When setting goals, is faith a part of successfully achieving the goal? Does anyone succeed without the need for faith? What is faith exactly, and if it is a part of success, then why do some people still fail, and so few succeed.

Many people think that faith is believing in a God, believing in a higher being, a deity. However, faith in its true sense is the belief in those things unseen. Faith includes the belief that the Sun will come up tomorrow, that when it is winter, it will become summer at some point.

A person who is an atheist can also succeed. This article is not concerned about the spiritual aspect, but it does concern faith. The faith that our deep down desires in the heart will be realized. That those goals you set will materialize, this is faith.

Believe as though you receive, and you will receive. This statement is fundamentally correct. But, how is it correct? A look at success stories, and failed stories, we find that the successes believed.

This is not like winning the lottery. I have yet a person in business to turn around and get as excited at being worth a million. Generally a goal needs us to grow. A goal which we set everyday, like getting a cup of coffee is not a goal. Though we have to function as a goal achieving being, these goals are nothing new.

Faith to get a cup of coffee is not as pronounced as a goal you set and worked for, for many years, possibly even decades. Yes, you get excited at achieving such goals, however, soon as it is done, it is time for the next goal or we could simply drift back.

Many people fail, however, and success is a distant dream. No one can be classed as failed. When we try something and it doesn’t work, we can try something else. But, without the faith, the confidence, and the motivation can not exist.

Think of a time when you tried something, which you did not believe you could achieve. Did you achieve that goal? Now, I am talking about long term goals. And I don’t mean about those you felt positive to, but had many questions and a bit of fear, whether it would work.

Being positive, and having faith, shows us that it provides the groundwork for success. We find that we can achieve those goals. Goal setting then becomes a natural process of belief that that goal will materialize.

After all, if you don’t believe you can, would you even try? Many people join business opportunities; get into a certain line of work, etc, because they are looking for the money, the big bucks. However, true success only comes when we aim at something we truly desire, and work to achieve it.

In fact IBM thought it was going to be a fad, and made the PC using ready made components from Taiwan. Now that worked to our advantage, and computers are widespread, and Bill Gates goal has been realized, making him one of the richest men in the world.

What is one of the biggest success secrets? Learning effectively how to goal set is a process which has made almost all successes to become successful. In fact even Solomon said that without a vision people perish. In this article, we will look at one of the greatest success secrets - how to goal set.

Goal setting is an amazing topic, but before learning how to goal set, it is important to grasp what is goal setting?

If we think of life, we go through education, get into adulthood, and get a day job. Most of the time, we do things because others have influenced us to some degree, and we are doing what others want us to do. Now there is nothing wrong with that, but you may want to change that to living life on your terms.

People are like ships without rudders, and setting goals is like having a rudder. Though all people set goals, there is a distinction between what the many do, and the goal setting we are talking about here. Setting goals consciously is what is important. A person trying to wake up on time and going to work in a timely fashion is not the type of goal setting we want.

So basically goals are choosing a destination, a worthy ideal, and then taking action on that. But, how do you actually goal set? Learning how to set goals is not something that needs to get you caught up with processes. It is important to put goal setting in its proper perspective.

Goal setting is simply the process of dreaming, deciding, planning, and more importantly acting. As long as you know what you want, and keep trying enough times, while learning and adjusting along the way will eventually take you to your desired destination. I go with Edison’s example. He tried something like 10,000 times before finding how to make the light bulb! We can follow such a process and find success.

By far the simplest way in answering how to goal set, is to follow the plan of dreaming, deciding, planning and acting. It becomes more difficult on the planning stage. But, the simplest way to set a goal is to write it down, and look at it often. This will aid you in keeping focused.

So many people, and I have done it also, is that they spend too long on the planning stage. If you can fire, aim, ready, instead of ready, aim, fire, you will likely achieve your goal sooner. This does not mean planning is not important, but I feel that so many people stick with the planning stage, and over time find it more harder to act.

Why Goal Setting Has Not Worked For You

Setting goals is a great way to achieving them! We find only a few percentage of people ever goal set. I am going to make a bold statement that everyone sets goals. However, there are many reasons why goal setting just is not working for you.

Our desires are a key to a successful outcome with our goals. However, the desires that we have can be summarized into a couple of types. These different types of desire can make or break your goal setting efforts.

Often we will chase symbols. We see that nice car, that nice house and we just want it. Perhaps it is to be better than the Jones or you just feel you got to achieve that goal you set yourself.

Achieving any goal is down to the right kind of desire. With the right kind of desire, the seeds come with the fertilizer, and the plant (your set goal) can grow. But, it needs the water. Without water the goal that you have set will never appear.

Conscious desire is that seeking symbols. It is as a child wanting something so bad, and when you finally received it, you wanted something else! This can be thought of as water that is polluted. Often these kinds of desires make goal achievement not possible. The universe, higher power, God, etc always knows your deepest needs and wants, and will only manifest those things which are necessary for your growth.

So, what is the best kind of desire to have, whether you want to achieve financial success, business success, or even a happy life? The desires which come from deep within, those kinds of goals we place on instinct. We just don’t know why we are having that desire. Kind of like the desire is when you have fallen in love with someone. You just have that feeling.

These subconscious desires are great desires to have. When you find them realize that you have gold in your hands. You have a desire which comes from a higher power, God, angels or whatever you want to label that higher power. These kind of desires always come with the necessary resources for there attainment.

