get the right childcare for you and not spend an arm and a leg getting it.

Accepting credit cards is a vital part of any online business. Although South Africa is far behind the rest of the world, offering EFT as your only form of payment is no longer enough. With that in mind, it’s important for you to know what your options are. Here is a short outline of some companies in South Africa that offer online credit card processing.
Pay Gate
These guys offer a pretty standard service and you will need to have a merchant account with Standard Bank.
It’s generally recommended that you have a programmer on your side if you choose to use this company. The last time I worked with them, their support was good but their solutions weren’t quite as easy to implement as they could have been.
iVeri
This company works through Nedbank and offers very similar services to PayGate. I generally wouldn’t recommend a company like this to a small business that is just starting out as it will require more resources than you are likely to have at hand.
Setcom
This company is, by far, my favourite online credit card processor. They’ve been around since 1999 but have recently started a similar service to PayPal.
In essence, they allow you to charge credit cards without having a merchant account. This means that you can get up and running much faster as it can often take over three months to successfully applied for a merchant account at one of the major banks.
Another wonderful benefit of using Setcom is that they make it super easy for you to add “Buy Now” buttons to your web site.
On top of that (yes — there is more!) you can sign up for free right now and be up and running within a couple of hours. No other provider that I know of offers this.
There are plenty of solutions that you can consider that Setcom is probably your best bet as a small business.
Pricetag
Unlike the other companies have mentioned so far, I have had no firsthand experience with this company. They come highly recommended by an associate of mine. Their web site looks really good so I recommend you check them out before making a decision.
If you’re not selling online, you’re leaving a lot of money on the table. People want to buy your products now, not tomorrow. If you’re not set up for e-commerce, they’ll simply take their business to your competitor.

In these days of buying and selling online, we no longer get to see the folks we buy from face to face. We don’t live in the same communities, sometimes not even in the same country! We don’t know them by sight or reputation and we have to make instant decisions about whether or not we can trust them enough to give them our credit card number. When you think about all that goes into this decision, it is truly amazing how much business takes place online!
There are Five Key ways to build trust in your website for those who visit you online. Remember, you may only have about 15 seconds to do so before your visitor clicks away and is gone to another website. So these key ways are factors that must be evident at first glance or that can be found with a minimum of clicking around your site. Otherwise, you may lose the opportunity to gain that visitor as a new customer forever.
The first Key is an appropriate Look for your website. I could have said a professional look, but what is appropriate has a lot to do with the market you are trying to reach. It should be professional in that it looks well made, it logically set up and is easy to navigate. Broken links, hard to find information, too many fonts, or too many ads in relation to the information can all be quick turnoffs that spell trouble for keeping visitors there long enough to convert them into customers.
The second Key is easy to find Contact Information. Only you can decide in what ways you will allow your visitors and customers to contact you; however, nothing builds trust faster than providing a physical address and a telephone number. This instills confidence that you are a real business and not a scam artist. It helps your visitor know that if they take a chance and buy from you, that they can contact you if they have a problem.
The third Key is customer Testimonials. The more real you can make these testimonials appear the better. Providing full names and/or partial addresses or some combination helps a lot. You can leave out enough to protect your customer. For example, you could use K. Davis from Charlotte, NC or you could use Karen Davis from North Carolina. Use some common sense with this. Karen Davis is a very common name so putting my whole name with the state isn’t likely to make it very easy for someone to track me down. If using a comment from someone with a more unusual name, you would need to exercise more caution. But it is not going to do a whole lot to build trust in your visitors if you give a comment from K.D., NC. Whenever possible, adding a picture or an audio will ramp up the trust factor in your customer testimonials.
The fourth Key is the judicious use of Website Seals. These are verification of the trustworthiness of your website from an outside source. They can have a huge impact on the confidence level of your visitors. Placing these seals in a prominent area of your website is a good idea. There are many different Website Seals and you need to decide which will work best for your website.
The fifth Key is a rock solid Money Back Guarantee. How exactly you offer this guarantee depends on what you are selling. You may have to be careful in certain industries that your guarantee does not leave you too open to being taken advantage of. However, your guarantee should radiate confidence that you know that your customers will be well served and, if not, that they do have a recourse. There are few items that can be easily sold online without this key.
With these Five Keys in place, an Appropriate Look, Contact Information, Testimonials, Website Seals, and a Money Back Guarantee, you will be well on your way to keeping visitors at your website long enough to convert them into customers!
Karen Davis is a SAHM and entrepreneur outside Charlotte, North Carolina. She helps aspiring ebook authors at http://www.wahventures.com and her favorite Website Seal is HonestE at http://wahventures.com/boostsales.

