I had a friend who was an unhappy network marketer although she was doing everything her mlm training had taught her to do. Unfortunately, after a year of network marketing she was no closer to having mlm success than when she first started.
She was having problems in every aspect of her network marketing business. The products were not moving, most of her prospects were not joining her mlm business and those who did were not duplicating her to the extent that she hoped they would. Eventually, she began experiencing more losses than gains.
So, being frustrated as she was, she decided to jump to another mlm company. This move did not impact positively on her chances for network marketing success?
There are logical reasons for moving to another mlm company. For instance, a better compensation package as well as fewer restrictions on distributors. But will another mlm company greatly impact on success?
Well, as my friend is now discovering, this does little for mlm success. Most network marketing companies are similar. Sure there are differences in products, prices, bonuses and also the number of downlines a distributor can sponsor, but they are more or less the same.
A network marketer still has to make product sales and share the mlm opportunity despite the network marketing company that he or she is associated with. In other words there are no major differences in being a Quixtar distributor or an mlm consultant with Herbalife or any other top network marketing company. As a result, my friend was once again a frustrated network marketer.
So, this time I decided to make a suggestion instead of only criticizing her decisions. I advise her to build around her own business to achieve success instead of depending on the mlm companies.
What do I mean by building around your network marketing business? Well, all network marketers sell products and sponsor downlines into their mlm business. The more capable you are of doing this, the more successful you are in multi level marketing. You cannot fake this to make it.
Therefore, I encourage my friend to find ways to leverage these activities. I went further by suggesting combining the internet and network marketing. Many mlm companies do not permit their distributors to open retail stores but some do allow the use of the internet, so, why not use it.
The internet is ever growing in popularity. Many people are making transactions daily via the net. So I urged my friend to use the internet to build around her network marketing business.
My advice was taken but not how I intended. My network marketer friend began using a website provided by her mlm company. This website was ineffective because many of her co-distributors also had websites that were identical. Therefore search engines such as Yahoo and Google reject them. In other words no one will see them on the internet.
Think about it. Do you have a website provided by your mlm company? If yes, have you ever seen it being listed in any search results at Yahoo or Google? I am 100% certain you have not. The search engines reject duplicated websites therefore they are invisible.
Unfortunately my friend found this out the hard way. So she began sending e-mails asking her friends and acquaintances to visit her website. This lasted for a month without any results and she became a frustrated network marketer once again.
So, I made more suggestions. I told her to get her own mlm site. One that is legitimate and search engine friendly. It should provide a lot of free information that is helpful and useful to searchers. The searchers will feel a sense of loyalty to the site and to you and will be more willing to give up their contact information. When this happens, you have an mlm lead.
Now here are some statistics. In network marketing, approximately 1 in every 10 prospect is interested in joining our mlm business. Now, a good website gets on average 2000 visitors per month. Therefore, this means that you can have on average 200 interested mlm leads per month.
In the real world, however, persons who do network marketing online usually experience approx. 20 interested prospects per month. Not bad huh? Twenty mlm leads without cold calling or facing rejection and embarrassment.
My network marketer friend is currently in the process of building her website. Although the site is not yet completed, she is already getting visits from searchers at Yahoo, Google, Live and Ask. Now she is an excited and motivated network marketer. For the first time, she can envision her mlm success and know how she will achieve it.
So, are you still thinking of moving from one network marketing company to the next hoping to improve your chances at mlm success? The truth is network marketing is almost the same at every company. Therefore I am suggesting to you (like I did to my friend) to focus on your own network marketing business by building around it.

Is there success in running an online MLM business? Yes, there is! In fact many women choose MLM businesses for quite a while now. It is a sure passport to the world of business plus the risks are very minimal. There are of course, a lot of things to consider.
Try considering the advantages of venturing in an online MLM business as compared to “in person” MLM:
1.) One can avoid having to pressure family members and friends to buy the product.
2.) One can stay at home more and have more quality time with friends and family.
3.) An online MLM businessman has greater access to individuals interested in buying your product.
But then, aside from the great advantages, here are some other things one must also consider:
1.) Working online is quite as demanding as working online.
2.) There would be a lot of competing consultants selling the same product. It is important to choose a good marketing plan with the least saturation of consultants.
3.) There are many pyramid schemes online which pose as MLM. Check whether there really is a product being offered.
4.) There are a lot of “get rich instantly” ads in the net. If it’s too good to be true, then it’s most likely not true.
For online MLM business starters, here are some advice which may help in choosing a great online MLM business venture:
1.) It is advisable that the person wanting to engage in online MLM business to select a product he’s going to use for himself. It is not good to choose a product on the basis of the commission rate. It is important to be passionate about the product in order to sell it.
2.) Check how long the firm has been in business and the reputation it has established. Also check out its record at the Better Business Bureau. Are there any complaints against the company?
3.) Select a company with e-commerce on its program. Or if the company provides a website, one can opt to have a front page added to the company site.
Here are some MLM myths one can get acquainted with and learn to avoid:
MYTH #1: Online MLM can be greatly profitable in a very short span of time.
On the average, online MLM pays $2-$7 for each person in the organization. To reach a target amount of $2,000-$7,000, one needs 1,000 people into the organization. Achieving this is possible. But a lot of time is needed.
MYTH #2: If it’s a Ground Floor Opportunity, you must grab it immediately.
If it is a ground floor opportunity, it could only mean two things: first, people who join later will have less chances of earning money; or second, the firm will be out of the running in a span of two years.
Good businesses improve as they grow old and as business exposures increase.
MYTH #3: The more sales you make, the more cash you get.
An MLM business will work best if there are plenty of people helping one another make small numbers of purchases. One does not make money by simply selling a lot– one earns by helping build an organization.
An online MLM business can work for anyone; it might even be the best thing that can ever happen to an individual. Just don’t rush things and take note of the tips given above. For sure, real benefits can be reaped for the coming years.

MLM or Multi-level marketing, also called network marketing, is a type of merchandising which involves recruiting of other sales persons or downline. In an MLM, a person relates with a business institution as an independent contractor or dealer. You are usually compensated based on your sales of goods or services, as well as the sales made by your recruits or downline.
Many big companies use network marketing to promote their products and services. Avon and Tupperware are examples of organizations that can be categorized as employing multi-level marketing or MLM. Business establishments utilizing an MLM strategy usually save money on advertising and promotional costs. Consequently, they deem it fair to afford favorable compensation plans for network marketers for all their efforts.
It took some time for MLM to establish its legality and attain an amount of respectability. It was in the midst of 1980’s when business organizations started handling the stocking and distribution of goods as well as paying commissions earned by members through selling.
Most, if not all, MLM companies began to invade the World Wide Web when the Internet gained popularity. Lots of established companies took advantage of the Internet to promote their products and services. The Internet was also used by new MLM companies as their starting point for their businesses. They are generally considered as online MLM’s.
Unfortunately, the Internet was also used by fraudsters as a new medium for propagating their scams. New schemes proliferated and even old, exposed ones were revived with a mask of modernity. The law was slow to catch up and individuals were vulnerable. With the distributed nature of the Internet, the wrongdoers were able to hide their real identities or location.
If you are interested in joining an MLM or network marketing, it is advised that you first examine the company’s compensation plan. Find out if you will be paid based on actual sales to clients and not from money paid by your downline. If you earn money by simply recruiting and without actual selling of products or services, then it is a Ponzi scheme or an illegal pyramid scam.
MLM scams usually require you to pay high entrance fees or buy their expensive goods to become a member. Oftentimes, they close shop after a short time. Members are left with financial losses except those who got in early or at the top of the pyramid. The Federal Trade Commission has issued warnings against MLM companies who offer higher incentives for recruiting new members than on sale of products and services.
Various compensation plans have been devised by MLM companies. The most popular and oldest of which are Stairstep Breakaway or Unilevel plans. These plans feature three types of pay — baseshop overrides, generational overrides and executive bonuses. Managers and non-managers are the two types of distributors in these plans.
Other MLM compensation plans include matrix plans, binary plans and matrix schemes or elevator plans. As with other investments, it is essential for you to do careful research before you take the plunge.
Multi-level marketing adopts a hierarchical structure and a massive downline can improve your earning potential. However, you will never get rich if you will totally depend on your downline’s performance. You also have to exert effort to generate personal sales. After all, no sale will be made if everybody is expecting everybody else to do the selling.