When you goal set, these kind of desires can tell you whether you will achieve them or not. Now I am not saying that no conscious desire manifests, they do manifest. Though a simple look at every lottery winner and you will find that even though they attained the conscious desire, it soon vanished as fast as it came in. Often leaving the people one step behind.

You can start living your dreams when you understand the process of goal setting in the right way. Anything you truly desire can come to fruition. All it requires is taking action, as soon as you feel the impulse of that subconscious desire.

How To Achieve More In Life

Are you content with your life? Can you honestly sit back, and say that you have achieved everything that you ever set out to achieve? Can you honestly say that you are likely to achieve your goals and dreams in the future? Many people begin their lives with hope, aspirations, ideas and goals. As life progresses, they slowly come detached from these, and one day, they come to a realization that they probably won’t achieve their goals. So they give up all together, and stop dreaming, hoping, and planning for their desired future.

At that point when you give up on your dreams of achieving more, you give up on life itself. From that point on you are destined to wander through life without a purpose, or a reason for being. Unless, of course, you make some changes in the way that you live your life, and the way that you see yourself as a person.

Why Achieve More?

Ask yourself why you want to achieve more in your hopes, dreams, and aspirations of days gone by. Ask yourself why these were important to you. Could the answer be that they made you happy? They made you feel whole, and that there was more to life than the daily grind that you have become so accustomed to over the years?

We want to achieve more in our lives. For the same reason that we might climb a mountain, or run a marathon, to feel a sense of accomplishment, and achievement, we want to know that we are able to achieve anything if we truly believe that we are capable of doing it.

How To Achieve More?

To start off with, you must know what you are setting out to achieve, and this takes planning. We can achieve anything if we put our minds to it, but we can’t achieve everything. So ask yourself what it is you value the most. What do you really want to achieve in your life right now? Once you know what you are setting out to accomplish, you have given yourself a strong starting point.

Plan your goals, and look for opportunities that will take you to your goals. There are millions of opportunities floating around us every minute of the day, just waiting to be grasped. The trick to success is to use only the opportunities that will lead you to your goals, and help you achieve the things you have set out to accomplish. Anything else is of little value to you, and your achievements.

Visualize your success. See it in every detail in your mind’s eye, and never stop believing that you will achieve your goal. Life wasn’t meant to be easy. If it was, we would never feel the sense of achievement, and accomplishment that we so desperately need in our lives. So see your dreams coming true, and live them out in your mind. This will give you the strength, and the courage to keep on going, even when it would be easier to throw your arms in the air and give up.

Remind yourself all the time about your goals. Write letters to yourself about all the wonderful things you will do or have once you have achieved your set goal. Place posters or words of wisdom around your home to remind you of what you deem as important, and have set out to achieve. Write out your own personal plan to achieve these goals.

Above all, remain true to yourself. Set your value system high. Live by your virtues, compassion, and know that everything that you freely give will be returned to you threefold. Never do anything that is against your belief system or your values in order to achieve more for yourself. Our values are the most important virtue that we have, and nothing is ever worth going against them. To go against your values, and beliefs, will only result in you thinking less of yourself as a person, and tarnish your beliefs that you are the type of person who deserves to achieve more in life.

You deserve to achieve more, so give yourself every opportunity to gain the things that you desire. Truly believe in what you want to achieve, and your capabilities to reach your goals. If you do this, you will achieve more, and still keep your value system intact, making you the person who really does have everything.

Goal Setting Tip #1: Where are you going?

This goal setting tip can be summed up with the title of a book my father bought me on goal setting quite a few years ago. The title of the book was “If you don’t know where you’re going you’ll probably end up somewhere else”. Those words have stuck with me all these years.

When you think about the title and realize that most people have no idea where they’re going or what they want. It’s really sad. Our minds are goal seeking computers. Just give it a specific goal and it will work to complete it. However, all most people have is vague wandering thoughts of what they want. They’ve never written their thoughts down in a coherent manner.

If you send a message to a friend you don’t write the words down in whatever order and expect them to figure out what it says. Why do we do it to ourselves with what we want out of life?

It’s your job to write down on paper how you want to live.

Get out a piece of paper and start with your top 100 goals. Start writing a list of the things you want to accomplish in your life. I mean anything you can imagine, learning a language, taking a trip, meeting a famous or not so famous person. Write on that list everything from the littlest thing like brushing your teeth twice a day to flying in the space shuttle.

Keep making the list until you reach 100, however, don’t stop there. Carry the list with you and continue to write down more goals as you think of them. It may take several hours or days to complete this list. However, it’s essential that you do it.

Goal Setting Tip #2: Let’s get specific

The second goal setting tip, get specific about the things that you want. Take your top 100 list and start with the easiest ones and write a more specific description of what you want. If it’s a car, what make and model, what color, leather or cloth seats. If it’s a trip, where are you going, how will you get there and what will you see. If it’s money, be specific. How much, why do you want it and what will you do with it when you get it. Remember, BE SPECIFIC!

Goal Setting Tip #3: It’s in the want to, you’ll find the how to.

Now let’s discover the key to successful goal setting. Why do you want it? Think about and write on paper why you want each of the dreams on your Top 100 list. Get specific and dig deep to the emotions and feelings that are behind each one. It’s in this step you’ll find which ones you truly are willing to pay the price to get and which ones are not really important.

