Using press releases (PR) is one of the greatest ways of marketing your website and Internet business. It gives you backlinks, it gets the word out about you in an exciting and informative way, and if you write the PR piece correctly you will never come off as just marketing a product or service; rather, you’ll simply make headlines, and people are very attracted to newsworthy stories.
PR pieces that are well-written really capture people’s attention. Some PR websites require a fee for you to publish there, while others are free. Generally speaking, the paid-for sites give better exposure. They are sites that journalists, bloggers, researching writers, and website owners looking to add or link to interesting content for a new post all frequent.
PR pieces are also a great way of making yourself quotable. You should include quotes from yourself or from someone authoritative about the topic in a PR piece whenever possible. This lends your piece an air of authority and authenticity. A great quote can spread like wildfire on the Internet and really generate a lot of interest in you as a person, which is the best way of generating interest in your business.
A PR piece should follow a specific format and formula to be successful. First, begin with a catchy headline (title). Remember, this should sound like a newspaper headline and be quite informative but punchy at the same time. Read some front page headlines to get a feel for how yours should sound.
Next you may want to consider writing a catchy summary of your article to appear just below the headline. But this is optional.
Your next step is to give a “dateline”. This is where you write the location where the story is generated–it may be the World Wide Web–and the date, written out in full (So, for instance, July 14, 2008). This is followed by a long dash, and then you want to write a sentence that really grabs the reader’s attention but, again, sounds like news and not like one of those midway-hawker online marketing splash pages. This opening sentence should contain very relevant and important information and compel the reader to feel like she’s about to learn something very important if she continues reading. If you need it to be so, feel free to make this sentence quite long (but be sure it’s not a fragment or a run-on).
Most important about that opening sentence is that it’s powerful WITHOUT sounding even remotely like a sales pitch and that it’s chock-full of vital information that makes the reader desire to read more. One of the best ways to achieve this is to open with “[Yourself, your business, or the producer of a product you are promoting] today announced that [latest and greatest event, such as the launching of a hot new product].”
Next, proceed to outline everything someone should know about the newest event. Use straightforward language always, not overly-emotional or hyped. Try to remember your essay-writing classes from high school or college. Save anything emotional for a direct quote from you or someone authoritative like a product producer.
Finally, at the bottom of the PR piece include a brief, informative summary about you or your product, and then follow it up with Contact Information with a link to your website. Go to a site such as “PR Newswire” or “Marketwire” to see models.

If you have a website and market a product or service, or just want to get more traffic to your content site, then you have one thing in mind- traffic. One of the best ways to get traffic to your site is by using blogs to post articles related to your topic. This method is so effective because the big search engines out there love blogs because of their fresh and new content. The most important part about blogging to generate traffic is in optimizing the content of the blogs, a process that is easy to master and can prove very beneficial to your website.
The big search engines absolutely love blogs, especially WordPress. This particular service allows you to setup as many free blog sites as you want, and Google loves it. The search engines index blogs quickly and often and, if you choose to take the extra step in keyword optimizing the content on your blog, then you are going to attract a lot of attention. Make sure you always include a carefully crafted backlink to drive people to your actual sales or content page and you will begin receiving traffic in no time.
Blogging has many aspects that make it an effective marketing tool. Because the popular blog suppliers are so highly ranked themselves in the search engine page rankings, everything they are associated with (linked to) gets spidered and indexed as well. Also, the search engines love all of the new and fresh content that is circulated on such sites, causing them to hang around and spider and index their (your) blogs more often. In addition to sustained traffic generation, if you select your tags and popular keywords carefully, you may also see sudden urges of traffic. All of this traffic can then be directed to your sales or content sites, delivering you the success you want.
Blogs are very popular and easy to maintain, as the website portion is already taken care of and all you have to do is add useful content. Products such as Microsoft Office 2007 also make it easy to update blogs, as you can choose new blog post, type it up and, by adding your login info, it can seamlessly integrate your new content into the blog. This is pretty powerful stuff, considering the value of such sites. With blogs you can add posts as often as you like. Obviously, the more you post, the better for the site, but you can find your own friendly medium and watch the site grow.
Another great way to get attention to your blog is to post comments on other, related blogs. By posting on other niche blogs, you can include a signature file that links to your blog or main site. Once you have that down, the best way to create traffic through blogs is to have multiple blogs on different niches. Each site can be optimized for a different keyword, all pertaining to your main site or product. You can use each blog to promote for that keyword only and then find a way to funnel all traffic to your main site and product pages. This is the power behind blog marketing and can be very effective in creating the success you desire.

Did you know that you can browse blogs and forums your target market reads for about an hour a week and be marketing your business? You can!
First, find blogs and forums that attract your target market. The topic should generally be related to your business in some way, but probably not published by a direct competitor. The objective in selecting these sites is that your actual or prospective customers are reading them on a regular basis.
Next, read through recent entries to find posts where you have something useful to add to the conversation - preferably on a topic that’s directly relevant to your business.
Your goal in your comments is to be as helpful as possible. You want to do more than add a comment just agreeing with someone else or making a generic comment. You want to use your business expertise to assist the readers. The benefit of doing this is that people reading these sites will begin to see you as knowledgeable in your area and may choose to check you out further.
When you add a comment to a blog post, you’ll have a hotlink on your name that points back to your site. Forums often allow you to create a signature containing your site address that’s automatically included at the end of each post you make. Not only do these links help readers find your site, they may also help you build additional links back to your site that search engines see and value.
The more links to your site that exist - especially from ‘popular’ sites - the better your organic (non-paid) search engine rankings will be.
Note that some blogs will have the ‘nofollow’ tag set on their comments. This tag tells search engine spiders not to give the commenter credit for the link to his site. Blog publishers do this to discourage spam comments that have only the goal of getting links back to a site and not providing anything of value to the websites they were posted to.
While adding quality comments to blogs not using the ‘nofollow’ tag will help you with both readers clicking through to your site as well as search engine rankings, you don’t need to avoid the blogs that do use this tag. As long as you’re adding valuable comments, readers will click through to your site, and that’s who you’re trying to attract, right?
Also, the ‘nofollow’ tag does not stop search engines from following the link, it just prevents any of the weight being carried from that page to the page it is linked to; the search engine spiders still do follow the links.
I use a tool called Comment Kahuna (http://www.commentkahuna.com/) to find relevant blog pages by using keywords I specify. It will show me which blogs use the ‘nofollow’ tag so I can decide whether or not to post comments to them or only to ones without it. I can specify the minimum page rank of each blog page and how many results I want.
Once the program returns the results, I can go to each page to decide if I want to add a comment. If so, the system will auto-fill my name, email address, and web site URL and I’m ready to add a comment. If not, I can tell the program to skip this blog and move on to the next one. I can stop at any time and the system can pick up where I left off next time.
The best part about this tool is that it’s free, so give it a try!
There’s another tool available for finding relevant blog pages, Fast Blog Finder (http://www.fastblogfinder.com). It’s features are similar to Comment Kahuna, but it adds a few, such as displaying the page rank of each domain and page found. You can download a free trial and upgrade to the Gold version if you like it.
For finding appropriate forum threads, I use another free tool called BotSurfer. With this tool, you must find a list of relevant forums and input their URLs into the tool. It will then find threads within these forums that contain the keywords you specify.
To find relevant forums, just go to Google or Yahoo and type in your keyword topic: Online forum + Keyword
You can find this tool at BotSurfer (http://www.articlemarketer.com/affiliate_forum3b.php). Check out the forum posting tutorial links at the left, too. While they’re oriented toward affiliates of Article Marketer, the principles are applicable to anyone wanting to use forums to attract visitors to her business.
It goes without saying (I hope!) that you shouldn’t post comments to blogs or forums that are just links to your site. They will be considered spam, almost certainly be removed, and may cause you to be banned from the site.
I put aside about an hour each week to comment on blogs and forums. You obviously could spend much, much more time doing this, but remember this is just one of your marketing strategies and don’t get too carried away!
Give this technique a whirl and over time you’ll see the results yourself.