If you are a network marketer, then you will probably want to create a successful MLM business. Many networkers look at the success stories of MLM and want to be able to emulate them. The good news is that these successes are just regular people who learned skills that you can learn to.
The simple truth is that there is a large gap between people who want success but do not take the necessary steps and those who attain it. In other words, there are a lot of “wannabe’s” in the business who never make it. So, what do the success stories of MLM do in order to be the winners they are?
1. Daily Habits. Successful network marketers are actively working on their business every day. How they do this, is different for everyone. Some may simply set a goal of two new prospects a day, perhaps by adding to new people to an opt-in mail list, face to face contact with two people who are interested in their story, adding new friends to social networking friend’s list (e.g. on Facebook) or giving away free information such as a report, newsletter, or e-book download. These actions are not only easy to do, they are effective ways to build your MLM business over the long term.
2. Weekly Habits. The highest earning network marketers also act consistently to build their business on a weekly basis with scheduled weekly activities. These activities will differ from person to person. For example, some may choose to mail out one package a week to someone who they think would gain from hearing about their product or MLM opportunity. This can include a CD, free sample, pamphlets, or a book. This is a very effective way to let someone know you are in business without heavy selling. Regular, simple weekly actions can also generate a big payoff in the long run.
3. Monthly Habits. No matter what business you are in, to be successful you have to keep up to date and keep learning. MLM is no different. Leaders who succeed attend the monthly events sponsored by their organizations. These events are usually enjoyable and include dinners, lunches, seminars etc. They are designed to improve knowledge and prospecting skills as well as to encourage and motivate.
4. Self Improvement. The people who succeed in MLM are those who working to improve themselves. They take advantage of personal development resources such as books, Audios, DVDS, and participating in online groups etc. They tend to spend at least fifteen to thirty minutes every day on personal development.
5. Don’t Quit. People who succeed in MLM know that success doesn’t happen overnight. In fact, you may not see much happening for one, two or even three months. Successful network marketers know that MLM systems are designed to create exponential growth and the start up is always slow. They are fully aware that they have to be prepared to invest at least one year in building a new MLM business and they are committed to the process. They don’t get distracted by every new opportunity that comes along.
6. Create an “Edge.” The most successful people in MLM are focused on maintaining a slight edge. They are well aware that it is easy to avoid taking the necessary actions for success. But they are also aware that those actions are equally easy to do if they are disciplined to do them. They choose to take personal responsibility for their success or failures in life and in business. Even if they can’t see any immediate benefits from their daily actions, they are committed to doing them anyway because they know there will be long term benefits. The biggest MLM producers know that while 80% of their time may need to be invested in building their business, in the long run this will reduce to 20% of their effort and they will reap the benefits.
7. Have a Long Term View. Finally, the success stories of MLM are able to live outside their “comfort zone” for a period of time because they are aware that they will reap huge benefits in usually three to five years.
It is clear that people who succeed in MLM have a different approach to individual’s who remain simply “wannabe’s.” If you genuinely want to succeed in MLM, you can choose to follow the example of those who have succeeded and put yourself on the pathway to success.

Have you tried network marketing and failed? If so, you most likely didn’t have a network marketing business plan. Most people don’t even realize that they need an actual business plan for network marketing, and they simply rely on the business plan that the parent company developed. True success comes from developing your own strategies, which includes having your own plan.
A network marketing business plan isn’t anything like a traditional business plan, but like a traditional plan, it is a plan designed to help you succeed. It is essentially a road map to success for you to follow.
Here is some information that should be included in your network marketing business plan:
1. How to Generate Leads - The first thing one always does in network marketing is to generate leads. Without leads, there will be no sales. Without sales, there will be no commissions. Fortunately for network marketers around the world, generating leads isn’t what it used to be. Today, it is very easy to generate leads, and instead of you having to hunt for those leads, those leads will hunt for you.
Even if the parent company provides you with a replicated website, you need your own unique website. Never allow a visitor to go to that replicated site without at least passing through your own. When they visit your website, you need to capture their first name, email address, and if possible, their phone number. To save time, weed out the visitors who are just browsing, so that you can fully concentrate on those leads who have a true interest in what you are offering. You do this with your content. Lead them through the content, and at the end of that content, provide a contact form. Those who are truly interested will give you their information, and those who are not will leave.
Instead of spending your time looking for leads, spend your time marketing your website, and staying in touch with those who have contacted you by sending out regular newsletters or emails.
2. How to Convert Sales - Once a person has expressed a true interest and filled out the contact form, they are already warmed up for you. At this point, you can lead them to the replicated site for more information, or you can call them and talk to them yourself, before sending them to the replicated website. Again, these people are already warmed up a bit, and they are open to what you have to say to them.
In addition, you will often find that those who are looking for a way to make extra money, or to replace a full time income, will be interested in the opportunity if they are interested in the products. Never forget that, and use it to your advantage.
Remember that there are two sides to any network marketing business. Not only will you need to close sales, but you will also need to build a downline.
If you’re not confident in your ability to write good sales copy, hire a professional copywriter, or take a copywriting course. There are many available online, and you will find that the cost of the course will be worth its weight in gold when you put your newly acquired skills to use.
3. How to Retain Customers - Are you in a network marketing program where the customer will need the products or services over and over again? If not, look for such products or services in other related network marketing programs. Ideally, your customers will order from you over and over again, providing you with residual income. This is where true success comes in; however, this does not mean that you can’t gain the customer by selling them a one-time only product, as long as you are also prepared to sell them products that require ongoing purchases.
This is a great way to retain customers and create multiple streams of income for yourself. If you’ve paid attention to the economy, you probably know that one should never solely depend on just one income source. That’s like placing all of your eggs in one basket.
4. How to Replicate Your Success - Once you have a tried and true method for generating leads, for converting sales, and for retaining customers, start replicating your system. Make sure that you have the entire sales process written down, so that you can follow it over and over again to build a huge - profitable - customer base. This is how your business will not only grow, but also how it will continue to reward you for many years to come.
By developing a simple network marketing business plan, you will be creating a personal road map to success.

In todays world of Network Marketing, many new network marketers fall into the trap of using their company provided web page, which is a huge mistake. There are three keys to using a web page to build your downline for network marketing.
The first key to effective network marketing web pages is to use something called a landing page. Never use your company provided web page. You want to have a very simple page with a very targeted message addressed to the audience you are trying to recruit with that page. If you have your own personal landing page, with your name on it, people will start to identify you as an expert and new people want to join an expert.
The second key to effective network marketing web pages is to have an opt-in form so you can capture their information. Essentially you want to be able for that potential customer to leave their first name and e-mail address so they you can contact them later with information. When people get to your page, you only want to give them one option, submit their information. You don not want to give them many choices since people will quickly lose interest and you will never get that person back as a viewer. Its hard enough to get people to your page. Ensuring you maximize the number of people that opt-in to your form is crucial.
The third key to effective network marketing web pages for downline building is to offer to give them something like a white paper or ezine series. Provide some kind of information that they would want in exchange for them giving up their contact information. Make it information that will be worth their while for their time. Perhaps make it a video bootcamp on the best way to go green or to build a network marketing business. It might be an ebook that you write which has a link for your opportunity in it. If you make it good information, you will have them coming back for more!
Never use your company provided web page to attract new customers. The three keys to effective network marketing web pages for downline building are: use a single landing page, create an opt-in form, and give that person something of value in exchange for their information. This is only the first step in building a downline with Network Marketing, but it is a crucial one.