Two Keys to Achieving Your Goals

Use these goal setting technique after you’ve written down your goals, gotten specific about what you want and why you want it and developed a clear mental image of your goal.

When those steps are completed, it’s time to take action.

There are two types of action, physical and mental. Let’s start with the physical.

Taking Action to Move Towards your Goal

Start the first part of this goal setting technique by thinking of all the things you can do to make your goals a reality. Write them down and keep adding to the list. Then start working on the list. Take the action necessary to achieve your goals.

Put actions on your to - do list every day pertaining to all your goals. It’s important to do something every day, even little things to create momentum. If you want to get in good physical condition you would exercise daily, not at random now and then. The same holds true with anything. You make it a daily habit.

Ask yourself this question: “What can I do today that will move me closer to achieving my goal of _____?” Then guess what? Do it!

Don’t spend too much time analyzing your actions. If you’re going to fail, then fail fast. Thomas Edison tried thousands of theories before successfully inventing the light bulb. However, it was the way he looked at failure that made the difference. Edison didn’t consider those thousands of failed theories as failures. Each one showed him another way that wouldn’t work. Each failure brought his team one step closer to success.

Notice the results you are getting from your actions and make adjustments along the way. Keep moving forward.

Changing Your Beliefs

The next and most important step of this goal setting technique is to send the right messages to your subconscious mind. You won’t achieve your goals if you don’t believe you can achieve them.

First examine your beliefs about your goals. Do you believe you can achieve them? Do you believe it will be difficult? What negative beliefs do you have about achieving the goals you have set? If you have negative or limiting beliefs about your goals then you need to change them.

You need to feed your mind the possibilities and send the right message to your subconscious mind. What seems difficult should be considered easy. What you think you can’t do should become something you can do. What you don’t believe is possible should become something you believe is possible.

If you want to close more sales, however, you don’t know how, you need to change that to: I know how to close more sales. Any negative belief or thought pattern related to achieving your goal must be eliminated; otherwise you don’t stand a chance of achieving your goal. You can take all the other steps required in setting goals, however, if you have a negative belief pattern related to achieving your goals, you will not succeed.

Taking action is an important step in achieving the goals you have set for yourself. Many people fail at goal achievement because they never take any action. When you take action and send the right messages to your subconscious you’ll begin to create opportunities to achieve your goals.

Living a balanced life is the key to personal goal setting success and your career success in sales. What does it mean to live a balanced life? Balanced living starts by setting goals in all areas of your life. Goal setting has implications far beyond your career goals. In fact, people who set only business related goals decrease their odds of having a well balanced, happy life and achieving their business goals.

Let’s start by measuring your life satisfaction and to identify areas that might benefit from personal goal setting.

On a piece of paper, draw a large circle. In the center of the circle, draw a very small circle. Next, draw 6 straight lines from the small circle to the large circle, like spokes on a bicycle wheel.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 is the lowest and 10 the highest) ask yourself how satisfied you are with your current position in regards to; financial and career, social and cultural, spiritual and ethical, family and home, mental and educational and physical and health.

Take into account the following personal goal setting issues:

Financial and Career
Do you enjoy your work? Do you feel you are making a contribution to society? Are you living up to your potential? Have you achieved a satisfactory standard of living?

Social and Cultural
Does your circle of friends enhance your life and contribute to your sense of contentment and well-being? Is there at least one other person you can discuss important life issues with? Do you have interests outside of your career and family (sports, theater, outdoor events)?

Spiritual and Ethical
Have you identified your specific personal values? Are you living up to those personal values? Is religion important to you? If so, are you happy with the way you are practicing your religion? If its not, what is your relationship with a higher power or with the universe in general?

Family and Home
Have you realized your dream in terms of your home and family relationships?

Mental and Educational
Did you accomplish the educational goals you set for yourself? Are you still growing and learning? Do you invest in your continuing education on a regular basis?

Physical and Health
Are you satisfied with your current level of physical health? Are you living up to your own standards in terms of diet and exercise? Are you fit enough to do the things you want to do?

Next record your answers by putting a mark on each spoke under the respective categories. Assign the innermost notch on the wheel a value of one, and the outer ring a value of ten. After you have marked all of the spokes, connect your marks, creating your own “wheel.” Congratulations to those whose wheel is round and hugs the outer edge of the figure. Chances are that you are reasonably happy and are living a fairly balanced life. However, any other shaped/configured wheel suggests room for growth.

For example, if your circle is lopsided, the low score(s) identify the area(s) in which you need to focus your personal goal-setting efforts. If your wheel is round but small, that’s okay. Your life is in balance you just need to set goals in all areas of your life in order to expand your wheel and achieve greater general satisfaction.

Repeat this process on a regular basis until your wheel meets your own standard of success. However, don’t stop there. Life doesn’t stand still. If you not moving forward then you’re loosing ground. Stretch your personal goal setting. Get out of your comfort zone and set new and challenging goals.

What Do You Do If Your Why Isn’t Big Enough?!

When I share with others that I’m training for a marathon, they inevitably ask, “How far do you run in a marathon?” The answer is, of course, 26.2 miles. Then they ask, ‘Where is the marathon?” My answer this time is Washington D.C. and the Marine Corps Marathon.

