If you’re having trouble generating web traffic on your website, there are some tricks that you should know. A great way to drive traffic to your network marketing company’s website is the use of content sharing sites. If you don’t know how to use content sharing sites with network marketing, then here are a few starter hints, as well as some other advice about advertising your network marketing company.
Content sharing sites cover a wide range of services. Some are video, audio and photo-based sites, while others focus on the written word. Content sharing sites can be beneficial to a network marketing business in several ways. Many sites offer the ability to write blogs. The word blog is short for web log, which is basically a journal. A blog can contain personal experiences or opinions, but for network marketing purposes a blog should contain business-related information. It doesn’t always have to be directly about business, but it should contain at least a clever connection to your business. For example, if you’re writing about a movie you saw last weekend, be sure to tie it in somehow to your network marketing website. There is a clever way to drive traffic to your site using a blog.
Anchor text can be used to link your readers to your website. Anchor text is the set of words in a sentence or phrase that activates a hyperlink. A hyperlink redirects readers to another site when they click on it. The anchor text is often a different color than the rest of the text, usually blue. When a reader clicks on the appropriate words, a new window pops up, redirecting them to your site. This is a great way to bring traffic to your site, especially in network marketing.
Your can create your own content sharing site and sell space on it in order to drive traffic to your business website. Others purchase the use of your site in order to join your affiliate marketing team. Then they link to you in their blogs, while you link to them as well. This way you drive traffic between you and your affiliates, increasing the chances of monetization.
Avoid using pay-per-click advertising for these websites. Search engines aren’t fond of this technique, since many pay-per-click sites end up being informational portals instead of useful websites. Many of these sites are also generic replicas of each other. Duplicate content is frowned upon by search engines as well. Internet clutter is best when avoided.
The easiest way to monetize using content sharing is with the aforementioned affiliate links. You meet other network marketing entrepreneurs and help each other out by allowing links to each other’s sites. Products and services are bought and sold, and knowledge is shared with a nice monetary exchange.
With a little help from your network marketing friends and a nice content sharing site, you can maximize web traffic and monetization. Learn the simple art of the hyperlink, and avoid spammy, generic pay-per-click advertising sites. Keep your integrity high and you’ll make a nice profit in network marketing. Keep your friends close, since the key word is networking.
Content sharing sites are an excellent way of generating web traffic to a website purchased from your network marketing company.Avoid using pay per click advertising for this purpose.Erik Gifford,a network marketing internet attraction marketing coach has posted a free article at network marketing guidance.

This is really one of the great benefits of marketing the online business ideas. When you run online marketing with residual strategy, which is additionally totally free, it is actually automatic, an automatic income.
1.When The Airplane Has Done Successful Take-Off, It Does Not Need So Much Power To Fly.
This metaphor fits very well to the marketing of the online business ideas. It takes lots of long term work to get it going, but when you have succeeded in that, it can be ran with relatively light work.
I use SEO as my main tactics to drive targeted traffic to my site. SEO requires a number of first page positions on the result pages of the search engines. Now the question is, what kind of keywords will bring the best and slow long term results.
2.Long Tail Keywords With Low Daily Demand Are The Best Ones.
I have two principles, I try to automate as much as possible of my online business ideas marketing and I try to do this marketing so that I will get the best results with everything I do. SEO as a general tactics is ideal for this, article marketing plus regular blog posting with optimized articles and wide distribution will execute my SEO bringing residual results. Great!
Long tail keywords mean many benefits. Because the term long tail means that the term includes many related and low demand keywords, they can increase the search engine rankings of my site on several result pages simultaneously.
And the lasting ranking comes from the fact that I use low demand keywords, because with these keyterms the competition is lower, from 10 to 100 searches a day, so my rankings do not meet so heavy competition and I do not have to add backlinks so often by the article marketing.
3.This Time I Used A Scheduled Article Distribution.
The marketing of online business ideas needs two things, I must be regular and I must follow the business plan. Actually these two keep the machine going for some weeks even if you do not update your site.
A wonderful way is to use the scheduling feature of the article distribution service. This requires a little bit work in advance but gives a good result, because by this service I could distribute my articles with the intervals I wanted.
4.There Was No Holiday Break In The Traffic.
Many small business owners tell that they cannot keep the holiday, because their business will stop totally. I had not this problem, the traffic to my online business ideas site was on a very good level during the whole holiday. This is really a good help and decreases the stress.
There is a saying that the internet never sleeps. Now I can add one thing to this saying. When you use article and blog marketing, you can get a decent income from your online business ideas when you are on a holiday. And this income comes totally for free, without any extra work.

How much time do you put into your 9 to 5 job to make a living? More than likely, you work many more hours than the standard forty hours per week. Most people that work in a standard 9 to 5 job end up working a lot because they find it a necessity. Particularly today, money is very tight and you feel you must work more than you would like. The good news is that there is another way to earn income without working more hours than necessary. One very popular option is called a passive income business.
The term passive income business requires some explanation. Have you ever heard of a passive income business, and do you know what it means? Business smart people probably have and they have more likely benefited from a passive income business. However, even if you have never heard of a passive business, you can still learn what it is and how to take advantage of it.
Earning income through a passive income business is a way to earn money while you are not physically working. These are businesses that work for you around the clock. They are definitely growing in popularity as people try to look for ways to live a more flexible lifestyle. Some common questions about passive income businesses are as follows.
First, what is a passive income business? A passive income business is one in which the business itself works around the clock to earn you money. They vary in size, ranging from small to quite large. The idea general idea behind these businesses is to find what kind of business works for you and work it to your favor.
A second common question is, What are examples of passive income businesses?. One example would be that of running a rental property business. You are earning money all the time, and while you will have to put in some amount of work, you are earning a profit. Websites that have a store front would be another example. People can visit your website at any time and buy your goods. You are earning money while you are doing other things.
Another very common type of passive income business is that of network marketing. In network marketing, you sell either a product to people, or attract others of like mind who want to work with you in your business. Network Marketing is very popular because of the extremely low start-up costs, often only a few hundred dollars for legitimate ones, and it gives you the ability to earn income passively.
A third question people ask is whether there are different types of these businesses? Yes, there are generally two different types of passive income businesses. One is a residual income and the other is a leveraged income. A third type, the active leveraged income is another example of a passive business that is similar to a passive business.
What is the difference between residual and passive income you might ask? A residual income is a business that allows you to make money off the profits while doing work only once. For example, if you run a pizza place and hire a store manager to handle the day-to-day responsibilities, you are still making money, but are not working at that business on a regular basis. A leveraged income business allows you to make money while others do the work for you. One example would be a contactor or supervisor that hands the work to employees. That supervisor can get much more done thru his employees then he could physically do himself. Network Marketing is a great example of both a residual and passive income business.
A passive income business is an excellent way to both make money and leverage your time and money to allow you better flexibility. More and more people are looking for different ways to earn a living which allows greater flexibility in their lifestyle.