Enthusiasm can be a two-edged sword. Without enthusiasm for your business, your prospects will perceive your apathy and won’t feel as much desire to work with you. On the other hand, there comes the danger that if you have simply too much enthusiasm your potential client will assume that there’s something wrong with you or your offer that they’re not getting.
This type of business killing enthusiasm we shall call “hype”. Do not get this confused with the acronym “HYIP” which some pronounce the same way. A “HYIP” is a high yield investment program and usually some kind of scam. Save yourself a lot of trouble by avoiding any program that doesn’t provide a real product or service, or a network who’s sole purpose is to bring in more people without providing and real benefits.
When you show too much enthusiasm for your product or service in your marketing, people instantly feel like you’re trying to sell them something. That’s true, you are. The prospect, however, doesn’t like being SOLD anything. What the prospect really loves to do is BUY.
Wait a second, aren’t those two the same thing? On the surface, the actions are the same, but inside the mind of the prospect turned client there is an enormous difference. One event involves the prospect spending his money almost against his own will. The second is that the prospect has a burning desire to obtain the benefits you advertise.
Put yourself in the position of your client. Would you rather pick something at your leisure that you really want or would you rather talk to somebody who acts like he just drank two liters of coffee with Coca Cola?
Don’t get me wrong, enthusiasm in your business is an absolute must. Here are some things to specifically avoid in your marketing that give off the “hype” feeling and less of the “burning desire” feeling.
Do not use exclamation marks too vigorously, it looks very amateur.
Do not capitalize EVERY WORD OF YOUR AD LIKE THIS. It’s hard to read and puts people off.
Never say that you are selling, that’s the easiest way to put people off. Instead, say you offer something.
Do not speak much louder than your prospect or interrupt them. You should mirror them, that is, match voice loudness and word usage. By speaking in terms you know your prospect uses and understands, you gain immediate rapport.
Look your prospect right in the eye when you explain the most important benefit you provide. If you don’t, your prospect may not understand the true value of what you offer.
These are a few simple tips to keep in mind as you begin to market. I’ve seen every one of these mistakes committed as I’ve looked at other marketing strategies. I hope you never commit the mistake of being too enthusiastic for your prospect to stomach you.

Success can be measured using different standards. I may consider myself successful because I have power, because I live a luxurious lifestyle, or because I have billion dollars in my bank account. Today’s era has come to equate success with money. And although many will argue that money is not everything, no one can deny the fact that money is still something if someone wants to enjoy a satisfactory lifestyle.
Success is the primary goal of most people, and the accumulation of wealth is the overriding concern of many. From the very start, we work to earn and to amass more money. However, only a few in today’s world can actually be considered as financially successful and are really enjoying a wealthy life. Who are these people? And how do they manage to reach such heights in their life?
A few wealth creation books and seminars pointed out network marketing business as among the most effective means to bring about financial success. When speaking of financial success, I am referring to a person’s ability to fully enjoy and support his lifestyle. Only a few people actually have this opportunity because many are preoccupied with the goal of earning more to be able to experience financial success.
The network marketing business has a lot to offer. It promotes independent and home-based business that will give everybody the chance to be his own boss instead of working several hours a day for someone else. Three of the most appealing privileges of the network marketing business are the residual income, the leverage in time and money, and the geometric growth that it offers.
A residual income is a certain amount of money that will give me back earnings without requiring me to do any work at all. Once the money is invested, it will work on its own to bring me profits. In network marketing, once the chain is started and more people get involved, the money keeps on rolling and coming back. This business also provides leverage since it continuous to produce results without eating much of my time and money. When I am able to attract people who will then be working for me, profit will continue to come in even when I am not doing anything. The people working for me will be the one to bring in money. And because the network marketing business is a system, it creates a chain reaction among those who get involved. This promotes geometric growth, attracting more people and attracting more profit. While I get more benefits, the people working for me are also given the chance to attract others who will bring money to them and to me as well. This is the power of duplication and geometric growth.
A very appealing opportunity like this may sound impossible, but network marketing is actually far different from the scandalous pyramid scheme. The pyramid scheme takes advantage of the efforts of the people working from the lower area of the pyramid. These people do much of the work while those at the top receive much of the profit. In other words, pyramid scheme earns purely by recruiting people and usually there is no products or products that give no real benefits.
Network marketing is far from this. This business brings in profit according to the effort exerted by the person involved. Once I start in the business, I will have to work hard to sell the product. I need to meet my own sale quota to get commissions. If I bring in more people, I do not benefit anything by purely recruiting them. I need to work with them so that they can achieve their sales quota and earn their commissions. If they meet their sales quota and I met my sales quota, then I can get commission from their sales as well. If I do not met my sales quota, then I will get nothing from their sales.
Now that network marketing is made clear, it will be interesting to discuss some useful ways to identify the right network marketing business to embark on. The most important considerations are the legitimacy, the stability, and the growth potential of the business. Picking the right company is the first step. The primary considerations are the stability, financial background, and the product or service that the company offers. The establishment must have enough credibility to back it up so that I will be sure that I won’t end up broke. The service or product that it offers must also have a lasting and universal appeal among people to ensure that they will be in great demand for a long period of time.
A good company will also offer the possibility to earn profit fast and will give me enough amount of time to pursue my present job or my current lifestyle. Lastly, the best network marketing business that I can possibly embark on is something that I can fully enjoy. This is one of the greatest secrets to a successful business, having fun while doing it.
There are many people who offer practical tips and insights that will be of great help to those who are serious in embarking into a network marketing business. There are gurus and specialists who can teach you to get started with the path that you have always dreamed of. All you need to do is to find the right person and the right way to get started.

The big players know “how to assess” a network marketing company, and the following three questions allow them to eliminate 95% of the companies they see:
1.Would I buy this product myself if I was not going to get a check?
Generally speaking, if the product is not one that you’d have any interest in, then your success is going to be weak. The key is personal passion. They find something that they can stay pumped and motivated about no matter what happens. They identify with the group of people for whom the product is designed. If the answer is no, they simply decline and look at another opportunity.
2.Would they pay that price for the product or service?
If not, it’s not likely that anyone else will either. They know that people are not going to automatically pay more for a product just because they might get a bonus check. Success in network marketing is all about getting the product to the end-consumer. Someone who actually wants it and is willing to pay for it. Without movement in sales, t he business will quickly fail and any recruits will bail within 90 days. And let’s be honest: the MLM industry is notorious for over-pricing mediocre products just so the company can pay out commissions. The product has to have a value that meets or exceeds the price tag. Otherwise, it’s a waste of time. The only people paying $4 for that bar of soap or $13 for that bottle of shampoo are the other distributors.
3.How many people are needed on the team to break even?
This is one of the most overlooked factors when selecting a company. Most people get so enamored by the pay plan chart and the dream of building a team of thousands of people that they never bother to do any basic 3rd grade arithmetic.
Any serious business owner knows how much money he has to bring in to make a
profit and he can tell you. 99.9% of network marketers have no idea.
And it’s easy to figure up. Get a pencil and paper and follow along:
Figure up how much it costs for you to operate your business each month. Product purchases, website, marketing, etc. This is your overhead. (Example: $400 a month)
Figure up the average commission you earn on an enrollment when someone signs up and buys the same amount of product you do. (if you get paid different percentages on different levels, take an average of your top three levels) This should be a dollar figure, not a percentage figure. (Example: $5.25 per person in your downline)
Divide the figure in step A by the figure in Step B. This is the number of people that you require in your downline to break even. (Example: $400 divided by $5.25 = 76 people).
Leaders know they should be able to break even on expenses with only 4-8 people on the team. The longer the team goes without earning profits, the more likely everyone gets frustrated and quits.
Here’s what the leader does locally:
Convinces a leader in another company of the superiority of his company and pay plan and markets to the other marketer. That leader brings most of his downline and suddenly there’s a new big player.
Sizzle Cards: Drops cards everywhere he goes so that every trip becomes a business trip to “distribute marketing materials” so even pumping gas becomes tax deductible. Those cards are so good that they get people to call the leader and he can brag about how he went to the top of the company in a hurry and by just doing what he teaches, that prospect can do the same. Sizzle cards, however, work great at any level in network marketing.
Here’s what the leader does online:
Uses a list already created by a successful marketer and does a joint venture with the owner, maybe even paying to sponsor the owner for the owner to recommend the program to his list of highly qualified leads. Lots of people join and the big player goes up the ladder.
The leader also has automated traffic going to his sign-up site, a web page so well designed that it converts and recruits like crazy. Anybody can set up their own fully automated traffic system and get targeted prospects just like industry leaders. To set your own up for free, just click here.
Those are the secrets of big dogs, they leverage. Leaders realize that their most precious asset is time so they use it getting the time and efforts of other people to pay off for them.
Can anybody do what they do? Yes, but it requires persistence, diligence, lots of guts, and determination. Start with what you can do on your own, get some awesome sizzle cards and generate automated traffic to your own website.