The next question I get is “Why? Why would you run 26.2 miles voluntarily?!?”

Initially, I wanted to run because I wanted to lose my ‘baby’ weight after my second child, Ashlyn. However, for whatever reason, this goal alone didn’t have a big enough ‘why’ attached. I was inconsistent and uncommitted. I’d run three days then miss a week, over and over again.

I knew I needed a worthier goal; a challenge that would cause me to dig deeper and commit more fully with greater attention and intention in order to succeed. I decided I needed to run a marathon. However, once again ‘running a marathon’ didn’t have a big enough ‘why’ to pull me into that place of lasting commitment. Again, I would run consistently for a few weeks then slack off. I was never going to get there unless I found my bigger ‘why’!

So, for my first marathon, I had to make my ‘why’ bigger than just me alone. I joined Team in Training which raises money for the Leukemia Society. Now, I had to not only train and run 26.2 miles but along with my brother, Chance, who runs with me, we had to raise more than $10,000.00 dollars! I have a special place in my heart for Team In Training and the Leukemia Society. I lost my grandfather to this terrible disease long before I should have and I felt that if I could make a contribution that helps in finding the cure that saves someone else’s grandfather, father, or loved one, then maybe, I had my big enough ‘why!’

Sure enough, this was the ‘why’ I needed. Chance and I ran the Mayor’s Midnight Sun Marathon in Anchorage, Alaska last June and raised a significant amount of money for a worthy cause.

If you have a goal that you aren’t able to fully and intentionally manifest, it may be that your ‘why’ simply isn’t big enough.

Let’s look at how our ‘why’s’ affect us as a society. We know that welfare doesn’t work. Is it because most welfare recipients ‘why’s’ aren’t big enough to do anything different? A welfare mother wants a better life but as it stands, although she’s not living any form of an easy life, at least she doesn’t have to work her fingers to the bone for ‘enough’ to get by on.

Additionally, she risks what she does have if she finds a job that pays too much to continue receiving assistance, but not enough to live on her own. Many do not have a big enough ‘why’ to break out of the
system.

This same ‘why’-deficient apathy can be seen in certain subsets of our veterans, our physically disabled, Native American communities, and in the trust-fund babies that were born with a silver spoon, for example.

If the ‘why’ isn’t big enough to choose to do something with our life, then we just don’t. (This statement is not just about the above-mentioned subsets, but about all of us!)

What about the phenomena that happens to men who retire and suddenly experience progressive illness and early death? Research has shown that employees who retired at age 55 had almost double the mortality risk of those who continued working into their 60s Shell Health Services study, according to the report in the British Medical Journal, published Oct. 2005.) Could it be that suddenly their ‘why’ for living and staying healthy, their sense of purpose and meaning is no longer valid?

How many extraordinary, revolutionary changes have occurred because someone stood up for what was ‘right’ when their ‘why’ got big enough? Was it their ‘why’ that inspired the men and women who rallied to create the declaration of independence, the civil rights movement, or a woman’s right to vote, for example?

What would happen if your WHY was big enough?

If your ‘why’ was big enough, you would be inspired to not just visualize, wish, and hope for your dreams to come true, you would get out and take action to make them come true. You would follow that guidance that says, “Take a risk, now!”

You would find the courage to change career paths, read that book, learn a new skill, hire some help, take a class, or interview someone that’s already doing what you want to do, if your ‘why’ was big enough.

Relating to my own life and another time when my ‘why’ wasn’t big enough, I recall the shift that changed it all for me. When I first started my business, my son was only a few weeks old. I was living with my husband in a very bad relationship but I had my basic needs covered, not by me but because my husband was supporting me.

I wanted to earn a living with my business but truth be told, I wasn’t. It was only after I left my husband and declared that I would find a way to make this business successful even if it meant living in my car to do it, that I found the conviction to manifest success!

This is when my ‘why’ got big enough. I wasn’t able to focus my mind and body enough to create success until I removed my safety blanket. When I found myself faced with either choosing success or choosing to live out of my car with my newborn son and my dog, I shifted into a place of determination; a focused sense of purpose that nothing and no one could stop.

What would happen if you were forced to succeed because your ‘why’ was big enough? What if you were told by a court of law (or an enforcement party), “You will lose your loved one (your children, your husband, your wife, your mother, your father, etc.) if you don’t earn 1 million dollars in 90 days”?

Do you think you could do it? In the book The One Minute Millionaire by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert Allen, this is exactly the test that the lead character goes through. She must earn 1 Million dollars in 90 days or lose her children forever. Suddenly, her ‘why’ for creating success just got big enough to make her turn on her passionate fires of determination to move and and earth to make it happen!

In your life, where is your ‘why’ big enough and where is your ‘why’ not big enough?

Signs and signals that your ‘why’ isn’t big enough:

* procrastination
* self-judgment
* embarrassment
* self-doubt
* indecisiveness
* confusion
* fear of making a mistake
* fear of failure
* apathy
* all talk but no action
* inconsistent action

When you can identify your big ‘why’ and combine that with your intentional thoughts, you will create the success you really want.

When we combine a big enough ‘why’ with a focused body/mind (our y’chi) we enact the laws of the Universe in ways that will literally part the seas for us!

For this marathon, my ‘why’ is about seeing things through (something I need to work on); about personal physical mastery (something that I want to make sure I’m walking my talk on), perseverance and finishing what I start (how can I ask you to do this, if I can’t?)