Pay Per Click programs are pretty straightforward systems. They allow you to grab a position in ads that you place on search engines by deciding how much you’re willing to pay per visitor. Pay per click marketing is by far the best direct marketing strategy invented. By really jumping into Pay Per Click marketing, your internet marketing dreams could be far closer than you would ever imagine.
With pay per click you dont need to worry about fixing up your keywords, or double and triple checking each link. All you have to do is figure out how much each click is worth to you and then buy that ranking on the search engine. This means that you only pay for people who will actually click on your ad to visit your site. The great stuff doesnt end here, though, the best part is that it is incredibly inexpensive to test the value of a market by running a quick, small campaign.
The basics of pay per click marketing:
1. Create the ad:
Put in your title, the headline, the keywords and the description as you would want them to appear in the search results. Develop the ad so that it really catches the eye, allowing you to bring far mor visitors to the site.
2. Get your keywords right:
This is really important, really think hard about what keywords will bring people to your site, use available keyword tools to find out what people are searching for.
3. Figure out your pricing point:
Crunch the numbers and figure out how much youre willing to pay per click, some keywords will allow you to get clicks for almost a pittance.
4. Cross your fingers:
Your bids will be placed up against other bidders for the same keyword. Youll all compete and the results will be that your keywords will be in order with the others, depending on how much they wanted to pay per click.
Its really that simple! However, you really need to make sure you dont go overboard with how high you rank so that you start cutting into how much youre making. Theres really no point in being the top ranking hit if youre not making any money. The best way to make the decision is to figure out the average number of visitors that you get sales from and the total profit per sale.
Knowing your visitor to sale ratio is one of the most important things youll ever need for internet marketing.
However, you need to make sure you keep that ratio as high as possible, the best way to do this is to bid on relevant keywords. Relevance is key! If youre getting people coming to your site (and youre paying for them) who arent interested in what youre selling then that is just money down the drain.
Using Pay Per Click Marketing is substantially faster than submitting to article directories or search engines. You also need to make sure to factor in how much youre willing to offer when bidding for keywords, and the titles and descriptions that youre using in the ads.
As above, titles and descriptions really are the most important factor when it comes to really taking advantage of Pay Per Click Marketing. Your visitor needs to know that your site is the site that theyre looking for.
Make sure your title contains the keywords and make sure that your ads are catchy as well as informative so that you rake in the visitors. Remember, if you have your visitors to sale ratio balanced, then the more clicks you get, the more profit you make!
Pay Per Click marketing is the fastest way on the internet to drive serious traffic to your site.

Passive income programs are so incredibly successful nowadays that more and more people are quitting their full time jobs to run them. This is something that you can do too, if you only knew how huge a profit you can make from working at home and running your own online business.
For the past decade, nearly, people have been joining passive income programs. These programs have allowed them to really maximize their own incomes by starting a business that has expanded beyond belief.
The greatest passive income program is still by far, the affiliate product system. By keeping a cool head and using a tried and tested marketing strategy, youll be able to take all the effort out of creating and shipping the product, and just make money from selling.
Think for a second, just by creating and putting up your own website, youd be able to earn income that youd have never thought possible. But how?
Weve got some proven steps that if you implement will help you really push your profits through the roof.
Promoting products separately
You cant inundate people with links to hundreds of products on one page. People just cant handle that much information. If youre linking them to hundreds and hundreds of products, theyll be oversaturated and oversaturated people arent customers. They wont have any idea about what youre trying to sell them! Itd take an incredible amount of effort for them to even figure out what the product that youre selling is!
The best strategy for this is using landing or capture pages. Use these pages to really seize the lead and get them hooked on your product. Get your titles and copy working well, make it really punchy and theyll come to you in droves. Tease them with information about the product and theyll be curious enough to want to click that affiliate link.
To really give this some extra oomph, produce some good quality articles that will really drag them in. In the articles embed your links. If the article really draws them in, theyll keep clicking on the link, to find out more about you.
However, you do need to bear in mind that visitors are sometimes not that patient to read through a massive wall of text. You need to take those few seconds to really grab their attention and keep them on your site.
Banners and flashing ads are nowhere near as effective as they used to be. Really avoid these because they can be serious lead-killers.
Testimonials, Testimonials, Testimonials
If youre running an affiliate operation and youre not doing this then stop what youre doing right now and put them into your site! Testimonials are the most powerful tool you have in your arsenal. Testimonials from satisfied customers can really help you generate some serious commissions.
Again, endorsements are another key strategy, they dont talk about the features, all they do is talk about the benefits of your product for the customers. Youre not stopped from saying anything, so see what you can write to really grab your customers.
Give them a quick and dirty outline of what your product offers and how it will make their lives easier. If youre really effective at this strategy youll get people buying almost instantly without even thinking about the purchase for that long!
If youre writing honest copy and youre being straightforward, youre going to see an increase in sales. People arent interested in the technical specs or details of your products, they just want to see how its used and how it will help them. If it seems too far out or too abstract they wont get hooked in and youll have to kiss your commission goodbye. Its really far too easy for them to tell if you honestly believe in what youre endorsing.
These two simple steps are the gateway to earning serious income through passive income programs. Do your research, keep a level head and pick the passive income program you know will work for you. The benefits of these systems are just too incredible not to.

I have been asked many times - Kozan you have achieved some success, what are some network marketing home business hints and tips that you can give me to help me to get into a network marketing home business successfully. Well here is the article, with the answers, and as you read every word of this article, you will find some great gems of advice.
One of the biggest network marketing home business hints that I can give you is those that will stop you from doing the major errors that get so many people to fail. I am sure you know the process of riding a bike. First you learn, and then you apply, and learn along the way. So the purpose of this article is to let you know about any stones and pebbles on the road.
#1 Network Marketing Home Business Hints - Warning Of Get Rich Quick
The first biggest stumbling block is not on your way to the millions, but on the first step you take. Many network marketing business opportunities exist. Some of these opportunities will market themselves as get rich quick schemes. Though none will tell you directly it is a get rich quick opportunity, you can tell it is, when it says make 6 figures in few months, etc.
Business, whether it is a home based business opportunity, MLM or a McDonald’s franchise, needs time to make it work. There is no instant success. To make 6 figures, you will need to put in a 7 figure effort. But, no one tells you this. Just remember for the big bucks, you will need to do more than what you would do in a 9-5 daily grind job.
#2 Network Marketing Home Business Hints - Do What You Love
The biggest network marketing home business hints that I can give you, is to do what you love. Many stars, celebrities, and top achievers achieve great success because they do what they love. It may seem as though it is another way, but look into it. Whoever does what they love to do, naturally gravitate to the top of their field.
#3 Network Marketing Home Business Hints - It Takes Time
Remember a goal you have. This is important. Whenever you are going into an endeavor, remember why you are getting into it. The next home business hint is that of time. We all want to achieve something within a certain time frame, but often it will take longer. Focus on taking the steps. As long as you take the steps, success is assured.
#4 Network Marketing Home Business Hints - Persistence Is The Key
Humanity in the main are good starters, but bad finishers. The key to success is taking a course of action and sticking with it. Make the decision, and once it is made, make the journey. These are essential keys. Success only happens with persistence.

If you’ve ever heard of Network Marketing, you’ve probably heard it said that it is essentially a people’s business. Some have also labelled it a people’s franchise because of the similarities between the business models of network marketing and franchising. Advocates of the industry name it as the ultimate people’s business and say there is nothing quite like it.
Of course people that are in network marketing will immediately respond positively to this whereas those that are not familiar with the industry, or have had some bad experiences might be strongly opposed to this idea. One of the unique characteristics of this type of business is that every individual distributor is in business for themselves but never by themselves. They will always be part of a larger organization and the compensation models are designed in such a way that every person can count on some form of support from their upline.
It is no secret that fortunes can be made in this type of business and many have done just that. Of course this is not the majority of network marketers, but every individual distributor does have the same chances. Success or failure in network marketing is not dictated by politics, race, age, background or gender, but always by results. In that respect it is probably also the fairest business model in the world.
For many people however the true value of their home based business is not directly in the financial return. The lessons a person can learn while building his or her own network marketing business are truly priceless. Many people are totally transformed through the personal growth they experience as a direct result of their challenges in their MLM businesses. It forced them to get out of their comfort zones, grow, and in many cases become a better person.
So what is so unique about network marketing in this respect? Doesn’t every entrepreneur have to deal with challenges? The answer of course is: Yes, they do. And they also experience personal growth as a result from this. However there is a significant difference.
Most entrepreneurs are self made and many of them learned their trade largely outside of formal education. Either they were taught by a family member, a mentor or perhaps they learned everything the hard way: by trial and error. Very rarely will you find an entrepreneur that has an extensive library of books and tapes on personal development.
Most businesspeople don’t attend seminars and motivational trainings. They think it’s all a bunch of hype. While in some cases this can be true, there are many trainings and seminars that teach the principles of success better than any textbook found in business schools.
One of the great things about network marketing is that this type of education is built into the training systems of all good companies. There is no business on the face of the earth that places such a strong and direct emphasis on the importance of personal development as the network marketing industry.
Many companies might argue that they spend a great deal of their budget on education; training employees and as such assisting them in personal development but in most cases what they are actually talking about is personnel development. Although the words are almost identical, their meanings are vastly different.
Network marketing is all about building people. It is probably the best school on the planet if you want to learn about what it takes to be successful in life and you don’t need rich parents or some kind of scholarship to enroll.