We had recently opened the online jewelry store Lulu Bells Treasures. A couple of small sales trickled in during the first few days. Then a sale for a $400 14k gold bracelet appeared. We were ecstatic. The store was moving in the right direction. The sale was approved and the zip code matched the bank’s records. However, there were codes indicating the customers street address didn’t match. We tried to call the customer and there was no answer or answering machine. This should have been a flag that something was wrong. However, we were new online merchants and were inexperienced in mail order.
The next step was to call our store’s merchant services provider. The representative advised us that there was nothing unusual about the situation. People moved all the time. This person probably moved recently within the same town and didn’t update their credit card billing address yet. Of course the risk was all ours but they advised us that it was probably safe to send the merchandise.
We decided to proceed with the sale. Perhaps it was a birthday gift or anniversary present. We didn’t want the customer to be dissatisfied. This was a new online business and we wanted to build a good reputation. Also, this was a relatively large sale for us at the time. Within a few days the gold bracelet was delivered and signed for at the billing address. We thought this was the end of the story.
About a month later we received a message from the true cardholder. She lived in the same town as the shipping address but stated she never purchased a gold bracelet. As a matter of fact she was out of the country on her honeymoon and returned to find that someone had stolen her credit card number to make many purchases while she was away. Of course we provided the true cardholder with a refund. Our big first sale turned into a big first loss.
The local police department in the cardholder’s town called us, and to our surprise they found the woman that was fraudulently using the card within a week. The detective advised us that she wasn’t a very smart criminal since she used her home computer to make all the purchases. They were able to track her down through her internet service provider. He also explained that they recovered the gold bracelet and that it was still new in the box. It would be returned to us after it was used as evidence.
After a few months passed we still hadn’t heard from the police department regarding the return of the gold bracelet. We called and asked for the detective that contacted us initially. He now had a different story. He now said that they never recovered the bracelet, and therefore, it could not be returned to us. We argued a bit and then realized that something unethical probably had happened. We thought it was in our best interest to drop the matter. Too much time had been spent already on this matter.
A couple of months later we received a form to complete from the defendant’s attorney. The attorney was asking for leniency for the accused woman. It took us no time to make our decision. We signed a statement asking the court to consider leniency and community service as opposed to jail time. At this point we realized that although she was wrong, there were other individuals that were guilty as well. Unfortunately these individuals would never have to face charges.
Quite a few lessons were learned. If a sale seems suspicious don’t proceed until you are fully satisfied that it is legitimate. Check out any suspicious situation with the card holders bank. Since then we have evolved into a much larger business and have learned how to identify potential problems and avoid losses. We rely upon sophisticated software that screens the transactions. Almost all of the fraudulent attempts are blocked and no longer waste our time. And, there is also the knowledge that only comes from experience. If something feels wrong it probably is wrong. Learn to trust your instincts and act accordingly.