My ‘why’ this time is that if I’m going to ask my clients to break down all obstacles to their success - then I better be able to do it for myself. I found my ‘why’ again!

For you and your big goal, where is your ‘why’ and if it’s not big enough, courageously choose to make it bigger. The Universe always supports bold, courageous and faith-centered action. Trust in the Divine and follow your guidance.

Why You Must Set Goals to Improve your Self-Esteem

What are goals and why do we need them. Goals are targets for you to reach, things for you to aim for, obstacles for you to overcome or a destination for you to reach. Why are they important? Read on and find out.

How can you reach a destination if you don’t know what or where it is. Imagine living in the USA and wanting to get to England but you have no idea where England is, you don’t even know that you need to take a boat or a plane to get there because you’ve never even heard of England before.

How hard would it be to reach this destination? I’d say near to impossible wouldn’t you? You may stumble on it through shear luck. Maybe you wondered into an airport one day and saw the flight information on the screen but the odds on this are slim to none. This is why goals are so important.

To have a real goal you must have a plan. You must know where you’re going, how you’re going to get there and most importantly why you want to reach the goal in the first place. We’ve already dealt with the first one, you can’t reach a destination if you don’t know where you’re going.

The only part we haven’t dealt with is how specific your goals need to be. ‘I want to make lots of money’ isn’t good enough. ‘I want to make 1 million dollars in the next five years’. Now that’s the type of goal you want to be setting. It’s specific, punchy and straight to the point.

Secondly you need a plan. This doesn’t need to be too specific at first as it will constantly change throughout the process of reaching your goal. It’s like a boat cruising across the open water. On it’s way to it’s destination it is off course about 90 percent of the time and it makes minuscule changes all the way to it’s final port. Just like you’ll make changes to your plan on the way to reaching your goal

You may even find that half way to reaching your goal the destination itself will change, either slightly or become an entirely different goal altogether.

Finally the most important part. You must know why you want to reach your goal. If you don’t know this, if you don’t have a strong enough reason for accomplishing your goal then your chances of success are greatly reduced. It needs to be a reason that only the thought of will elicit a strong emotional response.

One must involve all of the great things that will happen once you’ve achieved your goal, list all of these great things and give them a positive emotional strength. The other should involve all of the things that will happen if you don’t achieve your goal, give all of those bad things a negative emotional strength so when you think of what will happen if you fail it instantly motivates you succeed.

Fear Is Limited By Space and Time, Thus Easy To End

Fear has given the human race a difficulty since the beginning of time. Countless people have gone as far as failing to proceed with aspects of their lives simply because of fear, and countless more have been trapped needlessly in suffering simply because of fear.

How do you best release yourself from that which you fear, big or small?

What is the fastest, most effective way to overcome fear?

Well, I have a solution here for you that is very fast, very effective (in fact, it is guaranteed to work). You can apply it to all your fears, big or small.

Before I tell you how to do it, let us briefly look at some obvious characteristics of fear.

In terms of time, fear is future-based. In other words, if you look at any of your fears, they are always about something that isn’t happening right Here, right Now at this exact moment. Fear cannot possibly exist about something that is in your present. It is always a, “What will happen to me if…” construct. Even if someone were to put a gun to your head right now, you would fear the possibility that in the very near future they will pull the trigger. That is why a threat is no longer effective once it is carried out. Fear is always about something that hasn’t happened yet (it may be just about to happen, but it hasn’t happened yet). You also don’t fear things that have already happened, things that are in the past. So that is the time-based nature of fear, or worry.

In terms of space, fear is finite. It occupies a limited space with boundaries. If you focus on that area only, fear can encompass your entire attention to the point that all you are thinking about is your fears and you completely forget that life has many more things that are far greater that the limited item you fear. If you step back a little, you will see the bigger picture, and your fear will lessen simply because your attention will not be 100% on your fear. Imagine that you have 100 attention units to dedicate. If you dedicate all 100 to that which you fear, you will be encompassed by your fears. If you step back and look at the bigger picture, you will automatically be dedicating less attention units to that which you fear.

Now, let us complete the technique. How do you best release yourself from that which you fear, big or small?

What is the fastest, most effective way to overcome fear?

It is as simple as this: adjust your space-time perspective. That’s it. If you mess with the space-time characteristics of your fear, you will automatically denature it.

Here is the exact way of doing that, step-by-step:

Step 1: Draw whatever you fear into the Here, Now.

For example, let us assume that you are worries about losing your job or your spouse. That is a future event. Now, pretend that it has happened already. That instantly eliminates your having to dodge it, to avoid it. It enables you to stop fighting to avoid it happening. So, close your eyes and completely pretend it has happened already. That which you fear is no longer in the future, but it has now happened already.

Step 2: Feel the feelings you would feel assuming it has happened.

Is it shame, anger, vulnerability, grief, embarrassment? What feelings would you feel if it happens? As you draw the future into the present and fully pretend it has happened allow yourself to feel absolutely everything that you imagine you would feel if that which you fear actually happened. Whatever it is you are avoiding feeling if that which you fear were to happen, feel it now.

Step 3: Accept it and yourself.