One of the reasons why I believe MLM gets a bad name and is accused of hype - is that MLM or network marketing is promoted to the wrong people about 80% of the time. It’s promoted as a part-time work at home job to people who really just want a steady pay and flexible hours.
1) Network marketing is not a job. It is a business system for entrepreneurs who want to have their businesses at home instead of another location, like an office. The vast majority of networkers still promote MLM as “You can make thousands of dollars in just a few hours a week”! You can do that…just not right away. Depending on your company, your experience, budget, and business system that could take 90 days or 9 months. People who want at-home jobs expect to be paid a set amount of money every week. It’s call a paycheck, not an override.
2) A home business takes heart, energy, perservence and a degree of risk. In a business, you are responsible for your success, no one else. A work at home job takes only time and energy. People wanting at-home jobs are not prepared for the responsibility of a business because it’s not what they want. All the motivational tapes and contests will not matter if they don’t want it in the first place.
3) Why doesn’t your new distributor want to make a prospect list? Probably because a home job doesn’t require him/her to create his/her own work by creating a client base. Entrepreneurs intuitively understand the need for prospecting. Home-based employees do not. They will however, gladly help you take care of YOUR prospects.
4) Is your new distributor who is turned off by talk of goal-boards, dreams, or vision-casting? A job doesn’t require that kind of mental or emotional energy. There is no “big picture” or the “whole story” in a job. If you marketed your opportunity in terms of a job, you will have distributors that won’t come to meetings, listen to conference calls or do any of the training. Why? Because they want a job, not a business!
5) A home-job is defined. Even with “action plans” or “success blueprints” home-businesses are open-ended by nature. You cannot guarantee how many appointments you will set, how many orders you will get that day and so on. You can only guarantee your activity level, not the result of each indvidual action.
If you want distributors, market to entrepreneurs. Do not hide your opportunity under “help wanted” or work-at-home ads. As you are sorting through people, you are looking for entrepreneurs. If you want to increase retention in your network marketing business, market to those people who are the most likely to stay in the first place.

The Plugin Profit Site has enrolled thousands of members in it’s 4 year existence. Many of those have come and gone never to make any money. As is true with any affiliate program on the internet today you can get started for little or no money. This attracts people all over the world who say they want to make money and when they realize how much work it is going to take they quit.
For people who stick with it the rewards of working at home for yourself with your own internet business are many. One of the most successful PIPS affiliates of all time is Jeff Casmer. Let’s look at why he is successful when so many other people quit.
1. From day 1 he has put his emphasis on helping other people. One of the most popular programs in the PIPS program is called SFI. Jeff consistently runs a co-op advertising program to help people enroll new SFI affiliates into their group whether he directly benefits from this or not. You are able to buy shares in his co-op for a reasonable price. The good thing for you is he does all of the advertising for you. You are able to draw on his several years of experience to build your business without having to come up with a large sum of money to run your own advertising program.
The other thing Jeff does is he takes the time to participate in he Plugin Profit Site discussion forum where he shares what he is doing to build a successful online business with the PIPS Program.
This attention to helping other people is one of the basic fundamentals of affiliate and network marketing. You can not be successful without helping others be successful and he does that everyday.
2. Another big key to Jeff’s success with the Plugin Profit Site is he has become a student of internet marketing. Why did you become a network marketer? Most people immediately respond, ‘for the money!’ However, this is not the real reason.
No one subjects them to the hard work of building a business just for little pieces of paper with the faces of dead presidents. The truth is you work in order to obtain what those little pieces of paper can bring you.
The first thing you need to do is to find the reason WHY you are a network marketer. Is it the freedom to choose whatever you want to do whenever you want to do it? Maybe you are looking for a different lifestyle. If there is one thing that is critical to your network marketing success, this is it. If you don’t have a reason, there is no motivation to succeed.
A network marketing business is a teaching and coaching business. If you don’t like interaction with other people, a network marketing business probably is not for you. There’s a concept that most network marketers just can’t seem to get a handle on. You do not sponsor ‘reps,’ you sponsor ‘people!’
If you have to find a reason why you are building your business, then doesn’t it stand to reason that other people will have to do the same thing? If that’s the case, then why is it that network marketers continually focus on how much money your prospect can earn?
There’s no way you are going to convince ‘Joe Sixpack,’ to get out of his Lazyboy recliner unless you find out what his motivation is. Most network marketers literally pound in the amount of money Joe can earn. They bombard him with message after message about how ‘Successful Sam’ has just purchased his 10th Porsche, refurnished his 25,000 square foot cottage and promise Joe that he can do the same!
Just how realistic is this approach? Joe isn’t stupid. He works long, hard hours at his job in order to provide for his family and truly believes that the best thing he can hope for is saving enough money by summer to pay for a camping trip. Then here you come, promising Joe that he can have everything that Sam has and he can have it if he will just sign that piece of paper making you his sponsor!
You will probably sponsor a few people that way, but if you are in business for the long haul you need to change your approach and do it fast.
The proper approach is so simple, but in your rush to sponsor another ‘rep’ instead of helping another person, all too often you talk yourself into and straight out of sponsoring the Joes of the world.
God gave you two ears and one mouth and he did it for a reason. We are supposed to ‘listen’ twice as much as we ’speak.’
Instead of pouncing on Joe with the latest and greatest network marketing program of all time, find out what Joe wants and needs. Ask him questions, lots of questions. In fact, in your first meeting with Joe, don’t even mention your business! Yes, that’s what I said. Don’t even bring it up. Remove yourself from the super duper network marketing persona and spend time making a new friend.
Follow these recommendations and you are set to grow your business exponentially.

So many people want to start a home based business these days. One might think it is a brand-new trend.
Wrong. Working from home used to be the normal occupation for the majority of people more than 100 years ago. Only when industrialization began people started to leave their homes and started to work in factories. Later the trend shifted and today most people work in offices.
Home based businesses did not start with the rise of the Internet. We only see a revival like anything that has been neglected for a while.
Not so long ago it was normal for people to work from home on either their own farm, in their own store or their own garage.
Chances are your grandma or at least your great-grandma knows more about home based businesses that you do.
So what do our grandmas tell us when we ask them what really matters when working from home. What can we learn from them?
Grandma said she always separated money for the business and the money for the family. You should do no different today. She may have had different purses to store the money. What you should do is having a separate bank account for your business and never use it for your private expenses.
Grandma said she wrote down all the expenses and all the sales in a little book to always know how the business went. This is why it is called bookkeeping. You keep a book and record all your financial transaction in there. Today you may have a spreadsheet on your computer but what it comes down to is that you still need to keep a record of all your financial activity when doing business.
Grandma said she always chatted with customers. They would stay in her store for a long time and talk about the neighbours, the weather and their kids. Today this is called customer relationship management. You have to build a relationship with your customer. In today’s times when selling over the Internet the customer is somebody you hardly know. But you always have to build a relationship with him or her. Take your time to know your customers and speak to them - be it on the phone or by mail. Listen to their needs and respond to their questions.
Grandma said she always had her kids around her and they were watching her work and learning what a business meant for the family. I must say I had never considered that before, but it is true. Imagine in today’s world when you work in an office your kids never see you working. They do not make that connection between you leaving home in the morning and their stereo or TV - items paid with the money you bring home. When you work at home your kids see you working and they will value your work much more because it is what pays the bills.
Believe me. Once you start thinking about it you realize there are many things that are not really that new at all and that we can learn from past generations. Working from home is not new. In fact it is the oldest and most natural form of occupation that exists and there is plenty knowledge out there to teach you how to succeed. Sometimes you just have to find it.