Social Media sites are basically communities where like minded people gather to share information and experiences. They are viewed everyday by massive numbers of people and these same people actually generate the content for these sites. These sites are growing in importance because they contain information users find interesting, timely and informative and they are becoming a target for Internet Marketers who see them as an untapped reservoir of potential clients.
The top five Social Media websites in terms of Inbound Links, Google Page Rank, Alexa Rank, and U.S. traffic data from Compete and Quantcast are lead by MySpace. MySpace is a popular social networking website offering an interactive, user-submitted network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music and videos for people internationally.
It is one of the most successful sites in recent years, amassing 124 million profiles and has transformed life online since its launch. MySpace is one of the most visited sites in the world and it’s introducing a huge number of people to content syndication and they allow millions of people around the world to publish to the web for the first time.
It is by far the dominant social network in the US and is at an all time high in terms of audience reach and engagement according to both comScore and Neilsen. Coming in second is Wikipedia. Wikipedia is booming in terms of visitors and contributors. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, for the most part written by the masses and therefore should be viewed accordingly.
It is meant to be a starting point, a place to go for basic information and therefore it’s like any encyclopedia, a place to begin your research but not a place to end it. Wikipedia is full of information, but this doesn’t mean that it’s all reliable information. Wikipedia is a good example of the new Web 2.0 and is a fine first step to get the basics quickly, especially for technology and pop culture related questions.
It’s a wonderful resource if you use your own judgment and don’t always believe what you read. It is supported by a non-profit organization and exists to serve information in an open platform. Anyone can edit it and, of course, this opens it up for all the issues and inaccuracies that come with an open platform. However, Wikipedia is a wonderful resource and often provides excellent summaries and detailed articles.
In third place we have YouTube. YouTube is a video sharing website where users can upload, view and share video clips. Founded in February 2005, and based in San Mateo, California, they specialize in showing short videos created by everyday people. YouTube is a consumer media company for people to watch and share original videos worldwide through a Web experience.
It is the most popular site to visit for viewing online videos, sharing your favorite videos and for commenting on what you’ve seen. A slightly newer feature of YouTube is the ability to send invitations to people through email by using the “Invite Your Friends” feature.
In fourth place we have Facebook. According to Wikipedia: “Facebook is a social networking website launched on February 4, 2004. The free-access website is privately owned and operated by Facebook, Inc. Users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region to connect and interact with other people. People can also add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profile to notify friends about themselves.”
Finally, at number five we have Photobucket. Photobucket is a photo-sharing and hosting site owned by News Corp. Photobucket is a photo and video tool that could become an online warehouse for the storage of digital media.
It is the Web’s most popular creative focal point, with nearly 40 million unique users around the world linking billions of personal photos, graphics and videos daily to hundreds of thousands of websites. It’s a tool that allows users to host images for use on social networking, e-commerce, gaming and blogging sites.
These sites are all about shared experiences and are based on the technology of Web 2.0. Social media sites are where people come together online to interact, share experiences and make friends. When formulating your Social Media Marketing strategy these five sites are the ones to target in order to make your presence known in the social media network and to drive this traffic to your website. They are the new wave online and it’s a wave which doesn’t appear to be going out anytime soon.

Having a home business involves coordinating every aspect of the business. From writing the content to advertising the website and product to using marketing schemes to help generate home business traffic, you have complete control over how your business does. While there are many important facets to running a home business, none seem to matter unless you’re reeling in the customers. So how can you go about increasing your home business website traffic?
There are a number of things you can do to help generate a high home business traffic volume. The content that you produce can certainly increase your chances of bringing in more customers. You have to look at your website and ask yourself,”If I were a customer, would the content interest me?” There are hundreds of thousands of people on the internet today with their own websites, so what makes your content worth reading?
In order to increase your home business website traffic, you have to make sure the content you present is clear and precise. Time is money in the internet industry, so don’t waste your time producing content that will simply waste the reader’s time.
Another thing to consider when writing your content is the type of content you produce. A majority of the content on the internet is repetitive and similar to each other. Think of the type of home business traffic you could generate if you were to produce fresh and enticing copy. By presenting your readers with content they haven’t seen yet, you are bound to get return visitors and you will also climb higher on the search engines.
Once you have put together content you believe is worthy of your reader’s time, you have to promote your business. Putting together a solid advertising and marketing campaign is crucial to generating a high home business traffic volume. Whether it is paying to be on the top of specific keywords on Google Ads or continuously posting in forums, you have to have a plan. Also, the more variations you have to your marketing campaign, the more versatile and capable of bringing in traffic from various paths you will be.
The last tip to help you increase your home business website traffic is to treat your customers like human beings. It is easy to get blinded in the internet industry by our computer screens and forget that we’re dealing with human beings. Taking the time to develop relationships and encounter your business firsthand will go a long way.
As you can see, there is a lot to increasing your home business website traffic. By using a combination of all the tips listed above, you will begin to generate home business traffic fairly quickly. You have to be patient though because the more advertising you do, the more people will see it.

If you are ready to bring profits from your business home, internet marketing promotion success is a definite must. After all, if you are not able to creatively turn web browsers into visitors to your site who may then become buyers you will fail to generate profits for your home business; internet marketing promotion is essentially the way to go when you want to reap the most profits.
Yet have you ever wondered how to create and then run a successful advertising campaign that will not only generate a lot of sales, but that will permit you to bring the profits of your business home - internet marketing promotion is after all somewhat costly at times, but there are less costly ways to promote rather than putting your money into the pockets of professional advertisers.
Internet marketing is the key to successfully spreading the word of your home business. Promotional sales, and even contests are only some of the ways to do it. Another way is to allocate a certain portion of your budget for one or two high power advertisements with online giants, and an equal chunk for placing ads with a large number of affiliates who will place your ads on their pages. The latter is just as effective as the former, especially considering that many of the webmasters have their own loyal following of friends and families who want to see their sites succeed. Here are 5 high powered ways to increase your traffic:
1. Trade links with other web sites. They should be related to the subject of your web site. Instead of
trading links, you could also trade banner ads, half page ads, classified ads, etc.
2. Start an e-zine for your web site. When people read each issue they’ll be reminded to revisit your
web site. They’ll see your product ad more than just once which will increase your orders.
3. Form an online community. It could be an online message board, e-mail discussion list or chat room. When people get involved in your community they will regularly return to communicate with others.
4. Write articles and submit them to e-zines, web sites and magazines that accept article submissions. Include your business information and web address
at the end of the article.
5. Give away an electronic freebie with your ad on it. Allow your visitors to also give the freebie away. This’ll increase your ad exposure and attract people to your web site at the same time.
By relying heavily on these methods alone you will not only be able to bring earnings from your business home, internet marketing promotion ideas will actually put your name into the forefront of those who are looking for your products! After all, with consistency and time you will soon be able to generate powerful and highly creative marketing campaigns, whereas your creativity will be seriously hampered with the corporate giants who are far less flexible; therefore, smaller is indeed better!