I am always a curious person by nature. As long as something has arose my curiosity, I will tend to do research. After reading the Rich Dad’s series by Robert Kiyosaki, I have realized that building a network marketing business is one of the ways to achieve financial freedom. Thus, I decide to learn more and research about such business.
Based on my personal opinion, there are 2 general categories of network marketing company namely online and offline. What do I mean by online or offline company? Well, it is actually based on how the products or services are delivered.
A company whose products or service need physical delivery is what I defined as offline. Examples of products are health food, cosmetics and consumable items that required to be delivered physically.
A company whose products or service that can be delivered purely over the Internet is what I deemed as online. Examples of products are online video seminars and online education course. Examples of services are domain name registration and web hosting services.
Since there are two general categories of network marketing company, what are the advantages of online company over offline company?
Firstly, I feel that an online company has a lower cost of reproducing the products or service. For example, an online video seminar cost almost nothing to reproduce. Whereas there is definitely cost to reproduce health food.
What does this mean to me as a business owner as defined in the cashflow quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki? This means that the online company has a higher profit margin with each products or service sold.
If the company keeps the profit to itself, then the company will be much stronger financially as compared to an offline network company since it is earning more money from each sale. A financially strong company is a more stable company. As a business owner, I will definitely like to build a network marketing business with a company with strong financial background.
If the company decides to split the profit with the distributor, then I will benefit as a business owner. That means I will earn more commissions through each sale.
Secondly, I feel that an online network marketing company has no boundaries in terms of countries. This means that I can market the products or service to anyone who is using the Internet. I am not restricted to local market. I can reach out to other people from other countries.
Also, the Internet population is still growing at an amazing rate. This means there is a great potential to grow my network marketing business further. Compare to an offline network marketing company, I can only do it locally.
Thirdly, I notice that online multilevel marketing company usually provide me an online system that is operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That means my mlm business is running even if I am asleep or away on leave. This is usually not true for a offline network marketing company.
Next, I can work anywhere as long as there is Internet. This is because the online mlm business is purely online. So I can enjoy mobility of work. I will not be restricted to work in a physical location. I can be working oversea as well. This may not be possible with an offline mlm business. This is because there will be an issue of shipping products or providing services oversea.
Then, I do not need to worry about the delivery of products or service to my customers since it is an online mlm business. This means that I have more free time compared to doing an offline mlm business. I can use the free time to focus on building relationships with my customers and business partners.
Lastly, I can do the online multilevel marketing business in an offline mode as well. That is I can physically call and approach people to do sales. Also, I can persuade people to join me as business partners in the online multilevel business.
Please note that the list of advantages purely based on my personal opinion. Though there are obvious advantages of online network marketing business over offline network marketing business, I feel that the main disadvantage is how to choose a legitimate online business. This is where the understanding of the laws is important. I realized from the Rich Dad’s series by Robert Kiyosaki that it is important to be aware of laws that may affect wealth creation.
If I do a search on the Internet, there is a big list of online network marketing companies that I can join as a distributor to start a business. But which one is real? Which one a fraud? Extra care is needed to select an online network marketing company compared to an offline network marketing company. The best is that I can physically visit the physical office of the online network marketing company and check it out. Also, I will verify the company registration with governing authority.

Network marketing and direct sales is an increasingly popular business model in the 21st century. Technological advances have made communication easier and cheaper than ever which opens up new markets both within the nation and abroad. A lot of older companies still teach the recruiting techniques that built their businesses in 1986 even though the market has changed. The sad part is that many of the same lies are still being taught to newbies in this industry. It’s these destructive lies that create false hope which leads to unmet expectations which lead to depression and failure.
Great big lie number one: You only ever have to recruit two or three people.
Yeah right, ask anybody who is in your upline that has at least a year of experience. One of the flaws in most recruiting methods is that they teach the compensation plan and people see the minimum required to stay afloat and think, “I can do that, it’s not much at all.” Once these people successfully get their two people into the business, they give up on building their own downline wide and get sucked into helping their new recruits build theirs. This creates a weak and dependent system that eventually breaks down. The people you train don’t know how to build their business and can’t teach it to their downline because you did it for them.
Great big lie number two: Give your referrals to your sponsor and they’ll get them into the business.
There are network marketers who are the slimiest liars on the planet who will steal your prospects for themselves after the fact saying, “I did the work to get them in, I deserve to benefit from my efforts.” Or worse, not even tell you that they joined the business yet you find out later. These types are the minority but they do exist. The majority will legitimately try to get them into your downline to get you promoted so they can in turn get promoted. Once again, you become dependent on their work and may tick off everybody you know in the process. Since your sponsor has nothing to lose, they won’t be nearly as nice as you. While this gets results in the short term, in the long run it tends to fail.
Great big lie number three: You never have to sell product, that’s what your downline is for.
Hum, so what are you supposed to do for your sponsor? If the hook to getting people aboard is that no product sales ever need be made then you may have just fallen into a scam or ponzi scheme masquerading as a legitimate company. One of the biggest benefits of participating in an MLM is learning business skills such as sales. If you try to build a business purely on referring others to the company, you position yourself as an incompetent leader when it comes time to conduct transactions. Rely on relationships initially, then learn to branch out at approach the cold market, as all salespeople must eventually do in order to grow.
Most people nowadays are aware of what’s involved in MLM and network marketing. I personally use products distributed by these companies because I honestly believe in the superiority of the product. I never would sign on to promote these products to other people, however, because many of the distributors in the company don’t know how to really market their business or use referral systems. It’s unfortunate that over 90% of these types of business owners have negative cash flow, but it doesn’t have to be that way. If distributors would get educated to the truth, share it with others to prepare them to join, and learn how to market the business without bugging friends and family or buying leads then the percentage of successful home based business owners would climb dramatically and restore more respect to the industry as a whole.