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) home based businesses have very little to do with the selling of products. The very reason they are called MLMs is that those levels are what makes all the difference. The difficulty with MLM schemes and home based businesses is the building of as big of a downline as possible. Downline members are basically people who you refer to become part of the MLM sales team below you. These members then have to do the same, with more members in their downline, and each member in the downline at that level have to keep doing this before profits really begin to look like profits.
One way to find prospective downline members (or recruits) is lead generation. This is not as simple as it sounds and needs some amount of planning. Naturally, it is not going to be as easy as people seeing the advertisements about your home based businesses, its products and getting excited enough to sign up instantly. There are millions of MLM home based businesses out there with the same products and payouts. Most people considering joining an MLM scheme will have questions. At the very least, you should be able to answer all of these questions without repeatedly emailing backlinks to a FAQ page. To that end, you must familiarize yourself as much as possible with the MLM distributor, the products, and the compensation plan.
You have to have a comfort level with the knowledge about your own home based business so that when you talk to people it shows through. You might generate a ton of leads but if your answer is not satisfactory, chances are you will not convert most of those leads. Some sort of appointment calendar or planner should also be kept diligently so that follow-ups are not missed. It can take several callbacks before people will be willing to invest in your MLM home based business. You are basically selling, and selling can take convincing many times over.
So once, you know everything about your MLM home based business and you have the few basic sales tools in place it is time to start generating leads. To begin with, make a list of everyone you know, friends, acquaintances, relatives, anyone with a computer and an internet connection that could be a prospect. Start with these people. If you make mistakes in your sales pitch, they will forgive you and since their answers will be more candid, this will make good practice for later on. One important thing to do upon discovering that someone is not interested in your MLM business is to ask him or her for a few names of people who might be. This way you can build a healthy network of contacts. Sometimes they may hesitate to give you the names, so just ask politely for only the names of the people they feel they can give you without any trouble.
Start collecting business cards, email addresses, and phone numbers. This is for the purpose of making cold calls because you never really know who might be interested. Cold calling is one of the most difficult things to do for any fresh salesperson. It might be uncomfortable in the beginning but keep at it. All it needs is confidence. There is no trick to it. Then there are the MLM trade journals, another good lead generation source for home based businesses. People considering MLMs are already reading these journals. Sometimes it is a nice touch to include a press release, along with your advertisement. Naturally, the first rule of advertising is that your ad should be unlike all the others in order to get attention.
Most affiliate programs will have a hidden cost for those who don’t know better. That is the purchasing of MLM leads. The trouble is there are probably dozens of people out there with the same leads and the competition gets tougher. A lot of companies will have a list of emails and phone numbers for people who in the past might have shown interest in MLM opportunities. Purchasing leads for MLM home based businesses is finally a matter of how good you are at converting those leads.
There are a lot of people out there and a lot of websites that are in the business of nothing but selling leads. Therefore, before buying leads for a MLM home based business make sure that the leads are relevant and that a genuine company of good repute is providing them. A list of emails and names can be sold many times over, make sure you are getting fresh leads only. Do some background research on the company selling leads. The Do Not Call registry has phone numbers that you should not buy. Checking for those numbers is up to you. The company selling you the numbers is not required to do this.

If you’re scared of public speaking, cold calling, or talking to strangers, then read on.
Diffusing live explosives can produce some enormous fears. But fear is not welcome while working on anything that blows up. It distracts one terribly. When I was in the U.S. Navy Underwater Bomb Squad I was fortunate to have a Master Blaster by the name of Master Chief Hufty teach me how to overcome fear.
Little did I know the number of times I would recall this lesson, nor did he realize he helped me become a better public speaker and an MLM success story. I would like to share this valuable lesson of how to overcome fear with you.
Master Chief Hufty was probably the smallest physical man I ever met. He stood about 4′3 and weighed around 95 pounds. Yet he is the largest man I’ve ever met. In the military when one achieves something praiseworthy he/she receives “medals” to be worn at formal events. In non-formal situations he/she substitutes ribbons for metals.
The ribbons go above the left shirt pocket and each ribbon is approximately one-half inch high and one inch long. Master Chief Hufty had so many rows of ribbons they actually went over his shoulder and started down his back. He was the most decorated soldier I’d ever seen! To be educated by him was a true honor.
One afternoon we were working on a bomb and I freaked out…I’d rather not detail that portion of the story. But, Master Chief Hufty disassembled fear for me. He broke it down into digestible and visible parts so that I could “see” it and define each section and thus, control it.
Since fear is a major problem for many MLM distributors, your MLM training needs to include how to overcome fear.
When we (you and me) encounter unpleasant or alarming conditions our mind becomes a stage of conflicting voices. Some would define this as the Fight or Flight theory. Parts of us want to fight whatever we fear, and other parts of us want to run (flight) from what we fear.
Master Chief Hufty called it “mind chatter.” Fear, especially sudden fear can cause the best in us to freeze. What is “freeze?” Freeze is stuck between fight and flight. If you neither fight nor flight you’re wasting your only asset - TIME.
To gain control of my thoughts again, Master Chief Hufty told me to repeat this sentence over and over, “First I do this, and then I do this, and then I do this.” By repeating this, I could slowly walk myself out of the “mind lock” by directing 100% of my attention to what I needed to do next.
Worst-case scenario for a bomb squad technician is obviously death. Dwelling on harmful outcomes only leads to that reality. Yikes!
Now let’s take a look at the fear of public speaking and how this relates to your MLM business. As a network marketer this could take the form of conference calls or MLM training and opportunity meetings. The fear is that you will look or sound stupid. What are the chances of delivering an intelligent presentation while mentally forecasting stupidity? Very low.
So what is the solution to fear of public speaking?
1. Be prepared. Know what you’re going to say. Never “wing-it.” Before diffusing my first live bomb, I spent copious hours studying the anatomy of explosives. I furthered the learning process by role playing for days with dummy bombs. In our platoon we lived by the phrase, “The more you bleed in training the less you bleed in combat.”
Bravery and success come from confidence in one’s own ability, not from placing oneself at risk. The same principle applies to MLM prospecting and public speaking. Study your materials, prepare your notes, role play what you will say into a tape recorder. When you stand up in front of people just think - “First I’ll say this, then I’ll say this.”
2. Don’t focus your attention on you. Focus your attention on your audience. If you’re scared, you’re thinking of you instead of your audience. Put 100% of your attention on your audience and what they most need to hear from you. Rarely does a speaker sound “stupid” if they’re focused on helping their audience.
You must earn the right to being a great public speaker. There are no natural public speakers. It takes practice, persistence and more practice to truly master the art of public speaking. If you will take the time to think through each step and learn how to bypass the mind chatter, you can improve your abilities to present a great conference call, conduct an electrifying MLM training seminar or host a successful opportunity meeting.