No matter what changes major search engines make in the future they will always value the quality of web site content. Visitors and search engines thrive on content-rich web sites, but just having a lot of content on your site may not be enough to hold visitor interest. Therefore, your online objective should be Search Engine Friendly information that site visitors can use.
I’m sure you are aware that rich content alone is not all of what search engines use to favour web sites. Yes, you’re right, back links also play a major role in page popularity. And what’s the best way to get back links? You’re right again, content… This is not the content on your web site it’s external content that links back to your site.
No matter which way you choose to add more traffic to your site content will always be at the root cause. The reason content increases traffic to your web site is because everyone on the Internet is searching for information. This information exists in many forms including:
. Articles
. Blogs
. Classified Ads
. e-Mail
. Pay Per Click Ads
. Newsletters
. Press Releases
All of these external content types are opportunities to link visitors back to your web site. Develop a Web content plan for your marketing campaign that includes some or all of the above content types, and within a few weeks you’ll see a noticeable increase in traffic.
Keeping Visitors at Your Site Longer:
Pre-selling, very simply, is the art of leading a web site visitor, who is more encouraged to buy after being comforted by a relationship with the words on your sales page. The goal above was to increase traffic to your web site via strategically placed content. Now, you’ll find out what type of content visitors want to see at your web site.
To learn what visitors want, ask their opinion (directly or indirectly) and find out what they really need from your web site, so you can adapt your content accordingly. When a search engine spider indexes your web site it automatically searches your meta tags and web site content for information. And that is what you want visitors to do, stay long enough to find the information they are looking for.
Note: Internet surfers can tell in seconds if you’re advertising to them in your web site content. It’s better to ease the reader into the call to action instead of jumping in there face selling. Here’s how you can make your web site sell less obviously: First thing to consider is the headline, it should speak out loud grabbing the attention of the reader making them want to read on. That’s the absolute minimum content your web site must have to help sell your product or service.
Additionally, relevant key words and phrases can be related to content about your town and neighborhood, the local schools and shopping and cultural events. So, stop struggling with what to say and start using prewritten content; content such as letters, web site pages, real estate marketing reports, brochures, flyers, mailers, etc. As a result you’ll convert more search engine traffic into sales as you add content built around keywords visitors use to find your site.

Pay Per Click (PPC) is an advertising method that can be used to promote your website. By placing a PPC ad, you are paying the search engines to bring traffic to your website. You, the advertiser, pay a “cost per click” each time a person clicks on your ad. This cost is determined by the amount you bid for each keyword associated with your ad. You place an ad using the keywords you want to reference to your website, and place a bid on those keywords for placement rank. The higher the bid, the higher rank you can obtain in the search engine for placement of your ad. When a person searches for your keyword, your ad will appear in the search results. Each time your ad is clicked on, you are charged the amount that you bid on for the word being searched.
There are several PPC search engines. The most popular ones in the US these include:
. Google
. Yahoo
. MIVA
. Kanoodle
. LookSmart
. Lycos
. goClick
. Enhance
. Searchfeed
. ePilot
. Search123
. 7Search
In the UK these include:
. MIVA UK
. Mirago
When you place your PPC ad campaign with one the search engines, be sure the keywords that you use are the same as the primary keywords used in your website. You also want the keywords to be the same as those in the title of your ad. Use very targeted keywords. Do not bid on every word that you think might relate to your site. While this may attract additional traffic to your site, it will not be the targeted traffic that you want. You want your ad to bring traffic to your site that will convert into a sale. By placing your ad using targeted keywords, you will be bringing potential customers to your site and not visitors. Since you are paying each time someone clicks on your ad, you don’t want to pay for visitors.
It is also advantageous to place more than one ad campaign for your site. The second ad campaign would contain targeted keywords that were different from the ones used in the first ad campaign. This way, you can run a comparison of the two ad campaigns to see which one works the best and which keywords are being searched for most often. If you find that only a few keywords in each ad campaign are being searched for, you can always take those keywords that are targeted the most and put all those words in one ad campaign. This will save you time in the long run as you will then only have to keep tabs on one ad campaign for your website.
The cost of PPC can become very expensive very quickly. This cost can be controlled, however, by setting a limit on the amount that you tell the search engines you are willing to pay per day for your ad campaigns. You can also control the amount of clicks by only using targeted keywords related to your website.
If used properly, PPC is a great way to get targeted traffic to your website. Just make sure your ad campaigns are set up to use the same keywords that your website is optimized for. When you set up an ad campaign, the search engine will crawl your website. If the keywords in your ad campaign are different from those in your website, you will have a higher bid rate. Don’t run one ad campaign with 100’s of keywords. Run two or more ad campaigns using a smaller number of targeted keywords.
The search engines are constantly changing their rules and guidelines. Be sure to keep current with all the changes and adjust your ad campaigns accordingly.

Blogging is a great way to obtain traffic to your site. It can also be a way of obtaining free traffic if you choose one of the sites that offer free blogs. By maintaining a blog, you can increase your exposure on the internet.
One method of bringing traffic to your blog is by writing high quality articles. These articles should have unique content and should relate to the product that your are promoting. Another method would be to post other people’s articles but be aware that then you run the risk of having duplicate content on your blog. By writing your own articles, you do not have to worry about the risk of duplicate content, because you will have content unique to your site. You will rank higher in the search engines by having high quality unique content on your blog.
You also should submit your articles to the article directories to give your blog increased exposure for the search engines. Be sure to put a resource box at the end of your articles. The resource box should include your name and your website or blog URL. By adding the resource box to your article, when your article is used it increases your exposure and thereby increases traffic to your site or blog.
You can also write a review of the affiliate product, ebook or program that your are promoting. The review should include the primary features of the product, the benefits of the product, and any problems or glitches in the product. When you report any problems with the product, you are showing your that you are reliable and honest. This increases your credibility and shows that you have knowledge of the product, and that you can be depended on. People are more inclined to buy from a person that they trust and respect.
Blogs that are updated regularly with new and fresh content can show a higher ranking in the search engines because the search engines absolutely love new content and sites that are updated frequently. Make sure the content is pertinent to your site and has quality content. Each time you add new content to your site or blog, it will be crawled by the search engines.
Another method of getting traffic is by getting inbound links to your blog. Writing and submitting articles to the article directories is a good way to start the links because your resource box is in each article. Another way is to visit other blogs and post comments and insert your blog or website URL in your signature file. If you have other blogs, you can place links in those to each of those as well. Just post the link to your blog or website to as many locations as possible and that exposure will bring traffic to your site.
By keeping your content updated and new, creating links back to your blog or website, getting good ratings with the search engines, and building and maintaining a good relationship with your customers, you will have traffic coming to your blog or website.
If you use a free blog account, all this will cost you is a little time and effort on your part. This means free traffic for you.

There a several ways that you can send traffic to your website from eBay. Before using any of these ways, be sure to check eBay’s policy for changes so you do not violate their policy.
One way to obtain traffic to your website through eBay is by using graphics or images hosted on your server. There are many commercial and free services you can use. You can also upload your graphics or images to eBay’s servers. However, visibility from the search engines will be greatly increased by using your own servers. The search engines can follow the links in your eBay listing to your website. Some search engines will also display messages in their status bar as to where the images are being loaded from. For example it might say “Loading Image From http://www.ABCDEF.com” or “Waiting For http://www.ABCDEF.com”. This is great exposure for your website.
When you register your account with eBay, use an email address that is associated with your website. For example, if your website is “http://www.ABCDEF.com”, you could use “sales@www.ABCDEF.com” as the email address associated with your eBay account. You can list this email address in the text of your listing only if it is the same one you used to register your account. This is in addition to the “Ask The Seller A Question” link.
The user id associated with your eBay account can also be a great way to direct traffic to your website. Even though eBay policy does not allow you to use your website address as your eBay id or user name, you can use a form of the website address. If your website is “http://www.ABCDEF.com”, you could use ABCDEF as your eBay user name.
Probably, one of the best ways to drive traffic to your website or internet store from eBay is by using an About Me Page. While you cannot offer non-eBay listings or merchandise on the About Me page, you can add a link to your website or internet store. eBay’s policy states that you cannot have the same identical item in your auctions as you have on your website either at the same price or at a different price. You can also not link to trading sites or other auction sites, or offer merchandise or information not permitted on eBay, or a website that offers items from several sellers. What you may do is link to your own website or internet store where you have items to trade, sell or purchase. Again, used correctly, this is a great way to use eBay to drive traffic to your website or internet store.
Trying one of these methods is sure to help drive traffic to your website or internet store. Remember to following eBay’s policy. Read their policy very carefully and check on it periodically for changes. Ignorance of their policy is not an excuse eBay accepts. If you violate their policy repeatedly, you will be banned from eBay.