While Site Build It is a great tool for building websites that generate free, targeted traffic, it can’t work miracles. If you choose the wrong niche market, not even SBI will be able to help you make it work.
Niche selection is critical to the success of your online business. It’s no use building tons of great content, finding appropriate affiliate programs and pouring your heart and soul into your web business if your market isn’t interested in buying from you (or doesn’t have the capacity to buy from you).
Make sure you follow these tips before you nail down your niche market or your site will struggle and most likely disappoint you with its results.
1) For best results, you should have a personal interest or even a passion for your chosen niche market. It takes time to build an online business despite what the ‘Get Rich’ ads tell you. If you aren’t passionate about the market you choose you run the risk of losing interest before you finish building your business and you’ll simply be wasting your time.
2) The market you target must not be too big or you’ll get lost in the crowds of people all trying to get people’s attention. Big active markets are great if you have a huge marketing budget and lots of public awareness, but they are extremely hard for small business people to break into.
It’s not impossible, but you’ll do much better initially if you choose a small, sub niche related to one of the big markets and start there. For example, cars is a big market, Chevy cars is a sub niche, Chevy car repairs is a better niche to start in with much less competition.
The Site Build It Brainstormer is ideal for finding perfectly targeted, tightly focused keywords that you can consistently rank well for in these smaller niche markets. Starting small will mean you have a good chance of generating free traffic quickly and getting your web business off on a strong foundation.
Ultimately you could expand out into the wider Chevy car market, but by starting small, you give your web business every opportunity of making it because you are laser focus on a specific topic.
3) The niche you choose must have lots of people who are willing and able to spend money on products and services. Not only that, but it’s best that they are spending money on Information products because this is where the highest profit margins are.
It’s OK to promote physical products online and many people do very well at this, but you can’t beat information products for making lots of high margin, hassle free profits.
4) You want your niche market to be filled with people who are extremely passionate about everything to do with their favorite topic. It’s much easier to sell products (especially information products) and services to people who are pre-disposed to buying all sorts of stuff to fuel their passion.
If the niche you are considering isn’t filled with people who are jumping over each other with excitement, it could be a red flag that makes you think twice before spending the time required to build a business around it.
5) Even if you are going to offering your own products and services, it pays to be involved in a market where there are lots of affiliate programs available so you have opportunities to promote additional products to your list of prospects and buyers.
Not everyone is going to buy what you have for sale, so having affiliate products to fall back on will mean you will never be short of things to offer your growing list of subscribers.
By following these 5 tips for selecting a profitable niche market, your Site Build It site will have every chance of not only ranking well in the search engines but generating the kind of returns that will put a smile on your face for years to come.

The trick to beginning any business is to actually begin. The first few steps are the hardest. So many people have terrific business ideas that they never implement. Once you overcome inertia, the business will seem to take on a life of its own. Then the remaining steps and the related business decisions will appear and you will not have to go after them.
Step 1 Select a Jewelry Store Name and Domain Name.
This step is difficult and extremely important. You should select a name for your online jewelry store that is easily remembered. It should be catchy. Do you want your jewelry store to be elegant or perhaps trendy? The name will set a tone for your business. The corresponding URL should be easy to remember. I would avoid using hyphens or underscores in the URL since they are hard to remember. Register all reasonable variations of the name that you selected for a one year period. You can always renew them next year. This will protect you from potential cyber-squatters in the future.
Of utmost importance is selecting a name that is not currently in use by another online or offline business. This includes names that may be considered confusingly similar to an already existing business. Once you decide upon the name, contact a trademark attorney to see if the name is already trademarked. If it is available apply for the trademark. This step is very important. Your site can be taken away from you in the future if someone wins a trademark infringement suit claiming you are infringing upon their registered trademark. All your effort and marketing expenses for that name will be wasted.
Step 2 Select a legal entity for your business.
Many businesses begin as sole proprietorships, or DBA’s. This is the easiest and least costly way to begin. You will need a business license from your locality. The downside of this form of business is you can be held personally liable if you are sued. All of your personal assets will be at risk.
The next option is to incorporate. This is more costly to set up. It can be done online without an attorney if you are comfortable setting something up yourself. This would be the least costly way to set up a corporation. The upside to a corporate entity is that the corporation is a separate legal entity. Therefore, your personal assets should not be at risk if you operate the corporation as a separate entity. You should consult an attorney for further details on the appropriate legal entity for your business.
Step 3 Select a service to host your website.
There are many services out there with many different price structures. Check at least three references before proceeding with any service. Look at the sites they maintain. Are their customers satisfied? Do they have good customer service if you have problems? Are the sites operating properly? Are the sites up and running all the time? Are there periods when your site may not be online due to system problems?
Step 4 Design Your Website.
If you can design your own site there are many software programs available. Some of them are excellent, but they are also very complex. If you are able to do this yourself you can save a great deal of money. However, if you don’t set the site up properly it will not be indexed by the major search engines. Your internet search traffic could be negatively affected by mistakes. So, if you don’t feel comfortable doing this yourself then a web designer would be appropriate. They can be found online. Again, check references and ask to see other sites that they designed before making a commitment. Make sure they are aware of good search engine optimization techniques.
Step 5 Buy Jewelry to Place in Inventory.
You will need to decide what types of jewelry you will sell. My suggestion is to begin with lower cost inventory at first to begin building your site. This would include sterling silver and semi-precious gemstone jewelry. Add higher value gold, diamond and gemstone inventory as you progress and begin to build an online reputation.
Of course there are many more steps to building your online jewelry store. But if you get through the beginning first steps the momentum will build and you will be on your way. The ideas that you have pondered for so long will finally begin to exist. It is a wonderful feeling. Good Luck!