Let’s start out with defining the word booby trap: a situation that catches one off guard; a pitfall; a hidden hazard.
The reason I chose “booby trap” is because the subjects I’m going to explain to you can in fact catch you off guard and be a hazard if you’re not knowledgeable about their existence.
There are three phases that one goes through as they advance (if they do) in their MLM business - each can be a booby trap to the individual.
Introverting
The first phase is what I call Introverting. Introverting is defined as: to direct your mind inward and examine or dwell on personal thoughts, feelings, and motives. (Encarta Dictionary)
So how can we use this definition in an MLM business? Normally introversion occurs in the very beginning of one’s career in network marketing. The indicators of someone introverting are when one is greatly concerned with what he or she LOOKS or SOUNDS like to others. When they’re studying or practicing scripts they’re so focused on the actual words that they don’t communicate the meaning or concept to the prospect. What they say sounds stupid - like they’re scared or uncomfortable. Their voice shakes and they sound very unsure of themselves - which communicates, “I don’t believe in what I’m doing” to the prospect.
See they’re not focused on the prospect - they’re focused on SAYING the right thing. Therefore the concept of what they’re saying doesn’t REACH the prospect.
So if you’re a new person and you are constantly thinking about what other people think about you - you must get past it. Here’s how to get past it:
1) Drill - which means repeat something over and over, what you’re going to say BEFORE you get in front of a live person.
2) Focus all your attention on the prospect.
3) Get into such a high activity that you don’t have time to focus on your fears.
When you confront what you fear enough times, you fear it no more. As you CONTINUE to do this, you will start focusing on DOING IT instead of worrying whether you CAN do it or not. Then something bizarre will happen. You’ll sponsor someone in your MLM business. And on that day you’ll realize you really CAN do it.
MLM distributors who do not get out of introversion end up trapped by it and either quit or don’t succeed. They are also the ones who say, “The M.L.M business just isn’t for me.” Or they will claim the WHOLE industry doesn’t work.
Every time I see or hear this I think, “Wow, should I send my bonus check back to the company - EVERY MONTH - because somebody says the industry doesn’t work?” Of course it works. But the first barrier you have to get past is what other people think of you.
Okay, so for this discussion, pretend that you actually get past yourself (introversion) and into activity. You start bringing people into your MLM business and you feel wonderful. You get real confident and it almost seems effortless to bring people into the business.
The people that are still in introversion are almost mesmerized by your abilities and want to know your “MLM success secret.” When they hear the secret they’re shocked that it’s the same old stuff. There is no secret. The primary difference is one is out-of-introversion and DOING IT and the other is still worried about what people might think and are “TRYING” to do it right.
Doing It All
The next trap I’ve called DOING IT ALL. The success of being able to sponsor people into your MLM business eventually becomes a booby trap as well - and it is very well concealed. The person has sponsored several people and has been praised so much by his or her peers for the ability to sponsor people that they identify themselves as “the person who can sponsor a lot of people.” Meaning their identity gets stuck to that one activity.
I’ve seen people sponsor 30, 50, 100 people and just keep on doing it. Waiting for someone to be as effective as they are. Occasionally one might sponsor someone who has gotten past introversion in another field, but normally not. The symptoms of DOING IT ALL are statements like:
- “None of my people are doing anything!”
- “How do I motivate my downline?”
- “I keep sponsoring duds.”
If this is you - you’ve watched very valuable, very capable people fall through the cracks. You’re adding people as fast as they’re dropping off the other end.
You are delusional to think you’re going to find someone who will get past introversion without your help! Stop it. You’re doing the industry a disservice because it generates a higher failure rate in the MLM industry. You’re doing yourself a disservice because it can be very disheartening to sponsor all these people thinking you’re going to be making a ton of money on them only to see them quit within a month or two.
You must train the people you sponsor. If you’re unwilling to make a leader out of the person you’re sponsoring - don’t sponsor them! It takes great patience to train people in network marketing. You have to sit through the pain of listening to them present - WARNING - don’t do this on an empty stomach. You want so badly to save them - you can’t…if you ever want to make a lot of money in MLM. Doing it for them only handicaps them. You cannot do it for them - you must train, train, train, and when you think they will never get it - you train some more.
They will get it when YOU get enough patience. By the way, don’t stop your training until you see that your distributors can properly train THEIR distributors. If you don’t do this step your MLM business will not move past the 3rd level. You won’t build a Christmas tree (better than saying pyramid :)…you’ll build a diamond. All your volume will be up in your first 2-3 levels.
Velvet Rut
The final trap is what I call the VELVET RUT. You’re making 3-7 thousand dollars a month and the thought of going back to recruiting again is daunting. The reason I call it the velvet rut is because you’re making just enough money to keep you in the game - so it’s kind of comfortable, but because you’re not making the money you’ve dreamed of it’s still a rut - therefore a trap. Go back to work and sponsor 3 or 4 more and build them into leaders. GET YOUR DREAM.

If you are going to be successful in MLM or in any selling situation, then building rapport is essential. Building rapport with prospects is not something you are born with, but rather is a learned skill.
There are five major things that you need to focus on to build rapport.
The first essential skill is body language. You must learn to read body language. You can learn body language by checking out library books on the topic or by surfing the Internet for tips. You can also learn body language by simply paying attention when other people are around. Here are a few basics: eye contact is a must, avoidance can mean falsehood or mistrust with others. Keep arms in un-closed position, welcoming communication. Ditto with legs (don’t sit with arms and legs crossed as it can mean you are closed to the other person). Maintain a nice, friendly smile (not tight lips). And don’t get in the other person’s space or face. Keep at a comfortable distance.
The next thing you should do is to get in a casual mode.
Relate in a comfortable manner with the other person. For instance, don’t wear stiff new clothing and shoes that aren’t broken in and hurt your feet. This can affect your own comfort, making you less at ease, regardless of who your prospect is. You want to be able to talk, laugh and enjoy the other person’s company while you’re building a relationship. No one wants to focus on whether they are having a bad hair day!
The third skill for rapport building is using some finesse. You must learn how to handle conversations and activities in a cordial and friendly manner using tact. For example, if your prospect is lewd or otherwise obnoxious (maybe drunk at an after dinner event), learn how to skillfully acknowledge him or her briefly, then turn your focus in a productive direction to seek out communication with another prospect, without hurting the other person’s feelings, if possible. Sometimes etiquette books can help with this. Most often, though, look to the older and more experienced attendees in the room and follow their lead.
The next essental rapport building skill is handling conflict. You must learn how to handle difficult situations without falling apart at the seams.
Finally, you need to learn cooperation. Cooperating with and supporting one another should be a common goal with prospects. You’ll both be seeking referrals down the road and want to be able to stick together and support each other in a professional, businesslike manner.
As the saying goes, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” Neither is rapport. Establishing and building relationships is a process. Mistakes will be made. By learning to get through rough spots, offering and accepting apologies and working things out, you’ll reap rapport.

Need leads for your multi-level-marketing business (MLM)? Try some of these lead generation tips.
Create a voicemail script that invites people to your website to get a free information packet and gift when they sign up online. And include this phone number on your marketing materials and other communications. Update it regularly with seasonal and other promotions. Have fun!
Join lead exchange groups like Business Exchange International and trade your business card with others.
Sell your product on a barter. Barter exchanges work on a credit system. You move some product, and possibly get referrals and in exchange you get credits that you can use for advertising, voice mail, internet and many other services.
Host or participate in events. Check into ad swaps, setting up a leads generating fish bowl drawing, teaching a workshop, being a speaker (with handouts and business cards for the audience) and other opportunities. Even if the event is not yours, you could check into running one of your own to coincide with it either beforehand, during a lunch or dinner break, or afterwards and then package tickets for both events together.
Fundraisers are great opportunities for public awareness, to give back to the community and to generate leads. Donate a product or service to a non-profit and host a drawing that gives it away as a prize. Then before the event, announce this news to both online and offline media, and include your contact information with website.
Check out how promotional advertising specialties can help you generate leads and order some items that are within your budget: pens and pencils with your logo and URL, ball caps, notepads, magnets, calendars and more.
Create your own audio and video clips with Camtasia and Microsoft PowerPoint slides to teach others about your products and services. Before people can view and listen to them, have them sign up and give you their contact information for follow up.
Test classifieds ads in those inexpensive Suburban Newspapers and penny newspapers like the Thrifty Nickel. Offer your free audio or video clips, ebook, report or guide in exchange for their contact info for follow up.
Submit articles and press releases regularly to online article databases, PRWeb.com and offline media.
Hire sales and marketing help. Head to online bidding sites like Elance.com or offline companies like Adecco (at Adecco.com).
Outsource some work so you’re not doing it all. Get help with publicity, article writing, website development, database management, customer service, help desk and more. Place a small Help Wanted ad in your local newspaper, check online for outsourcing companies and get recommendations form fellow business people.
Put some tips into practice. And go get some more leads!