Whether you are an affiliate marketer, or have a website or an online store, blogs can be a fantastic way to draw traffic and people interested in your product. Blogs that are updated on a regular basis with informative content are spidered by the search engines more frequently. If the search engines like the content on your blog, your page rank will increase. As your page rank increases, the likelihood of your site being at the top of the search results also increase. The higher you are listed in the search engines, the easier your site or blog easier to find which means more traffic.
The search engines spiders love new, unique and informative content. If your site is updated regularly, the site will be visited more often by the search engine spiders. Sites that have content that is informative and full of pertinent information will obtain a higher position in the search engine results and these sites are usually indexed much faster. Since blogs are content driven, the search engines will send more traffic to them. This traffic can produce more sales and sales produce greater profits.
One of the great things about a blog is that it is very easy to use. There is no more converting text to HTML and no more uploading to a server. With a blog, you can post new content with a few clicks of your mouse. If you can cut and paste, you can blog. This makes it easy to keep your content new and fresh for the search engine spiders to enjoy. What’s more, there are a lot of blogging sites on the internet that are free. You can’t beat free traffic being driven to your blog or website.
To keep your content unique and fresh, you can write your own articles, write reviews on affiliate products or programs, or you can use outsourced content. Which ever you decide to use, make sure it is high quality and informative. By regularly adding new content to your blog that is unique and informative, you make your site far more “sticky” increasing the likelihood of it being visited by return visitors. That return traffic means more potential sales for you.
There are many ways you can use your blog. You can use your blog to direct traffic to a website or an online store. You can even direct your visitor to an eBay auction or eBay store. You can have your visitor sign up for email announcements of when you add new content to your blog. If you are an affiliate, you can also have them sign up for announcements of new products that they might be interested in.
Always keep your content in mind. They say content in king, but unique and informative content is KING.

The answer’s out. There’s dough to be made online. Well, blamelessly, that’s not new to a lot of people; the information’s been out for some time. Despite that admitted fact, there are still millions of subjects who’ve heard the news but haven’t seen the cash. So, what’s the secret? How do you really make currency through the internet? The answer’s the same as it is in the bricks and mortar world - you have to know how to sell.
The Internet hasn’t changed the basic major premise of making a profit, it’s only added a new layer of opportunities. That’s because, other than misconduct, the only way profit changes hands is if a willing buyer meets a willing seller. And that will never change.
So what’s so harmful about making money online? For one thing, it’s too uncomplicated to get started. Back in the pre-online days you had to make a substantial investment of time and dough to open up your own corporation. Now, anyone despite a spare twenty bucks can rent some server space and throw up an online site in a day or less. And that’s the problem.
You see, too many the people get hold of doing organization on the internet from the wrong prospective. It’s not a matter of “build it and they will come”; the Internet is far to crowded with web sites selling products and services for the community sentiment of shopping online to be novel anymore.
Big companies, despite years and years of off-line selling experience, are competing for the same customers and the same dollars that you are. Given that they have all of this experience, and all of this money to spend, who do you expect is going to come out the winner?
Genuinely, it’s not going to be you unless you know how to convince. Once you master the art of selling you stand a better chance of grabbing some of that profit the people are spending with the big boys. And, believe me, you can fill your bank account to overflowing just with the crumbs that fall off of the big retailer’s tables.
Here’s my news. if you really want to make profit on the internet. Learn how to sell. Learn how to dangle an offer that’s so enticing that customers will go out of their way to find out more. Then, once you know how to get their attention, learn how to close the sale. Then you’ll join those men and women who have heard the news AND who have seen the funds!

If you use eBay as a means of generating income, you want to have more than one eBay account. Yes, eBay does allow multiple accounts. The only requirement that eBay has regarding multiple accounts is that each account have a different email address. This could change, so be sure to keep current with eBay policy.
By having multiple eBay accounts, you can set up one account to buy from and one account to sell from. When you do this, you are protecting your seller’s account from negative feedback.
How does this protect you from negative feedback? Let’s say you make a purchase on your buyer’s account and the product is defective. You contact the seller and he is less than cooperative. Sound familiar? You can leave negative feedback for this seller without fear of them leaving bad feedback for you and it affecting your seller’s account. Why? Because you didn’t use your seller’s account. You used your buyer’s account.
You can also have several eBay accounts that you sell from. Design each account around a different niche. By doing this, you can become an “expert” in each niche. You can generate a lot of extra money by having more that one niche that you sell in.
Design your About Me Page around each niche. You can earn more in back end sales when you are seen as an expert. Set up a website around each of your eBay niche accounts. You can direct traffic from your About Me Page to your websites. Just be absolutely certain that the items you sell on your website are not the identical items you are selling on your eBay auctions. That is against eBay policy.
For example, if you are selling digital cameras on one of your eBay accounts, you could sell accessories for digital cameras on your website. You can have another eBay account set up to sell pet supplies, and direct them to your website might be selling pet food. You could also have a website that offered affiliate products related to your eBay auction. As long as it is not the same item that is in your auction.
eBay always has the right to shut an account down. eBay can also impose a “black-out” of your account. If you unintentionally violate policy and your seller’s account is shut down, it could cost you a lot of money in lost sales.
By having more than one eBay account, you have certain amount of protection. You can move over to one of your other accounts and start selling from it. This eliminates the need to start with zero feedback.
Please be aware that even if you have several accounts and you violate eBay policy, this will not protect you. If eBay closes one account they will search for other accounts using your IP address or name and could close them also.
Always keep current on eBay policy. They can change anything at any time. Ignorance of a policy change is not an acceptable excuse if you commit a violation.
The moral here is to never, ever violate eBay policy.