A problem network marketers have is the tendency to oversell the network marketing opportunity. Such high pressure sales tactics, though possibily effective, is not duplicable by everyone on the team. Other members will use their own methods, and when this happens, duplication does not necessarily occur, because of the human factor at play.
One way to ensure duplication is to write a guide book that belongs to the team. Everyone follows the same manual and acts in a similar fashion.
By having everyone on the same page, this ensures that everyone is on the same tempo and frequency and sells the business opportunity with the same method. One company I know uses the ABC method, and preliminary background of the prospect is necessary before hand in order to best present the biz op to him. In this case, A is the presenter, B is the introducing party, and C is the customer.
A second way is to build a website that is able to accept payment via credit cards.
All selling is done online and through the internet. With the internet overtaking the world and online credit card transactions becoming more acceptable..people are comfortable to join network marketing companies online. The good thing about this is that there is less coordination needed between various networkers. All selling is automated.
A third way is to not sell the business opportunity. Yes you heard right. Do not sell the business opportunity. Instead focus on selling the product.
When people start using the product and like what they have, they will be convinced enough because they know the company is not based solely on recruitment but a quality product they can sell and make money from. One network marketer i know, only focused selling his products online and made $500,000 worth in sales.
Lastly, once you’re able to sell the products well, people will be drawn to you when you tell them you can give them the exact blue print and tactics you use to command such high volume turnover. By focusing on the product rather then recruitment, this concept will draw people to join under you to learn how to make money from sale of products.
By following these ideas, you will have a less stressful time building your network marketing business. Any of the points can ensure a rejection free network marketing experience. When I used point number 2, I personally brought 20 people into my network marketing business in 2 weeks.
If you could take your network marketing business to another level, by making it easier for not only you but the rest of your team, and quickly grow your business by leaps and bounds through the power of duplication via the internet, would you implement it? Because i’m a fan of the internet, I encourage you to bring your Network Marketing business online and harness the power of the Internet.

Network Marketing has brought fortunes to people who know how to select the right products, the right company and work the marketing system properly. For some, this could be selling the companies products online, for others its selling the products through word of mouth referrals. Having a good product that is ever improving is the key to a good network marketing company. In other words, people would join the company just to consume the products and not necessarily to do the business. For those that wish to do the business, they should use the internet to take payment and learn how to combine offline and online techniques to build a network marketing business.
Here are some tips.
Start an account with PayPal. It’s very easy to do and can be setup in under 30 minutes for the complete newbie. This will be your payment processor for you to take orders online. Here’s the link http://www.paypal.com
Next is to start a website. The reason you want to have your own website, as opposed to having one provided to you by the network marketing company, is because Search Engines don’t like Duplicated websites, and these will not be indexed. Having your own original website gives you an identity, and allows your customers to do business with you and not other distributors. There are many web hosting solutions you can use. Plans range between $10 to $25. Some companies are DotEasy, Host4Profit, Kiosk.ws, VodaHosting. All are reputable, find one that suits you.
Go to GoDaddy and purchase a domain name. Try to find a domain name that is in line with what you’re offering. So if you’re offering “Detox Products”, your domain name could be http://www.pappysdetoxresource.com. Here’s the link http://www.godaddy.com
You will need to point your DNS server to that of your webhosting company. If all this sounds too complicated, the web hosting company, will gladly assist you.
The final thing you’ll need to do is to integrate the payment processor, domain name and website content all together. I would suggest to get a web designer to do this. You can find one at http://www.elance.com to do the job for you. It may cost a little money, but it will save you alot of headache.
Once your website is up, all you have to do is drive traffic to it.
An alternative way is to utilise a Funded Sponsoring Franchise that has the above done for you, which leaves you to focus only on the aspect of Driving Traffic. Funded Sponsoring Franchises are essentially marketing systems that generate upfront cash which is put back into advertising. Cash flow models are the back bone of such systems. You can plug in your current Network Marketing business into the system and leave the technical aspect aside, while focusing on advertising.
Most people can share and drive traffic, or another word, marketing, which strangely enough is more important then the technical aspect of setting up a network marketing business online.
Give your current network marketing business a boost with the internet, or use a funded sponsoring franchise model and select products to sell that are easily marketed over the internet. Then simply focus on the aspect of driving traffic and marketing. Simply by focusing on a single skill, is enough to give one success online.

You finally decided to join the thousands of others who work from home. The home business you decide to pursue is network marketing.
Now, before you just up and join any network marketing company that looks good on the surface, seems to have a good product, etc. and so forth, STOP! Why stop? Because there are crucial steps you need to take to avoid being in the 93% failure rate of most people who join a network marketing company. Follow these tips and you will way ahead of many other home-based business opportunity seekers.
Tip #1: Commit to doing your research FIRST. I can’t say enough how important this is. Starting a home-based business is a big decision and should never be done hastily and without careful thought. Commit to doing 5 or 6 hours of research on a number of companies. This one simple tip can greatly increase your level of success and save you years of frustration, being scammed, and most importantly, quitting.
Tip #2: When looking at a network marketing opportunity, make sure the product the company promotes meets the needs of a hot and hungry market. In other words, whatever company you are looking to join, make sure there are people out there clamoring for the product and would buy it even if there were no business opportunity associated with it.
You see, many people get so emotionally attached to a product or outcome that they totally miss the importance of seeing if there is even a market for it. If there is no market, you will have no success at all.
Tip #3: Use Overture. When researching if there is a hot and hungry market for a product, Overture.com is a great way to see how many people are searching for any particular product or service in a given month. If your research shows only 1,000 people are searching for a product, it would be a waste of time for you to join a network marketing company that sells it. However, if you see searches for 30,000, 50,000, 100,000 or even more, you are on the right track!
Tip #4: Check out the competitors of a product. Go the search engines Yahoo, Google, and MSN and look at the first 10 companies that are listed. If the first 10 are the same company, it’s not good. However, if there are a variety of companies selling the product, this is good because it means that there is more of a demand for it.
Tip #5: Use Overture’s bid tool. By doing this, you will be able to see if there are many people interested in a product and how much they are willing to pay per click to have folks come and visit their site. If there isn’t a lot of bidding going, that’s a bad sign. If there are quite a few people bidding on a specific term related to the product the network marketing opportunity promotes, that is a very good thing.
These are simple strategies and tools you can use to research if the network marketing opportunity is worth your time and money. If you follow these tips, and your research shows the home-based business opportunity is worth pursuing, go for it!

Everyone working a full time job has days when they think that starting a home based business might be better. There are several reasons for this, but most people neglect to ask themselves whether they are, in fact, ready to start one. Asking this question means that you have seriously thought through the implications of running a business and the requirements, sacrifices, and lifestyle alterations you may need to make.
Once you have thought about all the aspects of running your own home based business, the next obvious question is the nature of the business you wish to promote. There are virtually unlimited opportunities available to the home business seeker. There are all sorts of affiliate programs out there and many of them offer some sort of residual income plan. Then there are the MLM, multi-level marketing, systems that also offer great incomes. You need to evaluate these options and find the one that suits you best.
Choosing the right home based business is not a 5-minute task, but is itself a small project that needs careful handling.
One reason why everyone looks to a home based business is that it is no longer practical to rely on your employer or the government to take care of you once you retire. The stock market was a great standby for many but then there is always the inherent factor of risk that can make the market plunge without notice that does not make for comfortable thinking, especially when your retirement savings are tied in.
Having your own home based business and working towards a residual income is a great way to providing yourself with the insurance of a comfortable retirement. Residual income is income that continues to generate itself even when you are not making any effort.
Royalties are a classic example of a residual income. You write a book or record a song and as long as the product keeps selling, you will continue to receive royalty payments. You make only one effort in the beginning and then just sit back while the money keeps coming in. Write several books or songs and you can see how this can lead to serious money.
However, it is not possible for every one of us to write a book or record a hit album and so we need some other means of generating residual income. What all of us can do is recommend products and services that we find useful and beneficial. This is where home based business comes into the picture and especially MLM. Most of us are already recommending products to others but we just never realize it because we have never thought about it.
The way MLM works is that you recommend their products or services to other people. So, if the MLM company makes something, like a good shampoo, and you make a sale once, then every time that consumer buys that shampoo, you keep getting commissions. You only have to make the sale once.
The true residual factor comes in when your customers recommend the same product to more people. This does not even require you to do anything called work. The moment your customers start bringing in customers of their own, it begins an infinite cycle where every new customer in this chain will give you some percentage as a commission merely for having started this process. In short, you could be generating a huge income doing nothing.
The toughest part in this is to make that first sale, or number of sales, to such customers who are good at bringing in more customers of their own. This involves network marketing skills that require some amount of training.
There is no shortage of MLM businesses or training materials on the Internet. The businesses deal with a wide range of products and you can certainly take your pick of them.
Just remember that, though this sounds very good, it is still a business and like any other business, you will need to work at it before you begin seeing results. Do not expect overnight success despite all the testimonials you see out there. You need to think like a business owner who knows how to plan and create strategies to succeed.
Home business requires you to set aside at least 20 hours per week that you spend on building your business and promoting the products of your choice. You will eventually need to find means of recruiting people who can help grow your network of customers and co-affiliates that will generate further sales for you.
Once you have a good sized network, things become automatic and residual income becomes a reality.