This is the key step. Now that it has happened, accept things as they are, and accept yourself as you are. Stop dodging, pretending or trying to change life. Just accept. Look inwards and say, “Jane (or whatever your name is), you are a worthy, good, acceptable person as you are, even as these things have happened, and I am proud to be you and happy to know you and spend my life with you. I accept you as you are, and I accept life as it is, and I accept these feelings as they are.”

Step 4: Embrace the unknown.

One of the key features of fear is that you are afraid of what will happen if that which you fear comes to be. Solve this problem by simply embracing the unknown. Admit that life is larger than what you know, and that what you don’t know isn’t a dangerous thing necessarily, even though your fears may tell you it is. The unknown is your friend. Tell yourself that even if you don’t know what lies in the unknown, and you will never know until you pass through it, you will be able to go through it OK, even if you don’t know how. Life will just happen. Feel the fear but do it anyway.

I guarantee you that if you follow this formula you will be amazed at its effectiveness. Just try it on the little fears at first and practice and practice and practice until you can easily apply it on any fear of any size at any time, automatically. Practice makes perfect. At first it may be hard but in time you will become fearless.

All Limitations Are Perceived Horizons

Not so long ago, people thought the world was flat. They looked out into the horizon, and it appeared to them that the earth ended somewhere far out there, and at the end of the earth, one could possibly fall off the edge and die. Therefore, people did not dare to reach the horizon, for fear of falling off the end of the earth. So they stayed where they were.

Their perception that the world was flat, that it had an edge (the horizon), kept them from exploring far away from where they were born. It was a limitation that appeared real to them. However, this limitation was not real at all - it was an error in perception.

The horizon is not an edge, it is not an end.

In fact, you can never reach the horizon because it keeps moving farther away from you the closer you get to it. The horizon is an apparent end, yet it is grounded in infinity (you can never reach it).

All of your limitations are horizons. All of them bar none. No exception.

Even the Self has no limits, although it “appears” to be encompassed by a limited body. In fact, is the Self a reality, or simply an awareness of feeling? The Buddha argued that the Self is a feeling that gets mistaken for an identity (that which is ‘having’ the feeling). Anyways, that is another topic altogether. Let us get back to limitations…

Any limit that you think you have, whether it is financial, biological, emotional, or whatever, is a horizon. For example, you may have the belief that you cannot afford something, and so you forever deny yourself that thing; you never buy it. That is believing in the horizon. You believe you have limited funds and if you spent them on that thing, you would suffer and die or whatever. However, if you went ahead and purchased it, you would find that you can indeed afford it, and because you have now created a new gap in your money, you would quickly fill that gap with even more money (so long as you don’t believe you are limited). This is the difference between those who have scarcity (poverty) consciousness or beliefs, and those who believe in abundance.

So what is the solution to limitations?

It comes in two steps:

Step 1: Replace your perspective. As long as you think the world is flat and the horizon marks the edge of the world beyond which you will fall off, all other thoughts and actions will be in error. So you must train yourself to see the world a new way, to know that the horizon is an illusion. If you skip this step and jump straight into step two, you may burn your fingers because you cannot act as if you have abundance as long as you believe in scarcity. Your beliefs always become manifest. Thought is more powerful than action in creation.

Step 2: Act in line with abundance. In the above example, we saw that one who believes in abundance knows that the “limited” amount of money in their pocket is transitional, it is a river that flows and is hence not truly limited. But the one who believes in scarcity is convinced that they have a true limit and hence they don’t dare cross is. So what does it mean to act in line with abundance? It means that you will be going beyond the horizon. You will march to it and keep moving, knowing that the horizon will never be reached. Know that all resources are cyclic in nature, so that the more you spend the more you earn, and the more you earn the more you spend. Keep that river flowing. Don’t erect a dam or try to hold it. Keep it flowing. Open both hands wide, the hand that receives and the hand that gives. The faster your rate of exchange (giving and receiving) the better.

Horizons are a mindset. Poverty is a mindset. Wealth is a mindset. Happiness is a mindset. Depression is a mindset. Health is a mindset. Dis-ease is a mindset. It is all a mindset, with its accompanying emotions. The secret is that the mind is limitless, so you truly have no limits except those that you have accepted as real. It is all just a horizon, and no matter how much you chase the horizon, you will never fall off the end of the earth. So chase it!

Setting Goals [by|from|on]…

Last year, I started to do my daily goals setting. I continued for 3 months and amazingly, I had 2 of my goals completed within that 2 month. Unfortunately, due to my own personal laziness, I discontinued. This year, I decided to do it again and this time, I blog it and I have been setting my daily goals for past 1 month over my blog.

As each day passes, my daily goals are more or less identified. I started with eleven of them, and by end of first week, it streamed down to ten and now, the priority, sequent, words used, sentences are more or less consistent.

What my problem now is the choice of word “by” or “from” or “on”, as I’m writing, “I will have XXXX [by|from|on] dd/mm/yyyy.” will have different meaning and intentions So, I need to be clear on what I really want.