Internet marketing is basically very, very simple.
Let’s look at it logically. We have a gazillion and one prospects, some “killer” products and all we need is something like 0.00000000001%, (or whatever - I’m no statistician), of these gazillion and one prospects to become clients before we head for the gentle waves swirling around our toes in some tropical paradise - right?
It seems to be that the thing to do nowadays is to set up a blog or 3, write articles and wait for the cash.
I am willing to bet there are so many well meaning folk who actually believe they are working hard and just can’t understand why they are not earning a buck. These same folk have a heap, and I mean a real ton, (or is that tonne nowadays?), of relevant and quite involved technical knowledge about marketing online that they have taught themselves.
They have set up websites, blogs, link directories, more websites with stunning graphics, adsense sites, more adsense sites, scripts that build links, scripts that build sites, scripts that update sites, scripts that write articles, scripts that change articles, scripts to submit articles, scripts that, well, do everything I guess. And still not one dime, penny, yen, baht or renminbi is travelling in the right direction.
So why is this? People tend to blame everybody and everything for their failures but the root problem is with themselves. A total denial that perhaps they are wrong. If the whole point is to make money and it’s not happening then their strategy has to be wrong. Time for a re-think perhaps?
People will generally shirk away from the more difficult things in life. This is human nature but expanding your comfort zones is essential in a new career.
Building quality targeted traffic to your website is all important. In fact targeted traffic is what it’s all about but hardly anybody REALLY focuses on this vital aspect. The number of “How Can I Get Traffic To My Website?” questions you see on the forums are incredible. People spend thousands upon thousands of bucks on software and ebooks and still they don’t get any traffic.
They are more focused on what Google PR their website has been assigned. People are utterly obsessed with Google. If you had a PR of zero and were making 20 sales a month at $50 who cares what PR you have. Obviously there is huge room for improvement but an extra grand a month isn’t too bad really!
People will not spend the money on essential software like trackers for some reason. This is a vital tool in our Webmasters toolbox. They have no real idea how many visitors they are getting apart from the free hit counter placed on one or two of their pages.
Wise Up Please. If we don’t know where the traffic is coming from, what search terms and entry / exit pages are being used then we do not have control of our business.
Try The Following And Trust Me This Works: (I’ve done this myself on more than 1 occasion testing different sites)
Write 5 articles on keyphrases that are searched for and place them on your website at the top level - don’t bury the pages and keep them natural, no keyword stuffing. Use your keyphrases in the title and, well basic SEO stuff OK? Don’t submit them to article directories just yet as this is a test. Wait about 3 - 5 days and check the results on your tracker.
You may not have a lot of visitors but you will almost certainly have been indexed by minor search engines who are sending you traffic. What this demonstrates is that your pages are starting to be indexed on the Net and you are actually receiving traffic.
Now, take this a step further and set up a blog, apply simple off-page SEO, post to your blog regularly then submit your blog to the blog and RSS directories. Build external links through forum posts, article submissions and so on.
Now We Come To The Crunch. Why is it that people are failing if it’s that simple?
The above is a fairly simplistic and generalized overview of the methods involved. A more definite structure is obviously needed for an Internet business but how many people will actually complete even the basic, simple tasks outlined above?
Now consider how many people will progress this and do the above tasks consistently every day of the week? There are a number of 30, 60 or 90 day guides available for setting up an Internet business but the work is intense and continuous in the beginning.
People are just playing at being in business on the Internet. Deep down most folk expect to buy something, press a button and everything is done for them. An Internet business is not an easy option to the day job but in reality requires long hours of mentally hard and continuous work following proven strategies.

Traffic on the freeway is bad. Traffic on the Internet is good. With over 80 million web sites on the Net, you need a solid strategy for driving prospects to your web site.
Search Engines
Search engines are the yellow pages for a home business web site. Over 80% of Internet surfers use search engines to find information on the web. To get the most traffic to your site, list with the big search engine players Yahoo, Google, and MSN. Smaller search engines also get results from the big three so you’ll be covered in case customers visit less popular engines.
Looking Good
Your web site can be simple or complex but it must be functional and attractive. Make sure your site does what it is supposed to do - provide customers with concise, useful information about your product or service. Be wary of making things too complicated. The site should be easy to navigate or customers will look elsewhere.
Your web site should also look professional, not cheap. If you aren’t design savvy, spend money on a good web designer. The investment will pay off by attracting more people to your web page.
On-line Ads
The Internet has many sites where you can list your web site for free. To guarantee the greatest exposure, place your ad on several (20 or more) sites and repeat the process every month.
Banner advertisements can be as effective as TV spots in increasing customer awareness of your business. A banner ad should be direct, i.e. promote a benefit of rather than just the name of the product or service. Try participating in a banner exchange program such as LinkExchange that connects your home business web site to other company sites that have similar customer bases.
Affiliate programs offer an excellent opportunity to promote your web site. Affiliate businesses post links to your web page on their sites. You pay them a commission or set fee based on the amount of traffic sent to your web site. Pay arrangements vary and can be based on the number of people who visit your site or the number of customers who purchase your product.
Bloggin’ It
Bloggers are the hot new information medium. Getting them to write about your home business web site is an excellent way to gain exposure to potential customers.
Technorati Blog Directory provides a listing of blogs by industry. Do your research here to determine which blogs might be interested in writing about your business. Send a short, personal email to a few blog writers describing your web site and asking the blogger to write about it. Offer the writer something in return, for example, free product or a link back to his blog on your web site.
In short getting visibility for your website is a key part of your overall online marketing strategy.

Recently, I read several complaints by marketers who had tried using sites like My Space and other social networking sites to market their businesses.
They complained that these sites didn’t really bring them any real traffic, and they really weren’t making sales by using these sites.
In essence, these sites were a waste of time to market on because they didn’t produce any immediate marketing results.
As someone who uses My Space, as well as several other networking sites to market my business, I believe that these marketers missed the point.
Blatant marketing on these sites won’t work. Your approach has to be far more subtle. Your goal should be something different: increase your presence on the internet, build backlinks from a major traffic site, and build your brand so that potential customers find you.
1. Increasing your presence on the internet
This is especially important if you are new to marketing your products and services on the internet. You have to build a presence, and a big one, if you want to be found by your market.
“Build it and they will come” is the mantra of those who are so overcome by their egos they think their sites will be found without any marketing effort at all.
Successful marketers know this isn’t true. You have to get out there and promote yourself if you want to sell your products and services.
Because social networking sites are high traffic, you have a better chance of being found if you get out there and build a presence.
2. Building backlinks
The search engines are constantly spidering these sites. Want to get your site spidered? Then building a profile on these sites will help the search engines find you and then ultimately, your customers can find you.
Remember, though, don’t blatantly sell on these sites. Create a profile that tells everyone about you and your products or services. Include links to your website, or if you have more than one site, all of your sites.
Make your profile keyword rich with keywords from your topic.
3. Branding yourself
Whether you are a writer, or you are simply selling your own products and services, you will need to resort to shameless promotion if you want to make the sale.
When you brand yourself, you are attaching yourself to a specific topic. You become an expert on the topic.
Writing articles and posting them on your blog on these social networking sites can help others become aware of your products and services.
This builds value, and by contributing to these sites, you are not only building value for them, you are building value for you.
What’s key is to use a soft sell approach. Establish your credibility and expertise. Get others to trust you and believe in your products. Then you will make the sale.

In the previous article, we discussed how blogs can help you generate traffic for your main website. But what if you don’t have another site? Or what if you want your blog to be your main website, the exclusive carrier of your moneymaking ventures?
This can be achieved, of course. Such is the versatility of web logs.
Standalone blogs are best utilized for online businessmen or women who have decided to pursue what many people call as nicheing. Yes, the word is ungrammatical, but it is a term that many Internet marketers have come to embrace with fondness. Nicheing involves the creation of many sites that cater to particular niches. Niches, of course, are very specialized markets, most of which are so obscure that they do not garner the attention of businesses, hence creating high demands with low supplies. The purpose of nicheing is to find these markets and provide for their needs. These enterprising businessmen would earn through the following ways:
* Creating and eventually selling products that aim to serve the said niches.
* Selling existing products that the said niches need.
* Providing for information that the members of the said niches can access for free, and enrolling the site that contains the information in a Pay Per Click (PPC) program like Google AdSense.
Regardless of what path the online entrepreneur decides to take, he should first create a site that serves as the repository of his commercial methods. Niches can be very rewarding. Since there is but a few competitions in the field, your search engine placement is sure to be higher than usual. Traffic should also be at a sustainable level since the members of a niche have nothing else to visit. This will mean a greater possibility for more sales, if you’re selling a product, or a higher Click Through Rate (CTR) if you’re enrolled in a PPC program.
Now, making a site can be quite cumbersome. You have to deal with the aspects of web design, graphic creation, and content writing among other concerns. What more when you have to create numerous sites for numerous niches?
Thankfully, blogs will make things a whole lot easier for you. Every online marketer who has attained success with niche marketing can attribute this to their proper exploitation of blogs. Whereas it would take you a couple of weeks to come up with 10 websites, it would only take you a couple of hours to come up with 10 blog sites. The sheer convenience and ease of web logs have made nicheing a very potent business model.
Blogs can very much substitute for a regular website. As we have previously discussed, high quality content is, ultimately, what will drive traffic to your site, and this kind of content can easily be carried through a blog. Also, you don’t have to change the entire page whenever you want to update your content, as you would with a regular website. With blogs, all you have to do is to write your update in a designated box and press the publish button. Of course, different blogging software have various features, but none comes more loaded than Wordpress.
Blogging is the way to go if you want to create, and maintain, several niche sites. And Wordpress is the weapon of choice for most Internet marketers. To fully realize the potentials of the medium, therefore, you should be able to exploit all the features that Wordpress does offer.
Look out for the next article, where we’re going to discuss how you could efficiently integrate the Google AdSense program into your blog, and make it a passive income generating machine.