If you are currently working at a 9 to 5 job and are new to the internet and you plan to pursue the many income opportunities that it offers, it is important know the difference between making online as opposed to earning money at job.
So what’s the difference between the two? The distinction is this, you earn money at a job because you are simply swapping hours for dollars at a fixed hourly wage or salary. You are doing manual labor and in order for you to receive your paycheck week after week you must report to work on a daily basis to “earn your pay”.
Even worse, this 9 to 5 may be financially and emotionally unfulfilling for you because there are financial limits. The salary or hourly wage is usually capped per position, so it doesn’t matter if you advance there are only so many levels to advance to and your usually grey and old by the time you reach the top of the pyramid and that’s if you didn’t hit a career bump and get capsized or downsized in the process.
Making money on the other hand is an entirely different concept and mindset. It involves having money working for you rather than you having to work for it. Having multiple streams of income flowing into your bank account from the internet is THE WAY to have your money working for you instead of you working for it.
For example, as an affiliate marketer all you have to do is invest a little bit of money in constructing a fully optimize content based website and the advertising and promotion of it. Once your affiliate system is in place, you make money on a recurring basis without you having to be physically present. You have in effect created a passive income that does not have any limits as to how much you can make.
Another key component of making money on the internet involves the principles of leverage which entails utilizing other people resources, money, know how, experience, time and systems for maximum gain. To expand on the previous example of the affiliate marketer, an affiliate makes money selling someone else’s product on the internet.
Depending on the partnership, the affiliate makes money when someone buys the product, or by getting people to click over to the merchant’s website. The principles of leverage are in effect because the affiliate marketer didn’t spend the money to create the product and doesn’t own it. Someone else does, but it does not matter because the affiliate benefits and makes money.
As you can clearly see making money on the internet is entirely different from earning money at a job the question is which one do you prefer? Personally, I prefer to make money on the internet.

Like most people in life I bet you enjoy a challenge. Making money on the internet by turning your hobby into a business is a challenge you need to take for 3 reasons:
1.When you succeed you realize that you have created a life-long source of income working from home doing something you enjoy in your free time.
2.Internet businesses aren’t a new phenomenon and all the training and support you need to be successful is just a click away.
3.Affiliate programs are like pre-packaged businesses. Do a simple search and find one that caters to your hobby. Just like a model plane comes with all the pieces, so can your home business. All you have to do is follow the instructions.
4. The only requirement for you to earn money on the internet is a willingness to learn something new, and to take action on what you’re taught.
Let’s talk about 2 of the key components you need to be successful in your internet business.
Website:
Your website is like your store-front on the internet. It’s where people go to buy your products and services, read useful information that they’ve searched for online, or just to look and see what you have to offer. Your money making website is always on 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Your business never sleeps and you don’t have to open it up in the morning, so your potential for creating wealth from your site never stops either. From North America to Japan, and all over the world people can see what your home business has to offer at anytime. Your audience is not limited to your street, or city, or even your country.
If you decide to sell somebody else’s products online, that company will also give you a quality website that’s been proven to pull in sales (no need to build your own). Your only job at that point is to promote the product or service on the internet and have your website URL spread across the internet in as many ways as you’ve been taught(without spamming).
Let’s take a look at one way now:
Article Submission:
Writing articles is fun and easy. All you need to do to write a good article is:
a. Find out what aspect of your hobby you’d like to tell people about, or do a search for what people generally want to know about your hobby. What are some of the common areas people seek help in as it pertains to your hobby?
b. Put together an outline like you would do for a school essay and then expand on your main points. Your articles need not be long either 400-500 words are just fine.
c. Use your subject or topic name in the article at least 4-5 times or whenever relevant so that search engines pick up your article when people search the topic.
d. Add a link to your own website or your affiliate site at the bottom of the article so people can get more info or buy from you. Then submit them to article directories where people can read them anytime.
e. Submitting your articles is like putting your link on somebody else’s website. Doing this makes your home business site or affiliate promotion more popular under your topic and increases the chances people will find your link when searching online.
At first an online business from home is like a puzzle, you find out what pieces you need and then fit them together into a system that works for you.