You don’t need big bucks to get big results with cheap advertising methods. In fact, some of the best methods are free. Let’s take a look at some popular inexpensive techniques and ideas.
ADVERTISING
You can’t get much cheaper than with free email accounts! Grab yours from hotmail.com, yahoo.com or gmail from Google.com. Or search “free email accounts.” Then place an ad in your signature file.
Set up an affordable website. Although free web hosting comes with ads, plenty of hosting companies offer it cheap to remove the banners. Set up an online portfolio and leads generating form to capture leads, then add this URL to all your marketing and communications.
Get a toll-free phone number and list it on all of your marketing materials and communications.
Joint ventures are a great way to team up and swap ads.
Set up an affiliate program and invite others to advertise for you in exchange for earning commission for each sale. If your company doesn’t have one or has their own version, test one of your own.
Check into ad cooperatives, joining up with others to promote jointly, like in your local newspapers.
Cheap classifieds can result in big sales. Search online and off for good deals. Many websites even offer free ads.
Use ad exchanges like Traffic Swarm where your website is shown in exchange for other websites being shown. Most of the people on these exchanges are involved with home based businesses and could be your perfect prospect.
Cold calling doesn’t cost much but long distance, and that can be found cheap nowadays. Many phone companies even offer unlimited flat rate long distance.
You could advertise on your vehicle with an inexpensive sign or vanity plate.
Your local charity or community club like Lions Club and Jaycess are always looking for help. Get involved with Toastmasters to improve your speaking skills. Volunteer to speak at events. These clubs are always on the lookout for good speakers.
Sign up to teach a course at online teaching sites and at local centers.
Sponsor a contest or fundraiser
Write and submit articles regularly to online directories about your products, services and industry. Submit them to offline media, too.
Set up a blog and keep a daily journal going online.
Get press releases out monthly via PRWeb.com and offline to targeted media that cover your industry.
Head to forums and chat rooms in your niche. Sign up for an account, learn their rules and regulations and gradually join the community.
Advertise through free give-aways like: ebooks, reports, manuals, software, trial memberships and downloadable graphics. Make sure your information is on them and even allow others to turn around and give these away for viral marketing.
Sell on eBay: an ebook or report or guide about your products or services. This is a cheap way to generate traffic to your site listed on your About Me page and listed in your sale items.

As a website owner, what is the one essential ingredient that you will need for success? Traffic! One of the quickest, easiest, and cheapest ways to generate website traffic is by using a traffic exchange.
Traffic exchanges work on a barter system. Although the specifics vary, generally you surf for credits. Normally, you have to spend 20 seconds at each site that you visit. In exchange for this, the exchange company will post your ad for others to see. Your credits will normally come on a 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 basis, meaning that you need to surf four sites for every one that they will show. Many exchanges will also offer bonuses for referring friends, often several layers deep and those bonuses can add up quickly.
Most traffic exchanges have categories available where you can post your ad. This is a very nice feature as you will get targeted prospects that might be interested in your product or service.
While many of the traffic exchanges can produce great results, often times many people do not use them correctly and fail miserably. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your traffic exchange experience.
The first thing you need to do is offer something for free. It doesn’t matter if it’s an ebook, a video or a sound clip. People are on the exchange because they have to be there, not because they want to be there. They are seeing pitch after pitch every 20 seconds and quickly put their credit card away. So, be different and be nice and send them a free gift for visiting your website.
The next thing you must do if you want to be successful is to collect your prospect’s email address. However, leave the selling for a later time. Your point of being on the exchange should be one thing and one thing only: getting subscribers.
Many people are using traffic exchanges to promote multi level marketing and affiliate programs. This can be a great way to recruit, but keep in mind that many programs will saturate quickly on the exchange. Always ditch the corporate opt in form and make your own. There are many products that will make creating your own opt in form a breeze.
Try to find a traffic exchange that allows you to run multiple ads so you can split test. Take advantage of this. Your responses will improve significantly.
The real key to making money with traffic exchages is by cross promoting the exchanges. There are several downline builders like Traffic Tornado that make downline building a breeze. Also, use the Firefox Browser and surf multiple exchanges at once. This will make it a lot easier to rack up credits in a hurry.
If you are serious about making money online, then traffic exchanges are welcome additions to your online arsenal.

Prospects are basically the foundation of any business as they are the “potential” customers to the business. So just how do YOU find good MLM prospects?
Let’s start out with a definition of the word promote which is the most important word in finding prospects for your MLM business. The word promote means: to make known.
I was recently helping a person in my downline with her MLM business, which was not growing. As I asked various questions I finally found the “nasty bug” that was stopping her network marketing business from moving forward. She didn’t want to come off as being or sounding salesy. This stopped her from promoting.
How does everyone else promote?
A politician promotes how he or she can make a whole community’s life better - so he or she is making herself known to the public by promoting and making known to as many people as possible what he or she can do for them. If you’ve noticed, politicians promote on TV, radio, signs stuck in the grass or on telephone poles along a busy street or maybe speaking at various group meetings.
A college promotes what courses it offers. It might promote on radio, might promote to high schools or through sporting events. A stockbroker promotes that he can help his or her prospect make money. A local restaurant will promote via radio, or mailing brochures or discount coupons.
The worst thing you can ever do in your MLM business career is to think, ponder, worry or even get the idea that it’s unprofessional to promote!
You really need to know and understand promotion. The only way you can have prospects, therefore customers or distributors - is to promote. The only way for you to make money in network marketing is to promote. You can write down your dreams and goals and study them every night. But you’re as effective as a billboard in the middle of the desert. No one knows you exist until you make yourself known. So if you ever find yourself where your business isn’t growing or you don’t have enough prospects, enough customers, or enough distributors - what do you do? Promote!
Why do you promote?
The reason you promote is to create desire for your product. If you don’t create a desire for your product, it’s very difficult to achieve MLM success. How would you know that someone desires your product or business? Well certainly if you sent a post card and someone called the number - that’s someone showing desire in your MLM business or product. Even if a person called and asks, “How much is this?” - it would still be someone showing desire, or at least slight interest. If you called a friend and asked them to look at something and they said, “Send it to me.” That’s showing a desire. People sometimes refer to desire as “responses,” as in, someone responded to my promotion.
Different types of promotion
So now let’s talk about different types of promotion that create desire. You could promote your MLM business in:
* The Help Wanted, the Sales & Marketing or the Business Opportunity sections of a newspaper
* Advertising section of magazines
* Direct mail, such as sending out post cards to everyone in your zip code
* Door hangers
* Email, banner ads on the internet
* Networking. I’m sure you could have guessed that I would name that one. But you would be surprised at how many people when mentioning all the ways to promote, miss that one. In fact, if you use traditional promotion with the mindset of just finding a network of people to work - you will fare far better than most who only measure their responses with how many people respond to their advertisement. You can turn one response from a promotion into thousands if you properly network.
One other place to find prospects for your MLM business is to promote to MLM leads you purchase from a lead company. The advantage of this is you’re only paying for those who’ve responded and you’re not paying for all the people who didn’t respond. If I send out 10,000 post cards and get 20 responses then I paid for 9,980 post cards that didn’t get a response.
The advantage of writing your own ads of course is being able to target your specific audience with your specific network marketing product or opportunity message. Which is VERY important and should not be underestimated.
In contrast, when you buy generic MLM leads, you’re buying general ads - perhaps people who’ve responded to wanting a home based business. The other down side to buying leads is that very often, lead companies resell their leads to more than just you - so you’ve got extra competition to deal with.
Three broad ways to promote
Now, it probably sounded like I just contradicted myself; I didn’t. I just saved you years of running in circles trying to figure the advantages and the disadvantages to generating your own leads or buying leads. This is the game. You must promote. There are three broad ways to promote.
1. Networking - which costs the least. You’re going to have costs of meals with prospects, costs of joining clubs and associations. So I have rock climbing club fees, I have mountain climbing association fees, horseback riding fees, mountain biking fees…these are like $50 to $100 dollars a year.
2. Buying leads is more expensive than networking and less expensive than generating your own…but has some advantages and disadvantages. Sometimes you get some hot leads and sometimes you swear you’re calling a graveyard.
3. Generating your own. Most expensive, but has the advantages of targeting your prospects. Here’s a list of advertisements that I’ve run to promote my own MLM business opportunity.
* Some people earn Ten thousand dollars a year. And some people earn One million in the same year. Click here to see difference.
* Need more money; NOW!
* Does it ever break your heart to leave your kids at daycare?
* Looking for a FUN business?
* Go to the golf course when it’s not crowded.
* The truth about making money. A lot of it.
* WEALTH FORMULA. Click here. (Use with banner ads)
* Wealth formula that takes a lot of effort - but retires you in 4 years.
* Extremely well paying position available to right person. Must have sales & marketing experience. Sales training a big plus.
* Immediate Need for Effective Sales Person. Unlimited earning and growth potential. Self-starter, sales writing skills and team player will be keys to success in this growing, high tech organization. Will be responsible for generating sales leads, preparing and giving presentations on company products and training sales team for (enter your business type. Example: Fitness, High Tech, or Health, etc,) development company. Great benefits. Great FUN TEAM! Fax resume to:
Be “in” business
The bottom line is you must be using at least one of these three methods to achieve MLM success. If you’re not, you’re not in business - you’re out of business. What you should be doing, if you see the big picture and want the very big income is you need to be doing all three. All the time. Ideally you start out by networking, which will create enough money to buy MLM leads, and then you’ll generate enough money from the leads you purchased to generate your own leads. My point is, as soon as you start making any money in your MLM business, reinvest it in promotion.
One other thought. Don’t measure your success by just your immediate responses. Any marketer who is of any value knows that how you measure return on promotion investment is based on the “life of the customer.” NOT immediate return. Get one leader from a MONTH or 6 MONTHS of promotion and it can pay you for the rest of your life.
People often ask me, “How much money did you make your first year in network marketing?” I tell them, “I don’t know, I’m still earning it.”