What is it that your online business needs? Traffic. Without it, your dead in the water. It does not matter if your product or service will revolutionize your market, without traffic no one will ever know about it. So how does a business generate traffic? Well there are plenty of ways, paid and free. Let’s start out with the more well known and traditional ways.
1) Pay per click advertising such as Google Adwords. This is a fantastic way to generate traffic. You can target your market via keywords and only pay when someone clicks on your ad. Yahoo and MSN offer the same type of service as well as other less frequented search engines. One problem with Pay per click is that it can become very expensive, especially if your in a crowded market like Home Loans. If you are in a small market you should be able to get by relatively inexpensively.
2) Organic Searches. This involves your site being well optimized with strategic keyword placement throughout. If your not an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) expert, this can be a daunting task. It’s better to hire an expert to do the optimization on your websites pages.
3) Link Exchanges. This can help boost your search engine rankings if your not an SEO expert. It’s simple really; first you just set up a page on your site just for links from other sites. Now go to one of the best sites for link exchanges, Link Metro. Start exchanging links with other sites relative to your market. This can increase your PR (Page Rank) thus giving you better organic search rankings. PR is what Google uses to signify the importance of a site in their eyes. You can find out what your sites PR is by downloading the Google toolbar.
Now let’s move on to some other effective ways to generate a bunch of traffic to your site almost instantly.
4) Write and eBook and give it away for free. Yes, you heard me correctly, give it away. Make sure the e-book has some good content related to your market, this is important. When you give it away tell everyone they are free to give it away as well. *Important* Do not forget to have links in the e-book that point back to your site and test them to make sure they work. Encourage people to give it away to their list(s) or as an opt-in bonus to their future subscribers. If the content is good, they will be glad to do it. This is a great viral technique. Also, include in the e-book that the current possessor is free to give it away as well. This add’s to the virulence.
5) Writing Articles. Some people wouldn’t guess it, but this is a great way to drive traffic to your site. There are all kinds of article directories to submit your articles to as well, way too many to list here. Go to Google and type in Article Directories and more than enough will come up. The majority of article submission sites let you put in an Author bio box. Here you can give more info about you and your site and a link.
6) Blogs. Keeping your own blog can bring in traffic to your site, especially if it is updated often. The best part is, you can write about anything you want and suggest anything you want. The way to use a blog to drive traffic to your site is to use a blog pinging service like Ping-O-Matic. Also, invite readers of your blog to put an RSS feed of your blog on their site. If you supply good content, many readers will take you up on this offer.
7) Start your own affiliate program. In my opinion and many others, this is the best way to generate an avalanche of traffic. Members of your list will be happy to promote your site in hopes of earning a commission on any sales. Make sure you have plenty of promotional material with your members affiliate link already embedded. Make it as easy as possible for potential affiliates. A fantastic program for running an affiliate program and anything else you want to do with a site is Mike Filsaime’s Butterfly Marketing. I use this software for my sites and it is amazing. Do not be scared away by the price, it’s one of the best investments I have made for my business. Notice I said Investment; this is exactly what it is.
Well those are just some of the best ways you can generate an avalanche of traffic to your site. Try to use all of the techniques listed above for maximum results.

In recent months, MySpace has generated a huge amount of publicity. This social networking site has become so popular that is reputed to be the most visited English-speaking language website in the world.
While most people use MySpace to connect with friends and loved ones, there is hidden opportunity for smart Internet marketers.
For instance, they know that MySpace contains a virtual goldmine of people who have an interest in a wide variety of products and services. It is just a matter of knowing what to sell them and how to get them to your online website.
So if you are interested in squeezing profit from the 112 million MySpace users, all you need to do is set up simple website. But you might be wondering what type of business works best with MySpace users.
Well the answer is there are three major businesses that can be effectively marketed to MySpace users:
Google Adsense
The Google Adsense program is one of the best ways generate a profit from MySpace. Since this program is not well known outside the Internet marketing world, most folks are not aware that it is a type of advertisement.
With Google Adsense, you can generate a profit simply by having people click on an ad. There is nothing to sell or promote, all you have to do is present people with good content and make sure that the Adsense blocks are visible enough to be clicked on.
Because of the wide variety of people on MySpace, there is a huge opportunity for any Google Adsense niche. All you need to do is create content that people want to read, insert your Google Adsense and then direct your targeted friends to this webpage.
Then sit back and watch your earnings accumulate while people click on your ads!
Affiliate Marketing
Widely considered the best way to earn a living on the Internet, affiliate marketing involves sharing revenue between a business (the affiliate merchant) and an individual affiliate. The affiliate is responsible for driving web traffic to the merchant in exchange for receiving a sizeable commission on any sales that are made.
The principle behind this online business is that the affiliate must target a specific niche, then get people who are interested in that niche to go to the website of the merchant.. The hard part is many affiliates have difficulty locating people who have an interest in a particular niche.
Fortunately MySpace makes it easy to locate people based on their interest in a particular product. All you have to do is create a profile and use the special tools to add friends who have an interest in that niche.
Once you have attracted their attention to your profile, you can use the communication tools on MySpace to present the affiliate product to the user. If they buy from your link, you will get a hefty commission.
Sell Information Products
Just like affiliate marketing, you can easily use MySpace to find people that will have an interest in your information product. The best part is you do not have to split any of the profits like you would with an affiliate program.
With an information product, you can design an entire profile that pre-sells your offer. So when people arrive at your website, they will be targeted and interested in anything that you are selling. All you have to do is create a convincing presentation and the sale will be yours!
All three of these money making models are being effectively used by niche marketers right now!
So dont sit on the sidelines and watch other people take advantage of this social networking system. Start marketing your business on MySpace today!

Today, there are many ways to increase web traffic to your website. Some of them bring more traffic to your site, but some don’t. Here are 10 of effective ways that can make your pages experience a traffic explosion.
1. Trading links with other web sites that related to the subject of your web site can bring you more web site traffic. Instead of trading links, you could also trade banner ads, half page ads, classified ads, etc. Moreover, a lot of banner exchanges offer free banner impressions just for signing up. Here are just a few banner exchanges website that offer free banner impressions:
http://www.purelybannerz.co.uk
http://www.linkswap.co.uk/
http://www.click4click.com/
You will find banner exchanges that offer free banner impressions more if you do a search for “banner exchange” on any search engine.
If you don’t have a banner for your web site you can create one for free at:
http://www.addesigner.com/
2. Start an e-zine for your web site. When people read each issue they’ll be reminded to revisit your web site. They’ll see your product ad more than just once which will increase your orders.
P.S If you want to start building a list but have no auto responder for capturing leads, you can get a very cheap auto responder here:
http://www.aweber.com
3. Form an online community. It could be an online message board, e-mail discussion list or chat room. When people get involved in your community they will regularly return to communicate with others.
4. Write articles and submit them to e-zines, web sites and magazines that accept article submissions. Include your business information and web address at the end of the article. Here are the best places to submit your articles:
http://www.goarticles.com
http://www.ezinearticles.com
http://www.ideamarketers.com
http://www.contentdesk.com
You can also use Article Marketer which is a paid service and I recommend using it to save you time. Just click below for more information.
http://www.articlemarketer.com
If you don’t want to write article by yourself, you could outsource article writing for around $5 per article at these sites:
http://www.rentacoder.com
http://www.elance.com
5. Give away an electronic freebie with your ad on it. Allow your visitors to also give the freebie away. This’ll increase your ad exposure and increase web traffic to your web site at the same time.
6. Combine your products or services into one big package deal with other businesses offerings. You could share a web site and advertise the package deal; which means double more web site traffic.
7. Submit your freebie to the online directories that list your particular item or service for free. If you’re offering a free e-zine, submit it to all the free e-zine directories on the internet.
8. Participate on message boards. Post answers to other people’s questions, ask questions and post appropriate information. Include your signature file at the end of all your postings.
9. Exchange classified or sponsor ads with other free e-zine publishers. If there is a huge subscriber difference between e-zines, one can run more ads to make up for it.
10. Post your ad on free advertising areas on the internet. You can post it on free classified ad sites, free for all links sites, newsgroups that allow ads, free yellow page directories, etc.