One of the most important aspects of your MLM business is generating prospects. Without prospects, you have no leads, resulting in no downline growth, ultimately ending in your MLM business fizzling out, and dying on you.
You may already be aware of the importance that prospects are in your MLM business, but at the same time you may be wondering how people in your upline manage to find quality prospects easily, while you struggle tooth and nail in order to get just one. The difference between you and prospecting superstars in your MLM business may be that they have mastered a prospecting system. The good news is that a prospecting system is easier to create than you think.
Components Of A Prospecting System
Your prospecting system should be comprised of four steps, taken one after another. There are no hard rules on how you achieve these steps. However, they must be followed in a sequence. By skipping steps, or starting with the last step first, you will be no better off than when you didn’t have any system in place. So let’s take a look at these steps, in order.
Seeking
The first step in your system is to seek out people to talk to. You need to find no less than one person each day to talk to about your business. So your first step is to put yourself into daily positions where you are in contact with large numbers of people that you have the opportunity to communicate with.
Seeking out someone to talk to isn’t really that hard. If you are a parent, seek other parents at the school yard, if you go shopping, try seeking out people who are waiting in line at the supermarket. Everywhere you go, see it as an opportunity to find interested prospects to talk to.
Exposure
Your next step is to expose the person to an idea. This should be a brief example that takes around 30 seconds. At this point, you want to interest your prospect enough for them to want to lean more. Don’t give away the whole story to your prospect right there at the shopping center, just offer them the opportunity to learn more if they are interested.
At the exposure step, you can also use some handy MLM tools, such as CD’s, brochures, or even DVDs that are emotionally charged, but brief, and to the point. Your prospect can take these things home, watch them, and contact you for more information if they are interested in the business opportunity or products that you are offering. At this stage, you are weeding out those who are interested in listening to more about the business from those who are not interested at all.
Sorting
In the sorting process, you will be sorting your contacts, or prospects that you have come across daily into two groups. Those who are open to new ideas and interested in what you have to say, and those who are closed to new ideas, and are not interested in your message. This is a vital step in your system, as you don’t want to waste efforts on those who aren’t interested instead of spending time with prospects who are really interested in your MLM opportunity.
Those who are open to ideas, and willing to listen to you, deserve your time, and effort. These are the people that you will be taking note of, and moving them on to the next step of the system. One of the easiest ways to weed out the interested people from those who are not interested is to ask them questions such as, did the promotional material you gave them make any sense, did they enjoy the CD you gave them, or had they watched the DVD, and did they have any questions about it. The responses that you receive from these questions will give you an answer on what the person is thinking, and if they are interested enough in the opportunity to progress to the last step.
Filtering
Your last step is to filter those who want to learn more about the opportunity now, and those who are mildly interested, but not ready to learn more at this stage. The prospects who are ready to progress further with the opportunity need to be introduced to your MLM upline system, and shown a presentation on how the MLM business works, and the types of products and services that are available to them.
For those who are mildly interested, but not willing to progress to the next step of the MLM opportunity, you need to file them away for now, and follow up on them later on with a phone call. Before filing away a prospect, make sure to ask their permission to keep in contact with them, and keep them updated on the opportunity.
By following these four steps, you are able to seek out people, expose them to your message, and sort out those who are interested, filter the ones out who are ready to learn more about the opportunity, and are ready to take part. By implementing this prospecting system, you keep on top of the prospecting process, and teach you how to use your time to your best advantage.

The MLM industry continues on a rocky road these days. Internet based criticism and attack seem to be coming from all directions and at an escalating pace. I for one am not about to be an exception.
Just this past month, in a crucial development that will rock the entire MLM world, the grandfather of them all, Amway (now Quixtar), has been sued in the US District Court in California for running an illegal pyramid scheme. This may be the most damaging news in a long, long time and will surely send shock waves throughout the entire MLM industry.
Too many MLM businesses are run by the wrong people bringing in the wrong people to sell the wrong product these days. Add up all those wrongs and it is obvious why far too many MLM businesses fail to deliver lasting results. Without lasting results, the industry gets the kind of press it is getting.
Forget about the business model or merchandising methodology for a minute and examine the merchandise. From my own experienced observation and evaluation, fully 70 percent of the products being offered up by the industry as marketable and profitably viable, are not. Another 10 percent are borderline scenarios.
If you think that is harsh, you are right.
What disturbs me is that with all the negativity generated by businesses that thinking people know should not even exist; the strengths of MLM or Network Marketing are too easily overlooked.
Sound MLM or Network Marketing companies are many. And sound MLM or Network Marketing businesses are out there alright, and they have been healthy and very successful for a long time.
But here’s the real lesson:
Success sells success, not gimmicky merchandise of questionable value. The reason success sells success is because success buys into success, and success brings success.
The fact is success is a full circle, a very tight full circle. Successful people are interested in other successful people because they can derive a personal benefit from such an association.
If you are a success and the business you represent can demonstrate success, then you have something other successful people are interested in, and believe me; if successful people are interested, they will find you.
There will always be some new electronic fly zapper or wonder wrinkle cream come along and some of these items and their accompanying MLM business model might do well for awhile, and for a select few.
Concentrate your energy, business sense, and success into finding and aligning with success. Fortunately, some things never change.