If I am working towards one of my goal now, then, “by” dd/mm/yyyy, I MUST have it or achieve it, however, it could be earlier! (eg, I drive a Merz by 14/11/2006)

Now, if I am working on something now, or I may not be working on this particular goal, but “from” dd/mm/yyyy, I MUST have it and continue having it and continuously achieving it. (eg, I exercise once a week from 14/11/2006);

And if I am working towards my goal, “on” dd/mm/yyyy, it’s THE D-DAY, deadline which I MUST achieve it! (eg, I buy a blue convertible Beatle on 14/11/2006)

OK, now I am clear, at least after writing it down, it’ is clearer my mind. It is important to have a CLEAR goal so that my mind can start to send out the signal and the Universal will react and send back the acknowledgement. Imaging, in McDonalds, if the front-desk is not clear on the order (eg, hur . . . I think I like to have that burger with 2 piece of meat within, but not beef . . .) how on earth will the kitchen prepare the right food for the front desk? My goal has to be clear like the front desk and once it is clear and sent out, Universal (kitchen) will start to prepare and send back to us!

Thus, be clear! That is why it’s important for me to know the different of using the right words such as [by|from|on] to set my date!

Goal Setting using Visualization

I have a blue convertible Beatle photo on my desk. On it, I edited my own photo and carefully placed it in the driver seat. I had shown it to John and he was amazed that it looks real as if I’m driving it. As such, when I’m in office, I can see the picture and see myself driving the Beatle.

Thus, visualization is a very important step in goal setting.

On Saturday, after Novena, we went to Serangoon for lunch. While driving out, we saw a private property open house. As such, we stopped and went in to take a look.

It’s 4 stories semi-detach. When entering the main gate, it’s a car pouch, which can take in 1 car. (Hmm. . . if I want to have 2 cars, then, I need to park one outside. Then walk up a flight of steps to enter the main door, which is the main hall: about the size of our current master room. There is another flight of steps that divided the dining hall and the living room, and the kitchen is an open concept and look bright. Through the kitchen’s window, we can see the neighbors, which is behind the house clearly.

We went upstairs, which have 1 master bedroom with toilet and 2 bedrooms with common toilet. The master bedroom is pretty huge. Then we went up further to another level which have another room and a rooftop garden. Lastly, we went all the way down to basement, which have 2 rooms and a indoor pond. I like the pond very much. The sound of the waterfall is perfect for me to be my working area. CW, my wife, was saying, maybe we can convert it to mini pool or Jacuzzi.

I estimated the price to be around 1.5M. While walking out of the place, Marina was so excited and she wanted to buy this house and move in. We asked the sales person the price and found out that it’s 1.3M. The 2 corner units are 1.5m and 1.6M. How3ver, both were taken.

Actually, we pretty like the concept and I like the waterfront and CW like the “open concept” which is has many full-size glass windows. However, one down point is . . . We dislike the many flight of steps. To be honest, just a short tour walking up and down 4 levels, my legs are cramped. I’m thinking if I am getting a landed property, I will want to live there for live. As such, if I’m old, I will have difficulties walking up and down. On top, mum will have problem also walking up and down.

After the show house, I have a clearer view of what kind of house I’m looking at. It should at most have 2 level or maybe with a basement. In the 1st level, it must have room and toilet.

I shared with CW that old estate such as AMK behind St Nicolas’ Girl School, could get it at about $600,000+. As Shears got it at about $600,000+ and he rebuild it for another $300,000+, which come to near $1,000,000. However, for a start, we may want to do some simple renovation, which should come around $700,000. Our current properties (HDB + Hougang Green) are both $300,000+. So if we sell both, we should be able to afford both. However, we just refinance Hougang Green, which have a lock in period of 3 years, so looking down the road, we should only change our house in 3 years time. I will drive CW to see those St Nicolas areas in near future.

Coincidentally, we saw on newspaper, yesterday, about another launch near Yishun, which combined facilities and landed property. The min unit is only $780,000 onwards. I quickly called Vincent about our Hougang Green and found out the interest is about 3.5% (I need this number for calculation). I did a quick calculation of loan 80%, which means for 30 years loan, our repayment per month is about $3,500+, which is near to $4,000.

That prompted me a important question: HOW TO BE ABLE TO AFFORT AND ACHIEVE IT. One way is looking at Shears, he is doing hosting and have about 500+ client which I did a quick calculation, if I got 500+ client, each charged $10.00 per month, then, I will have $5,000/month passive. Currently, I have about only 10 clients. So I must find ways to boost up my hosting service.

3 years! I am going to own a landed property. Other factors I’m looking at is:

1. Near MRT,
2. Near marketplace,
3. Near church.
4. Less flight of steps
5. Of course looking back, I miss an important question, how long is the lease? 99 years? 999 years? Or freehold?

I came across this financial verity show on Channel U, and actually, there is this freehold old house is only $1,100,000+. So, for now, we should still shop around and look around. It’s Visualization time!

Visualization . . .what if it does not work? Well, what can I lose? Nothing! BUT . . .what if it work? I will have what I visualized! So, no harm! Just visual!

Creating Financial Security through Money Affirmations, Beliefs and Action

“Your beliefs form your reality, your body and its condition, your personal relationships, your environment, and en masse your civilization and your world.” - Seth

In the creation of wealth, you require to ensure that you are clear and positive (allowing, not resisting and negating) in four key areas of wealth:

1. Earning (receiving)

2. Spending (giving)

3. Saving

4. Investing

These are the four corners of wealth. The first two function like breathing, like your body’s circulation system, or even like the weather pattern. In other words, money, just like breath and the rest of life, moves in cycles. In and out. Giving/receiving or earning/spending are two sides of the same coin. They both need to be healthy. Without circulation, the system dies.