Call reluctance is a term used in sales and network marketing to mean that the salesperson or the network marketer hesitates or procrastinates making calls to prospects. So to help a person get past this we need to figure out what caused this “reluctance.”
As I commonly do, I’ll define the main word - which is reluctance. It means: unwillingness; offering resistance; opposing.
A network marketer knows he/she should make calls in order to build his/her MLM business but is unwilling to, or is resistant to, or is opposed to making the calls. So instead of making calls they bury themselves in a guilt ridden corner and mentally beat themselves up. Sound familiar?
So just what might cause a person to be unwilling to make calls?
I’ve written a list of items that “cause” a person to be unwilling, resistant or opposed to making the calls. This will be a good check list to help a person in your MLM downline find out why they’re not having success in their network marketing business. And, if you’d like a nice jolt of reality, hand this list to someone in your downline and ask them to check and make sure you do all these things.
1. Has she decided exactly what she wants to achieve with her MLM business? Ask her what it is.
2. Has she written a plan of how to achieve it? Ask her if you can see it.
3. Is she working that plan? Ask her to show you where she currently is on the plan.
4. Does she know all the “parts” that make up building her MLM business?
a. Does she have an MLM lead source? Ask her to show it to you.
b. Does she know how to get customers? Ask her to get one while you watch.
c. Does she know how to service customers? Ask her to show you how she does it.
d. Does she know how to get distributors? Ask her to show you how she gets one.
e. Does she know how to train distributors to get customers? Ask her to train one while you watch, or introduce someone to you who she has trained that can get customers. Ask that person to demonstrate getting a customer.
f. Does she know how to train distributors to get distributors? Ask her to train one while you watch, or introduce someone to you who she has trained that can get distributors. Ask that person to demonstrate how they get a distributor.
WHATEVER SHE CAN’T SHOW YOU IS THE REASON FOR CALL RELUCTANCE.
“Afraid of rejection” is garbage. Anyone who says that that is their reason, you can easily call their bluff by setting a tape recorder on a table and ask, “Invite me to come to your business meeting.” They can’t do it. Why? It’s not fear of rejection…tape recorders don’t reject you.
AFRAID OF REJECTION, OUT OF COMFORT ZONE, CALL RELUCTANCE, AND ANY OTHER FANCY PHRASE A PERSON CAN COME UP WITH IS ONLY A MASK TO COVER UP WHAT THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO DO.
I don’t care if the person has been in sales for 20 years. If they won’t do it, it’s because they don’t know how.
Fear, fear of rejection, and/or call reluctance is the same animal - not being able to predict an outcome. That’s the basis of all fear. The person just simply can’t predict what will happen if they do something. If you go bungee jumping - it’s the inability to predict the outcome that causes fear. If you defuse bombs (my past profession) - it’s the inability to predict the outcome that causes fear.
I’ve seen this surface from some very unlikely people. There was a person who had seen a fair amount of success but was not able to reap the rewards from one of her MLM business legs. The compensation plan required her to have 12 on her front line to earn on the depth of the organization.
When she first came into the MLM business she had a friend with her and her friend saw the business at the same time. Her friend built a big network marketing business under her. So she had one very large organization. But she could only earn on one level deep.
When she had 12 on her front line she could earn 6 levels deep of the whole organization. But she couldn’t get the other 11 people. Everyone in the company (not just her downline) looked up to her because she had such a large MLM business. But she couldn’t earn money on all the volume until she got those 11 people on her front line. She talked to me about it. She said she wasn’t making the calls because of “call reluctance.” I didn’t buy her excuse.
Don’t you buy your MLM downline’s excuses - run them through the check sheet above and train them on whatever they can’t do.
Don’t you buy your own excuses - get trained with proper and proven MLM training.

The day has finally come! Network marketing online has kicked the bucket! The Internet, having gotten saturated with get rich quick ads, has drowned in its own filth.
There is a word for what MLMer’s have spewed forth…the word is GARBAGE! And it’s a mess cleaning it up, often requiring spam filters, ad-ware and spy-ware removers, and pop-up blockers.
Online marketing and MLM marketing specifically worked for a while, and we put up with it for a while longer. When the Internet was new, and everything about it was a novelty, we didn’t care. We would not only read spam and the crazy claims, but actually get exited about buying from the money mongering website linked to it. It’s a bit like never having watched TV…you would probably get mesmerized even by the commercials!
The thing about television commercials is they sponsor the REAL products which are shown. MLM spam on the other hand, doesn’t support anything beyond the greed of the advertiser.
What we as network marketers can do about the problem?
If you are promoting your MLM online you can increase sales and start hauling in the extra cash! It’s easy.
Why don’t you just give people what they really want? At that point, you’re no longer seen as a seller, but as a friend, a helper and someone that can be trusted.
The best way that this can be accomplished is by answering people’s questions, as on forums, by leading groups on networking sites like Ryze and My Space, where “How To” explanations can be provided. Put forth real solutions to problems. Reveal news that is of interest to your market.
Once you start to freely provide people with information they become open to what you have to say, open to what you have to sell. Soon you will be back in business big-time.
So, summing it up, the first thing that you need is to provide reliable written content to your clients. This will jump-start your business and promote trust in both you and your business. Write articles that provide real value, make useful videos on You Tube or Google Video and make content oriented Podcasts. Make educational free reports and ebooks that provide real content.
Now, that you know the secret to actually being a trusted advisor instead of an MLM sleaze bag, you have no excuse to get out there and just do it!