In your MLM career you will encounter all kinds of people. Some of them will help you more than others in building your business. By being able to recognize and understand some of the challenging personality types you’ll be able to choose who you can manage and who you’ll steer clear of.
People who Pressure with Unrealistically High Entry Fees
Unless you can afford it and you love the products, you must avoid people who unnecessarily pressure you into high inventory loading or front loading. Your sponsor might be going to the quick sale and that can happen even after you joined as a distributor.
Of course you will normally get a much higher profit margin if you buy more products, but you have to consider whether your prospects are willing to do the same thing. Maybe they just want to be customers. Not all will come in at the most expensive entry level.
Hardcore MLM Junkies
Only join the team of serious networkers who work hard in their company and are in it for the long haul. Some MLM junkies are only in for the fast money and you will find it hard to locate your sponsor if he suddenly jumps off towards the next smoking hot opportunity.
Normally, an MLM junkie will join a company after he or she gets really hyped up by the opportunity meeting or rally. They will be on fire for a while before they lose steam and die a natural death.
The root cause of the problem would be running into difficulties in their business and when they can’t handle the struggles, they find reasons to leave and join other companies because they are better or because their upline is better.
It’s important to keep in mind that if we can solve the struggles within ourselves, then we will not find problems with our businesses. The main reason to hesitate joining an MLM junkie would be seeing him all hyped up about one opportunity and later on he will tell you to join another one and give reasons why the previous one he got you into is not as good as this one.
The Energy Sucker
Sometimes, the wisest move can be to turn this type of prospect away from your group. The energy sucker is like a disease among the sheep. A good shepherd removes the diseased sheep from the flock to preserve the other sheep. Energy suckers carry too much emotional baggage and are the biggest cry babies in the networking industry.
An energy sucker sucks your positive energy dry and can frustrate you with his problems like all the pain of his rejections, complaining about the company, the team, the staff or even the products. If you are not careful, that negative energy can get passed to your downline and he might influence them to leave.
The Talker
These people are not bad people in and off themselves. They are great crowd pleasers and when you ask them to share testimonials or goal setting; they would be the first to give a rousing speech.
The problem becomes when all they do is talk, and tag along and give all kinds of excuses to justify their lack of results. You can’t depend on them but yet you can’t turn them away because they seem so sincere and have become one with the team.
One of the best ways to deal with them, since they like all the attention, is to get them to bring their friends to home parties or rallies or any events organized by the company that will give them lots of fun. They will forget that they are doing work while you build your friendship with their prospects.
Mr or Ms Know-it-all and Heard It Before
These are people who are very good analyzers and attend all the trainings and meetings. They write down every bit of information but don’t create results.
Because they are know-it-alls, they may give you a hard time when you are trying to educate them or coach them to success.
They may not attend trainings with open minds because they think, oh I’ve heard this before, they are not teaching me anything new here. They may even start criticizing the event or training speakers.
Training must be attended repeatedly so skills can be updated and reinforced. This type of person would most probably be making little money in their network despite their large storehouse of information.
The Snake
This group of people is the biggest poison in the network marketing industry. They will do whatever it takes to recruit people into their network. Even if it means using unethical methods to get them.
Some of the tactics include high-pressure hard selling, friendship blackmail and worst of all, line pinching.
Be very careful of these people when they are talking to your prospects. They will appear friendly and helpful, sharing with your prospects and welcoming them to the team, and the next thing you know it, they wind up in their downline.
They might even pick at your own existing downline and entice them to get into other MLMs that they are already a part of.
The Sloth
These people will act just like a sloth. They do nothing! They join MLM companies to purchase not a business opportunity, but to purchase hope.
The surprise they find is that MLM requires work.
They may attend all the meetings, rallies, home parties, reading all the books and listening to the tapes but will expect their uplines to do all of the network building for them. That is because there is one thing that he or she won’t do.
He or she will not see the people. They won’t get out there and talk to anyone. Instead of doing what they need to do to develop their business they sit back expecting their upline to do everything for them.
The Negotiator
When you approach someone with your opportunity and they are trying to sell you something at the same time, you might be facing a hard time if that person is adamant on selling you his wares or opportunity.
It’s not that you must avoid every single negotiator, but bear in mind that these people can be very calculating and will only join your network if his or her price is met. Then they might start pinching lines from your network and you will find that your people have gone over to the other side. Afterwards, it would be too late for you to remove that spy within your midst.
Other people in network marketing, especially the more established ones will take longer. You may need to keep contacting them over a couple of weeks or months before they are ready to join your team.

It’s no secret that the best form of advertising is word of mouth. Always has been and always will be. Even in today’s information age, where it’s nearly impossible to shield ourselves from the daily blaze of information coming at us through various media channels. Mass marketing communication has pervaded pretty much all areas of our lives, but still it lacks the power of good old word of mouth.
The direct selling and network marketing industries were built upon this foundation and both are thriving these days. One of the reasons for this is that as we are bombarded with mass communication messages, the value of a more personal message from a trusted source increases. Traditional companies are starting to pick up on this and are trying to implement programs to stimulate word of mouth by their existing customers.
For many companies this transition proves to be slightly more difficult than they anticipated - hardly a surprise to those that have been successful in that area. The approach to using good word of mouth advertising differs very much from regular advertising.
Even though there are many differences between regular marketing and word of mouth, there are also some important similarities. One of them is the power of the use of a third party. Of course it’s nice if you say how great your company is and how wonderful your products and services are. But that’s kind of like your mother saying you’re such a nice person.
It’s not that it’s not true. It’s just that the source isn’t considered to be very objective. A third party is. It doesn’t necessarily mean that the third party is completely objective but at least it’s considered to be at least more objective than your mother, or your company, or you.
In everything we do, we seem to have a natural tendency to follow the people around us or people we look up to. Since the latter aren’t always present we usually reside to the people around us. Another tendency most people have is to distrust the seller or at least question the truthfulness of what they’re saying. These two tendencies combined lead to a situation where almost all our purchases are driven largely by what the people around us say and think about certain products and services.
When the selling party advises you on a certain purchase he or she usually has an interest in making a sale and therefore may not be completely objective. When a neighbor gives you advice, you don’t worry about this and therefore you find it easier to trust him. Your neighbor just served as a third party.
We generally tend to like testimonials better than commercials, probably because they don’t involve hard selling, or at least not to the same extent. The impact of a good testimonial is a lot bigger than that of an advertisement. Especially when it is delivered by someone we know and respect. So the point is to find a third party that can endorse you or refer people to you - preferably someone that has credibility. This point is well understood by many network marketing companies.
After decades of aggressive growth this industry still deals with something of a credibility issue. Of course to anyone that has done their due diligence, the validity and opportunity of network marketing should be crystal clear. Unfortunately for many individuals in the industry, most prospects haven’t done their due diligence and wouldn’t even know where to begin. That’s where the importance of third party credibility comes in.
Some network marketing companies have earned endorsements from people that are widely recognized as successful and are using their influence to boost company growth. They know how people will react to an endorsement by a world famous millionaire or even billionaire; “If successful people like that say it’s OK, it probably is…” This phenomenon can be seen in every business, in every country and in every city.
The opinions of the movers and shakers in any area just seem to have more effect on people. The point is whether you’re in network marketing or in a traditional business, using third party credibility can greatly improve your results. Unfortunately very few people seem to actively use this strategy.
If you are in business for yourself you can at least see if you can take advantage of this. Get some testimonials from your existing customers, especially from those customers that seem to have some influence in the community.
Try to find out what kind of person would be good match for your prospective customers. Determine some characteristics and then search your existing customer base to see if you can find any people meeting these criteria. If you do, simply contact them and ask them if they would help you out by sharing their story. In most cases you won’t have to compensate them for this, but it wouldn’t hurt if you did a little extra to make it worth their while. After all, you’re asking them to help you out.
If you can’t find a suitable candidate amongst your existing customers, try the rest of your network. Perhaps you can find some people there that aren’t buying from you yet, but would be happy to become your customer and endorse you. In this case you would probably have to do a little more in the form of compensation to sway them.
Perhaps you could throw in a discount or provide a part or all of your service free of charge. Yes, this will cost you some money, but it’s probably a lot cheaper than running an ad in the local newspaper. And it will probably generate a lot more business for you.

Before the internet, MLM organizations and companies were protected by an information buffer zone which shielded them from this onslaught of people, opinions, competitors, and ads.
Its this buffer zone that allowed relationships to be built, skills to be learned, and loyalties to strengthened.
But the internet destroyed it in the blink of an eye.
It happens all the time…
You’re sitting pretty on top of a fairly large MLM or Network Marketing organization, you think you have finally found that “residual” pot of income gold at the end of the rainbow…
You’re making about $20,000 a month, you quit your job 5 months ago, bought a new house, that new sports car you’ve always wanted, and paid off all your debt.
Life is good…
Then one day, your MLM company changes their compensation plan just a little bit.
One of your leaders is NOT happy about it. They decide to move to another MLM company and with one click of a mouse, with one single email to his list of a few thousand recipients upline, downline and side-line, he basically destroys dozens of people’s businesses, cutting their checks in half or even worse. Including yours.
The income you’re relying on to pay the mortgage, invest for retirement, and put your kids through school literally vanishes overnight.
If something similar to this scenario hasn’t happened to you yet, it most likely will.
It’s a sobering thought when you realize that your lively hood in a MLM or Network marketing business is completely dependent upon strangers you’ve never met.
You don’t know their long-term plans. You don’t know about their family problems, and you don’t know what they’ll do next, yet your check is dependent upon them and thousands of others just like them because you simply cannot earn a full-time living on your own personal efforts with a MLM compensation plan. It’s not designed for that.
This wasn’t a problem in the past, but it is today.
You see, the internet is a tool that allows communication at a level that has never been seen by the world before, where opinions, rumors, promotions, and advertisements can now spread across the globe faster than you can blink your eye.
Massive revenues can be gained or lost in days for a company with nothing more than a well placed negative opinion report on the search engines.
MLM Downlines can be destroyed overnight by false rumors or leaders who jump ship.
MLM Distributors have instant access to an endless supply of tools, systems, leaders, training, opinions, and sales pitches which continuously plant seeds of doubt, and distract them with promises of better, faster, and easier.
Competing ads can be flaunted on the very door-step of a companys search engine results. And, Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about it.
The very moment your new MLM distributor feels frustration, feels trapped, feels failure, he or she will instantly open up to the endless supply of alternatives filling their inboxes on a daily basis with the very thing that will cure their pain and poof, they are gone.
There is no long-term commitment anymore because networkers are only as loyal as his or her options, and thanks to the internet, their options are now endless and one click away.
If you are a leader in the MLM or Network marketing industry, you know exactly what I am talking about and from this point forward, its never going to stop.
For better or worse, this is the new reality of Multi- Level Marketing.