website that pulls in profits like crazy? With the Plug In Profit Site, you could have one in 24 hours or less! No tech skills required. You’re ready in 3 easy steps. Visit this site for more info:

This is it. You’ve read enough books and listened to enough tapes that really don’t tell you anything specific about how to put money in your pocket. Put down the success books, you’re about to learn 5 methods you can start using today to help grow your business or get it started. There are a million ways to make money, especially on the Internet, but in case you don’t want to have to invent them all, we’re going to get you started with 5 Clear-Cut Ways to Make Money on the Internet.
The Five
The first method, and often unused, is to take advantage of the public domain. Public Domain can be a tricky concept for some. But basically it means what it says, the work (be it literary, music, photography or art, government publications, audio recordings, or any other previously-copyrighted work) belongs to the public and not specifically to one individual or association.
There are many factors at work when it comes to public domain. Some works (such as books) may have been copyrighted before, and the copyright has expired. You do not have to pay a royalty or receive the creator’s permission to use these works.
Any work created by the U.S. Government (including photographs, motion pictures and videos, radio broadcasts, white papers, forms, and other literature) is also public domain and copyright free.
In addition, all work published before 1923 is now part of the public domain, and can be used freely. This is a great way to create information products for resale without you breaking a sweat and guess what? You never ever have to pay a royalty.
The second method, and a great way to boost your image and make money on the Internet, is by interviewing experts. You can record the conversation and sell it as an audio recording, including as a podcast.
You also have the option of transcribing that recording and adding it to your site as content for paying members or selling just the transcript as a “Featured Report”. Being ’seen’ with an expert in any field is a great way to increase your credibility with current and prospective customers.
The third method was hinted at above and that is through the use of paid membership websites. Membership websites can work whether you’re selling a product or a service. Remember, though, that members always deserve special attention, so be prepared to go the extra mile for them on a regular basis.
Executed successfully, membership websites can lead to a solid residual income, not only from the renewed memberships, but also from advertising. When you grow your membership base, you are growing regular customers who pay you on a regular basis for your opinions or services, you are the expert.
When you endorse another product or service as an expert, it carries more weight with your members. They will be more likely to buy what you endorse and therefore advertisers will really like it if you show what they offer.
The fourth method was also mentioned above. Podcasting. It was named the 2005 word of the year, but don’t be mislead. You don’t need an iPod in order to listen to or download a podcast. Some companies have referred to “podcast” as meaning a “Personal On Demand Broadcast”. Very simply, it is a file that is audio, video or a mixture of both. It can be downloaded free to a computer or portable media player or you can sell them.
Many radio shows offer podcasts of past shows from their websites for a marginal fee of course. You can have your own radio show on the Internet. You could sell the audio or video files in 5-minute clips or combine them for 1-2 hour broadcasts. The limit is really your own creativity.
Finally, the fifth method for making money on the Internet is through the use of teleseminars. If you are part of a skilled trade or really if you are skilled in anything, then you have knowledge of something that others want. You can record yourself teaching the subject.
Painting techniques, home-improvement secrets and even history lessons can all be recorded as teleseminars for your soon-to-be students. You can invite some experts to come in and share their own views. Show the beneficial impact people have experienced from putting your techniques into practice.
There you have it, 5 rock solid methods of improving your current income level. Just using even one of these techniques successfully can have a dramatic effect, but a full-service company will use a combination of them all. Even if you’re selling one product or service, packaging it in different ways will appeal to different types of people.
Some would rather see your message as a teleseminar, while others would like to hear what the experts have to say. Still others might be interested in a similar product or service that you advertise for on your site. Test out different combinations and ask your customer list what they’d like to see. The more choices you offer, the greater your income will grow.