Web traffic is of utmost importance for any business. No matter what business model you’re following, no matter what your goal is, be it selling a product or monetizing your web site with Adsense, you need a steady stream of targeted traffic.
With that being said, there are many ways to generate traffic; whatever product or niche you may be involved with. The key is to find the most effective yet most affordable alternatives.
Although it may be easy for big companies with deep pockets to throw cash into a pay per click campaign such as Google Adwords, for most home based businesses these costs can be daunting. Yet without targeted traffic no business can survive for long.
That’s one of the great advantages to running an internet business. The home based business owner has many low or no cost options when it comes to advertising and drawing interested individuals to their sites.
Following are five such ways that can help increase your rankings in the search engines and gain much needed exposure.
Traffic Exchanges
These are exceptional tools when used right. Although every niche may not benefit from this particular traffic method, it can be used with great success when dealing with MLM, affiliate marketing and home based business opportunities.
One of the best ways to use traffic exchanges is to create your own separate landing page for the product or opportunity you’re promoting. Always try to stand out from the crowd by using something other than what all the other affiliates are using.
Then by simply enticing other surfers with some free information such as a free ebook and using an autoresponder to capture their name and email address you can quickly build your own opt-in list of interested prospects.
Write a Newsletter
While this may seem time consuming, it really doesn’t have to be. There are hundreds of article directories floating around with articles written by experts in almost every field.
Simply use them within the guidelines prescribed by the directory and author, add a few lines from yourself as an introduction and throw in an ad and you’ve got yourself a newsletter.
Write and Submit Your Own Articles
As the previous point shows, there are many hundreds of article directories out there and literally thousands of web sites, ezines and newsletter publishers looking for new and unique content every day.
By writing your own articles and including a link back to your site you’re not only branding yourself as an expert but also creating valuable back links to your site. This is a huge factor when it comes to search engine rankings which bring the best free traffic.
Online Communities and Forums
By joining online forums you can also gain back links to your site by posting comments and using a sig file with your links in it.
Beware though that most forums frown on blatant advertising. You have to attempt to add something of worth with your posts or you may get banned.
Exchange Links
This may actually be the most difficult tactic. You must find sites that are in the same niche as yours but not necessarily in direct competition.
You also have to find sites that already have a good ranking in the search engines for this to be effective.
Always approach any site owner with grace and dignity. Be tactful and courteous. Remember, you attract more flies with honey than vinegar.
Use all five of these tactics on a regular basis and you’ll surely see a climb in traffic.

How’s your email inbox been lately? No doubt jammed packed with the latest, greatest offer promising to make you $1000s in a matter of days. Your only commitment comprises of simply signing on the dotted web page.
Sounds to good to be true, right? Well, one way to make good money online is by leveraging the efforts of others but one must be careful before jumping in with both feet.
It is important when comtemplating joining a network marketing program that two important things are in place.
Firstly, you MUST have a product that people will buy and that you could use yourself. After all if YOU can find a use for the product then chances are your prospects will be able to do so too.
Too often I have joined network marketing companies and found that the product was sub-standard or worse still, the product came a far off second to the compensation plan, setting the company up with the possibility of being labled a “pyramid scheme”.
Pyramid schemes focus on the exchange of money and recruitment - Sure enough it is important to signup others in order to grow out your team and increase your earnings but the product should not be so dubious that the company comes under the scrutiny of the law.
You can find out more about pyramid schemes at the site below:
http://www.sec.gov/answers/pyramid.htm
One program, that I became involved with recently, attracted me before I even knew I could make money from promoting it. Success University offers Self Improvement courses, which is a genre that I have always been interested in. So, making a monthly payment to improve my knowledge and earning power seemed a no brainer to me. The investment seemed small compared to what I could gain, that’s without taking into consideration the money earned through promoting the product to others.
The above formula is just one way to check out whether the product is something that you can sell to others in good conscience.
Secondly, if you want to make money from your network marketing company with the least possible effort then you must look out for a GREAT compensation plan.
This folks is a no brainer - I have been a member of one particular network marketing program and in spite of the presence of a great product AND personally recruiting hundreds or thousands of members, the monthly payout was comparatively very low. The compensation plan did not significantly reward me for my efforts and subsequently I have lost interest in continuing apace. I would much rather expend the same amount of effort for greater gains.
When perusing the compensation plan ask yourself - Can I start earning with the least amount of effort and more importantly will my income grow exponentially through the time and efforts of both myself and those on my team?
You may also want to find out how others are earning by searching the online forums. People love to boast and if the money is being earned then you’ll hear about it.
Keep in mind the couple of points above when choosing a company to put your weight behind and you won’t go too far wrong.

This MLM training bulletin is about how you as a leader can add incentives so your network marketing downline will produce more.
What I’m going to share with you here DOES NOT REPLACE what you can read in “Nine Proven Actions to Get Your Downline Producing More,” an article that discusses the importance of a well trained MLM distributor. Proven MLM training is the backbone of motivation. Nothing motivates a person more than fully knowing what to say on the phone, how to say it, and having confidence that they can do that.
So in conjunction with a well-trained MLM downline, here’s how I recommend you use incentives to grow your network marketing business. Adding incentives can be thought of as games you can play to keep your MLM business fun and in the spirit of play. I’m talking about dynamic, exciting incentives to increase your MLM downline’s enthusiasm, and make them excited and looking forward to doing the business. And in turn, have that enthusiasm translate into products sold and new distributors signed up. This also creates a fun culture around your network marketing organization.
As hard as it may be to believe on the surface, it is widely acknowledged that distributor recognition is as effective a motivator as an increase of income.
Recognition raises self-esteem. It shows your distributors that you care about them, and you value and appreciate the effort that they put forth. You can’t put a price tag on that. And once they know that you care about them BY YOUR ACTIONS, they will show you something you may not have thought possible. They will give you their best performance ever.
What you’re trying to achieve with incentive programs is an increase of performance. The two important factors are:
a) What performance to reward
b) What to reward achievers
What performances to reward in your MLM business:
* Any of the 13 activities in Pocket Tracker. (A little booklet I developed to keep track of daily performance) Such as the number of appointments set, number of presentations, the number of retail sales, etc.
* Total number of guests at MLM opportunity meetings or on conference calls
* New distributors per week/month/quarter
* Retail products sold
* Training steps completed
* Highest volume, highest increase in volume, and highest increase in volume percentage and pin level achievement
What to reward achievers:
* Two things you should always do for small achievements within your network marketing organization are handwritten thank-you cards and delivered balloons or flowers. Those two things should be a staple in your MLM business.
* At every MLM training meeting you do, you should give at least two awards to high achievers. If you do a newsletter be sure to recognize your achievers in the newsletter. Get their picture with their guest(s).
* Weekly, whoever had the most guests at the meeting or everyone who had over three guests gets a free dinner.
* Professionally done certificates - in a frame ready for hanging on their wall.
* Recognition pins are good.
* Prospecting leads for high activity. Like whoever has the most number of prospects on the MLM opportunity conference calls gets 20 free leads.
* Apparel - such as company shirts or hats.
* Convention tickets are a great one. Everyone who sponsors five new distributors in the next two months get a free national convention ticket.
* Travel is always a good one - ski trip, beach trip, cruise, family trip.
Points that can hurt your program…and your MLM income:
* Lack of MLM training - I’ve mentioned this already but it tops the list as being most important.
* Reward the achievers immediately at the end of the program period. Don’t wait.
* Keep the program simple. If there’s a ton of twists and turns - no one knows what they have to do.
* Frequent winners - if the same people in your MLM organization win every time, others get discouraged. Change the program so that it rewards the super achievers as well as others.
* Lack of follow up after the program - at the end of the program right after the awards ceremony, pass out a 3×5 card and ask for comments.
* Lack of communication - someone has to be driving the incentive program. This means constant communication. Send pictures of the destination