Some months ago a young guy from Thailand by the name of Sean Wu revealed what some big name gurus have been quietly doing for years already to get almost immediate traffic to their sites and to get them noticed by the search engine spiders. Of course, I am talking about Tag and Ping.
What exactly is Tag and Ping?
You may have heard the term Blog and Ping before. That

If an internet marketer does not understand how to drive laser targeted traffic to his or her website, possessing all of the other traits and skills required to succeed will not matter. The best looking, world’s most functional web site will not make one bit of difference if no one ever finds it! Worse yet, your web site could receive thousands of visitors each day, but if those visitors are not targeted prospects interested in buying what you are promoting, you will not experience the level of success you desire.
Hundreds of web sites are created each day, thanks to the availability of easy to use web site builders. With so much competition, how can you get the targeted web site traffic required for success? Using the seven ways to drive laser targeted traffic to your web site will put you a step ahead of your competition.
1) Search Engines. Internet marketers can, and should rely heavily upon search engines for sending traffic to their web sites. They can be used successfully without costing a single cent, provided you are able to get your site listed in a visible position (the first page or two of search results rather than the tenth). Getting a web site listed in the top positions of the major search engines takes patience, but it is well worth the time and effort when the traffic starts pouring in!
2) Links. Many strategies for marketing online make use of links to gain traffic to a web site. You could contact other web site owners and request that they exchange links with you; in other words, you will place a link to their web site on your page and they will place a link to your web site on their page. Link exchanges are far more successful when links are traded between sites containing related information. Web site owners can also browse through blogs, message boards and online forums and make comments to the postings on these sites. The comments you make should include a link back to your own site.
3) Article Marketing. One of the most under utilized methods of obtaining traffic to a web site includes writing articles. If you write articles with quality content, you will have people interested enough in what you do to click on links back to your web site to learn more. Furthermore, there are thousands of article directories and submission services online that allow you to submit your articles including an author’s resource box with a link back to your own web site. When other web site owners use the article as content on their web site, they are also linking to your site.
4) Affiliate Programs. When you create an affiliate program out of your products or services, you essentially allow other people to sell your product on commission. They will receive a small percentage of each item sold, and you will experience higher levels of sales thanks to your “sales team” of affiliates doing the leg work for you.
5) Joint Venture Marketing. Many forms of joint venture marketing exist, in that more than one person or entity shares the risk of a particular product or service. One of the easiest and most effective forms of joint venture marketing is to swap advertisements and links with another partner, enabling each partner to reach a larger customer base in a shorter period of time.
6) Market Research. When an internet marketer is aware of exactly the people who make up their target market; advertising becomes much more effective and efficient. You will focus on driving only the people who are specifically interested in your product and service, and stop wasting time trying to attract everyone to your site.
7) Newsletter Subscribers. When you are marketing products to customers online, it is very important that you set up a way to continuously contact those potential customers with updates and specials on your products. Allowing individuals to subscribe to a newsletter gives you an easy way to track all of your interested prospects, and using an auto responder makes it fast to send each person an update on a regular basis.
Marketing products over the internet requires a continuous trial and error approach. Your actions need to be measurable so you can track whether or not each approach has been successful or not. Using the seven ways to obtain laser targeted traffic will give you an advantage over the competition.

Have you heard of the popular social networking site known as MySpace? I’d be more than willing to bet that you definitely have heard about this feature packed method of staying in touch with your online buddies and letting people know interesting little tidbits about yourself. The most interesting thing about MySpace is the potential to reach a large niche audience quickly and easily by using a few “secrets of the pro’s” that will let you covertly slip below the radar while capitalizing on MySpace.com’s endless mountains of fresh, stampeding traffic.
This young site already has some entrepreneurial minds spinning their wheels on various methods they could possibly use to cash in on this goldmine. However, it will take some definite outside of the box thinking to reach these types of target audiences when they’re in a “comfortable” online environment. I have come up with a few methods of capitalizing on the amount of traffic that moves through the MySpace website on a daily basis while staying within their terms of service.
1.) Add as many friends as possible using specialty software. The more friends you have on MySpace, the larger audience you have to market your products and services to. There is even specialty software as I mentioned that will let you extract MySpace ID’s from certain web pages on the site and then automatically send new friend requests on complete auto-pilot.
2.) Frequently post on your MySpace blog and let your friends know when you have made new posts. Your MySpace blog is the exact place where you can ramble on about anything you see fit. So why not use it as a method to talk a little bit about your business or products or heck, follow suit with many other MySpacer’s and start a band and then go into details about all of your shows by using your blog!
3.) I mentioned in tip #2 to post on your blog frequently and to let your friends know when you’ve made new posts. You can let them know by sending bulletins to all the friends on your list. You can even use HTML in these bulletins which would enable you to include any graphical hyperlinks that you could use. If you have a logo or banner this would be something you would definitely want to include in your bulletins.
4.) Post messages on other people’s profiles. You can add new comments onto anyone’s profile individually or you can use some specialty software to send out mass comments to all of your friends. Just be sure to use some generic non-offensive comments that promote you or your business in a roundabout but interesting way.
5.) Send messages to users telling them a little bit about yourself and your website. Be sure to include hyperlinks and answer any questions promptly. This is yet another great way to capitalize on some of the MySpace craze.
I hope you enjoyed this article and are seriously considering some of the income potential that awaits you on MySpace. Good luck and don’t hesitate to get the tools necessary for a successful social network marketing campaign that could earn you hundreds or even thousands of dollars in extra monthly income whether it’s for yourself or in the name of your business.