Blogs- Many people today are using blogs as a great source of income. Blogs can be helpful in many ways. It can generate traffic to your website, work to generate affiliate program income, instill trust in your visitors, and provide you an extra source of income. Typically, blogs work well when coupled with a website, affiliate program, or other methods such as AdSense.
The key to making blogs work, is to provide real and valuable information to your visitors. You should show your expertise, it should be relevant to whatever product or service you offer, and each post should be extremely well written, easy to read, and informative.

You have probably read plenty about niche marketing on the internet - but what does it really mean? This article takes a look at niche marketing in its context as an eBay shop based business.
eBay: who would have thought ten years ago that this little project of Pierre Omidyar’s, started in his living room, would now be the global phenomenon it has grown into? Many things have changed in the last ten years and opportunities for business online have mushroomed to the extent that there’s now almost ‘too much information’. One thing that seems to baffle people who want to get on the eBay bandwagon - and it’s nothing to do with the mechanics of having an eBay account which, let’s face it, are pretty simple. No - the real stumper for many people is this: what do I sell? What do I trade in? And what’s the best way to get exposure for my goods?
These questions are not asked by the casual eBay member; the one who wants to sell off some unwanted household goods or hold the online version of a garage sale. That type of trading, although still massively widespread amongst the eBay community, is not what niche marketing is about. In fact, it’s not what an eBay business in 2007 is about at all.
I personally don’t know any eBay millionaires but they doubtless exist and let’s get one thing straight: eBay did NOT make these people rich - they made THEMSELVES rich. They had the savvy to see that eBay is what it is - a superb turnkey operation simply begging to be taken advantage of. They learned how to take advantage of the plethora of tools and reports that eBay waved in front of them, tools that elsewhere could well have cost a fortune. And do you know what? You can do exactly the same! It’s just a question of learning how to use the eBay system.
One of the must-knows for anyone setting up or operating any trading business is this: know your market. What do your customers want? Where are they? What do they want to pay for your goods? These are questions that all business owners must know but, before that, before anything, you must know what you are going to sell. What is your stock-in-trade? Where will you buy it from? What investment do you need and (and this is a really important one) - how are you going to get those products in front of these potential customers that your research tells you are champing at the bit to buy from you?
In a redbrick business there are several avenues to market - direct mail, yellow pages, mailshots, catalogues - all tried and tested and all ranging from quite expensive to ruinously so. Just try pricing a minute of prime TV airtime - but have the smelling salts ready! On eBay things are a little different - simply get an eBay shop.
For those who don’t know what an eBay shop is, in some ways it’s a return to the old virtual shopping mall idea of the late ‘nineties, with all the pros and none of the cons. The virtual malls were a good idea let down by clunky servers and snail-speed connections. By contrast, an eBay shop is quick, easy to maintain and, importantly, easy for your prospective customers to use. It’s also inexpensive and will put your goods in front of more prospective customers than you could ever realistically hope to contact by other means.
Where an eBay shop can really come into its own is when you have your own website. Why? Simple. Your eBay shop can easily be embedded into a page on your site - where of course you can offer other goods or services and have targeted ads such as Google AdSense on the page, giving you more opportunities to earn income. An eBay shop can be as simple or as complex as you like and can grow as your business and experience does. Many people start off by selling products that they are interested in - a niche interest! But there are many, many niches within the eBay marketplace and ways of discovering them do exist - unfortunately these are beyond the scope of this article.
eBay shops are ideal for those niche businesses I mentioned above. If you want to sell pottery figures from Wade - great! Bakelite inkwells - no problem! I’m not saying you’ll ever make your fortune doing this but the important thing is that you will ‘cut your teeth’ in a real business environment - and there are enough niches for all. Mayb