In Internet network marketing, we need to be doing just 1 thing everyday to generate network marketing leads and get good at doing the things that are important without having to spend too much money, by leaving out guess work.
This means not having to worry about technical stuff which does not bring in money. Advertising and marketing are the main things which generate revenue. Revenue generating activities involve distributing website namecards, video marketing, classified ads.
Notice there was no mention of sales. Sales is not done by the reps, instead we use an auto responder to close the business. That’s the amazing thing of the 21st century and we should utilize this technology to build our wealth in our sleep.
When we start making 1 sale online, all we need to do is duplicate the system and teach this to everyone in the downline so that they too can earn 4 to 5 figures online simply by using the internet and a laptop.
Here’s what is used to convert network marketing leads without talking to anyone.
a) Website
Every member will have a website of their own. This is a website that belongs to the team and not the network marketing company. Everyone in the system are aware of the steps to take to build the business and sell the products. The website will also be loaded with methods the team uses to build the business with the internet. Most of the work is already done and the downline need not worry about html or how to set up an auto responder.
By leveraging on what is already existing, new non techy members can leave out the technical stuff and short cut their way to earning recurring income online.
b) The team’s Auto Responder
This auto responder normally belongs to the upline. In this way, the upline assists the downline with tips and tricks on succeeding in the business by email. Not only that, the auto responder allows through duplication of the system and everyone gains access to an automated sales man which closes sales on auto pilot. Additional tips can be also found in the back office, such as effective ads and avenues to advertise which bring in sales.
c) Email series with each affiliates embedded links
The magic of auto responders is that a single auto responder can be configured for every single team member. Amazing isn’t it? 1000 members can all benefit from a single auto responder so long as the team knows how to configure it for everyone’s success.
d) Other forms of income in the site
Other then the main network marketing business opportunity, other streams of income can also be added to the site. Network marketing leads that do not join the business, may be interested to purchase products that create wealth through other methods such as adsense and blogging. When they do, the members still get to earn a commission even though no one joined their business. This is called affiliate marketing which can be used to supplement the main network marketing income stream
By using such a system to convert network marketing leads, this allows a stress free network marketing experience. If you’re ready to use such a system to grow your network marketing business, check this out now http://www.myuam.com/x.cgi?id=480&a=t&tid=2

Network marketing is not easy, especially when you’re first starting out in the industry. It can be immensely frustrating trying, without success, to get that elusive first referral. So in this article I want to discuss how you can get your network marketing business off to a flying start.
To begin with you can target your warm market, ie your friends and family. This will certainly get your network marketing business going, but I don’t personally recommend going down this road, unless the people you enrol are serious about promoting the business. If they’re not completely committed then they will inevitably drop out of the program, leaving you back at square one.
The only time I personally like to bring my friends and family into my network marketing programs is when I know I can enrol many new members, who I can then place underneath them, earning them a nice income without too much effort. In addition, I will often conduct fully-fledged advertising campaigns that include their affiliate links, just to get their downline going, and to get them into profit as soon as possible.
The real test comes when you try to promote your program to people you don’t know, ie your cold market. In the long-term you should try and build your online presence through writing articles, creating a website or blog that promotes the program, and promoting that site through advertising and search engine optimization.
However, to start building your downline in the short-term, you basically need to promote your offer to as many people as possible. You want to reach a mass audience of people who may be interested in your product or program.
There are various ways of going about this. The first method of promotion, and one that I always use to start promoting my programs, is ezine advertising. By advertising in highly targeted ezines, you can immediately place your offer in front of potentially thousands of interested prospects. This can be highly effective, particularly if you use solo ads, because these are sent out separately from the ezine itself, meaning your email gets the readers’ undivided attention.
Another way of reaching a large audience is by posting comments on popular forums, relevant to the product or program that you are promoting. By this I don’t mean blatantly advertising your network marketing business, but instead including a link to it in the sig file, if the forum allows it. This is simply the short block of text that appears at the end of every message. You can use this to promote your own website or affiliate links. To get the most click-thrus, it’s not just a case of posting as much as possible, but providing good quality and informative comments, as this will lead to more people wanting to find out more about you and the programs that you are promoting.
These two methods mentioned above, ezine advertising and posting on popular forums, will immediately place your ad in front of a large targeted audience. There are also other online promotional methods you could use, such as traffic exchanges and safelists, although you have to remember that most of the people who will be viewing your ad will only be interested in promoting their own product or program.
That basically covers some of the many online methods you can use to start building your downline straight away. However, don’t forget that offline marketing can be just as effective as online marketing. For example, if you want to reach a mass audience offline, you could pay for newspaper and/or magazine advertising, or create business cards and flyers that you can then distribute to as many people as possible.
To summarise, there are various methods you can use to start building your downline straight away. You simply need to reach a large audience, whether it’s online or offline, and present them with an irresistible offer.
As a closing comment, if you can set yourself apart from the other promoters, then you will have even greater success building your downline. For example, you could offer free bonuses to people who sign up under you, or you could provide them with a duplicable system they can use to build their own downline.
James Woolley runs his own website dedicated to helping people make money online. He also heavily promotes network marketing programs. For more information click on the following link:

A lot of people would shy away when we start talking about home based business in network marketing for the simple reason that they dont want to sell goods and services. If you take a closer look into network marketing, you will find out that it does not necessarily mean peddling or offering goods and services to your friends or family members. In fact, network marketing is really a system of income sharing and cost sharing.
How does a home based business on network marketing work? Network marketing work by recruiting members who will use the product it is selling. The system is multi level where a person who becomes a member of the network can recruit a friend or a family member to register under his or her network. Every time the recruit purchases a product of the company, the recruiter gets a commission. The good thing about network marketing is that you do not only get a commission on your direct recruit but also on the purchases of your recruits recruit usually up to the fourth level. Some networking companies give commission up to the eight level of recruits which really is a big advantage if you have a wide network.
Many people have benefited from network marketing. People who set up home business in network marketing have succeeded in earning huge money from their networks. The key to success in the networking business is helping each other build a wide member base. A member who helps his or her recruit in recruiting more people would benefit and most likely enjoy the benefits of earning commissions from their recruits recruit so it is really a good idea to help each other.
There are many critics who would say that network marketing only makes the people on top of the network rich while those at the bottom will not get anything. Well, that is a matter of opinion. The system is really about pooling of resources by creating a network of consumers. If you build a network, not everybody could be on top at once but everyone will have a fair chance of making it to the top if one will work hard enough. A home based business in network marketing is created to function as a team business, meaning you help each other out. The structure is like a pyramid where the base is bigger than the top. As more people who are added to the base of the pyramid, those who are on the upper portion will be pushed to the top. Every time a line below the pyramid is added, the line above it will reach another level. The idea really is to help each other add more people at the base of the system so that you can reach the top. In effect, as you help those pe