If you belong to any of the following groups, then this article is for you.
* You already have a business and a website that serves as the official hub for your online sales. The website may be serving as an online store for your enterprise.
* You need a venue wherein you can promote your affiliate links.
* Your already have a website, which may not necessarily be a commercial one, and it is enrolled with a Pay Per Click (PPC) program, like Google AdSense.
Success in these fields depends on one essential principle which you might have already realized: traffic is the key to your online business thriving.
You may have in your digital inventory the best products in the world, but they won’t mean squat if no one would get to see them. This is why each and every online businessman will fight tooth and nail just to have a piece of the Internet traffic. After all, the more visitors who get to visit your site, the more potential clients you have.
And blogs can most definitely help you drive visitors to your pages. Here is how you could use them to achieve such a purpose:
1. Download the Wordpress blogging software, which is available for free at wordpress.com An alternative is to go with blogger.com.
2. Remember that good content is always at the heart of a progressive online traffic stream. People are always looking for information, and if you will give them that, they would read what you have to offer. Dedicate your blog to the subject of your main website. Publish informative entries that would hook your readers and make them come back for updates. In between purely educational entries, strategically include a link to your site by suggesting their importance to your readers.
3. Using the above mentioned strategy, you could also include your affiliate links to pre-sell your affiliate products. The more traffic you drive to your affiliate merchant’s site or sales page, the more chances you will have of effectuating a successful sale and bigger commissions.
4. Links from blogs are unilateral, meaning, they are one way links to your websites. The more traffic a unilateral link generates, the more it becomes prominent in online searches. Avoid reciprocal links at all costs! Do not include a link to your blog from your website. Search engines abhor reciprocal linking.
5. 80% of your traffic will come from the search engines. You have to tweak your blog to attract the attention of the search engine spiders. Now, blogs are already search engine friendly. However, there is a very big possibility that you would be competing with other blogs on the same subject. You have to make sure that once you upload your blog, it is able to outperform its competitors in the search engine rankings.
One way you can do this is by using the title of your post to match the keyword phrases you are targeting, plus put a sprinkling of your keyword phrase in the post itself. I am doing this with great results.
6. Check your blog offline. It should be as readable and as navigable as possible for your prospective readers. Make appropriate adjustments if necessary.
7. Upload your blog to a reliable server that has enough bandwidth to accommodate many viewers.
8. Constantly update your blog. Search engines love regularly updated content, so publishing new entries will greatly increase your blog’s page rank, and consequently, your main website’s traffic.
9. Accepting links from other related blogs will also bring to your site some traffic from sources other then search engines. The way that a blog is designed fosters the building of a community of blog sites, and this will provide for an added stream of visitors for you.
10. You could also decide to enroll your blog site in the Google AdSense advertising program. This will give you an additional income stream. We will discuss this in future articles.
Blogs are excellent promotional tools for your existing business. Use them well and you will harvest the rewards in a matter of weeks.

For many new marketers who have just come online, they are tempted by many of the advertising services that promise huge amount of traffic to their web sites at extremely low cost. These services included the following:
- Ad Blasters
- Autosurfing sites
- Guaranteed Traffic
- Search Engines Submission
- Safelist marketing
Most of these services do not work and are a waste of your hard-earned money. Even if they do work, the results are usually pathetic. Furthermore, the traffic you received is usually not targeted to your niche.
You have to understand that you do not need huge amount of traffic to your web site to make money. What you need is targeted traffic. And here are three of the best methods to get targeted traffic for free.
1. Online Community Sites
Forums and messages boards are examples of online community sites. There are thousands of forums and messages on the Internet that you can participate and thus you need to spend some time to find those that match your niche.
The best way to use the forums is to provide answers to questions posted by other members of the forums. If you do this often enough, you will gain great credibility and other members will start to view you as an expert!
Now, the important thing to do here is to leave your signature in every post you make. The signature is the only place where you can advertise your product or services. It usually consisted of a 4 or 5-line description and a hyperlink to your web site. However, most experienced marketers do not advertise their products or services directly. Instead, they use their signature to drive traffic to their lead capture page to capture the name and email address of the visitors. In other words, these experienced marketers are building their own opt-in list.
2. Link Exchange
This method requires you to contact other webmasters and persuade them to add a hyperlink on their web sites that point back to your web site. In return, you also put up hyperlinks on your web site that point back to their web sites. This method can give your web site a great boost in the search engines ranking if you do it correctly.
A good strategy is to exchange links with other webmasters who has a product or service that compliment yours. If your product is related to credit repair, you can consider exchanging link with another webmaster who offers a debt management service. This way, you are providing more value to your visitors and prospects when they arrive at your web site.
3. Article Submission
Many new marketers think that writing articles is too difficult and shun away from this simple but effective traffic generation method. However, article writing is a skill that can be learned. Simply enter ‘article writing’ into any major search engines and you will have a ton of free information that shows you how to write good articles. And you do not need any special software to do this. Windows Notepad is all you need to get started.
For each article that you write, you will include a resource box that contain a description and a hyperlink to your web site. This is similar to the signature you use when posting messages to a forum. If your article is interesting and informative, the readers of your article will likely follow the hyperlink in your resource box and visit your web site for more information.
Most of the popular article directories allow you to submit your article for free. Your articles are subject to approval by the owners of these article directories. A few of them may offer you a quicker review and listing of your article for a nominal fee. However, this is usually optional.
All the methods outlined above have been proven to drive targeted traffic to your web site. The result may not be significant in the beginning but over time, the stream of targeted traffic to your web site will start to grow. All it takes is a bit of time and effort on your part to put these techniques into action.

There is one vitally important rule in generating a consistent income for your website: You need a steady flow of targeted website traffic. If you do not have any visitors coming to your site, you will not make any money. That is just a fact.
Be assured: There are many ways to generate low cost website traffic so you do not have to spend what you do not have or cannot afford.
Here is a short overview of the most effective ways of getting visitors for free or low cost:
Joint Ventures
If you have a product that is of high quality, you should try to get list owners to promote it for you. In return, you should offer them a much higher than usual commission. Even the full 100%. Your goal should be not to profit on the frontend but on the backend.
In other words, you must build your list and offer these new subscribers or buyers other, related products. Once they are on your list, you have multiple chances of making them an offer they cannot resist.
Link Exchanges
This is a surefire and proven method and has been working for years. You will seldom find a website which does not have any link to another site. Most webmasters are willing to exchange links with each other so that they could produce more public awareness about their sites. You will soon see and feel the sudden upsurge of the traffic coming in to your site from other sites.
A major prerequisite in exchanging links with other sites is being in a related niche or have similar content as the other site. Exchanging links also boosts your chance of getting a higher ranking in search engine results; even though it is working better with one way links.
Viral Marketing
Viral marketing, also known otherwise as viral advertising, is a marketing technique used to build the public awareness of your product or company. In a nutshell, companies ride on the idea that if people like the content of a media, they will pass it on to their friends and family.
Viral marketing has become a very popular means of advertising and marketing because it is relatively inexpensive. To avoid being tagged as spam mail, viral marketing counts on the eagerness of one person to pass on the product. If a person sees the name of the person they know as the sender, they will not block it and open it as well.
Write and Submit Articles
There are many ezines and article directories on the internet which are waiting for your article submissions. Also, many freelance writers are willing to write articles for you for a small fee if you cannot write them yourself.
Write about something that you have expertise in so that when they read it, they can see that you are the expert on the subject. Provide tips and guidelines related to the subject or niche your site is about. Include a resource box at the end of your article and link it back to your site.
Publish a Newsletter.
Publishing a newsletter gives you free advertising to targeted prospects. If you think that you are not a writer or you do not know how to write an ezine, you can outsource that part of your business.
Hire writers on freelancer platforms like Elance.com, Scriptlance.com, Guru.com or similar websites. In your newsletter, make recommendations for products you like and which you have personally used. Then you are almost guaranteed to make sales.
Participate in Forum Discussions
This only requires your time and nothing else. You can share your knowledge and expertise in many online communities and get well known as a helpful person.
You can get free advertising when you are frequenting forums that are on the same subject or are in the same niche as your own website by using your signature line when posting. This signature line has a little description and link leading to your website.
Start a free Blog
You can start a blog for free on a platform like Blogger.com. By adding exclusive niche content to your blog on a regular basis (at least 4-5 times a week), you can achieve the same high positions which regular websites are getting.
You just have to be careful that you are not choosing a too competitive niche or keywords. Then direct that traffic to your main site where they will read your salesletter in order to make sales.

By writing quality articles and making them available to others to place on their websites, you are opening a doorway that will allow traffic to be generated to your site. There are always people wanting to use quality content on their sites, for instance, bloggers, webmasters and E-zine publishers and by having a resource box at the end of the article you are linking your article back to your website.
Before rushing off and putting your articles out there, make sure that you are doing it right. Below are some useful