The remaining two are what allows for growth in wealth. Saving represents many things. For one, it represents the fact that you value your future enough to save for it; you feel you have a future worth saving for. It also represents paying yourself first, valuing yourself. Instead of spending all the money you earn and leaving nothing for yourself, you spend some and keep some for yourself. By the way, you are not saving to buy consumables like a TV or a trip in future. No. You are saving to use that money to invest in yourself, and to have it make money for you. And this is where the final corner, investing, comes in. You invest so that the money you earned, at least part of it, is not forever lost in a spending spree. Instead, it remains with you and works on its own, without your further effort, to make more money for you. In other words, you work for the money (earn) and then stop, after which you allow the money to work for you and give you much more than you produced in the first place. That is the point of investing - having the money work for you and produce more of it than was originally, without you having to spend more effort. Investing is similar to nature’s principle of creating more of itself effortlessly. Without this last step, it is very hard to become wealthy. Remember: Invest wisely.

Here are sample affirmations gathered for you from various sources (affirmations partly gathered from You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay and Rebirthing in the New Age by Leonard Orr and Sondra Ray). As you do the affirmations, notice how you feel about them. Then follow these feelings freely without resisting or manipulating them and see where they lead you (they will always lead you to the beliefs behind them).

Earning (receiving)

1. My income is constantly increasing

2. I enjoy earning.

3. I deserve to be wealthy.

4. My job/business is one of the pipelines through which I tap the infinite wealth of the universe for my own desires.

5. My personal connection to Infinite Being and Infinite Intelligence is enough to yield a huge personal fortune.

6. People enjoy paying me for what I enjoy doing the most.

7. Life always holds out as much goodness as I am willing to accept.

8. I am enjoying creating value for the people that give me money.

9. I have the right to give myself permission to become wealthy or do anything that I want.

10. Each year, my money increases faster than I spend it.

11. It takes less effort to be wealthy than it does to keep out the universal supply.

12. Life rewards me with abundance.

13. I deserve to be wealthy, rich, prosperous and affluent.

14. I enjoy expressing my abundance.

15. I don’t have to work to get money.

Spending (giving)

1. I spend money wisely.

2. I always have more money than I need.

3. I bless all my bills with love.

4. I pay all my bills on time easily.

5. I enjoy spending.

6. My income now exceeds my expenses.

7. Every dollar I spend comes back multiplied.

8. The more willing I am to enrich others, the more willing others are to enrich me.

9. I now have a positive personal cash flow.

Saving

1. I am worthy of having money in the bank.

2. I am financially independent and solvent.

3. I enjoy saving.

4. A part of all that I earn is mine to keep.

Investing

1. I enjoy investing.

2. I find investing to be relaxing, easy and safe.

3. My income increases every day whether I am working, sleeping or playing.

4. All my investments are profitable.

5. I don’t have to work to get money.

6. Part of all my profits goes into permanent wealth creation, capital and reserves.

You have many beliefs about money. Many of those beliefs are transparent to you (you do not consciously know you have them) and so they work behind the scenes producing results that seem to come from some external source (thus the idea of being a helpless victim of circumstances or chance). But you can bring them out of transparency and even change them. You can also discover your beliefs by asking yourself questions like:

* What did I learn about money as a child?

* What is my biggest fear about money?

* How did my family handle money?

* How do I handle money?

* Do I feel worthy of having and enjoying money?

* What do I criticize and praise myself for regarding money?

It is of great help to have some kind of a guide as you go along making deep changes in your belief systems. It also helps greatly to keep records and measure your progress. The degree of guidance you can get varies greatly as well, and it is important to choose a guide that fits well with you yet moves you further than you imagine (this helps you see beyond your “fence”). Everything Produces in Kind

Today we would like to notice a very simple, universal yet hardly noticed principle of life. Noticing this will dramatically improve your life in all areas and situations - relationships, health, career, business, politics, sports - all areas of your life. Sometimes the simplest of things are the most powerful yet least understood. Let us look at one such simplicity. Here it is:

Everything produces in kind.

An orange seed produces orange trees, which produce oranges. This you can count on.

A frog gives birth to frogs. This you can count on.

Water evaporates into steam. This you can count on.

So what can you not count on? The impossible. You cannot count on the impossible. The impossible is this:

You cannot count on an orange seed growing into a banana plant, for that is impossible.

You cannot count on a frog giving birth to a gorilla, for that is impossible.

You cannot count on water evaporating into steel, for that is impossible.

In other words, everything produces in kind, and trying to go against this is impossible and at best a pure waste of energy resulting in pain and no result. Try it if you don’t believe it.

Here is a bigger insight into this: Everything gives rise to that which is like it, only in a different form. So the orange seed, tree and fruit are one and the same thing, only appearing in different form. The frog, egg and tadpole are one and the same thing, only appearing in different form. The water, steam, clouds, ocean, and ice are one and the same thing, only appearing in different form. Now to expand: If you did not know what a frog was or a tadpole and saw them both at the same time, you would think they are two different creatures completely! If you have never seen water or ice and saw them both at the same time, you would think they are two different materials!

Ok, fair enough. It is easy to see how this is so with the physical world around you, but what does that have to do with your life and life affairs?

Simple. Everything gives rise to that which is like it, only in a different form. Sometimes, if you are not aware of the big picture, your mind may get tricked into thinking there is no relationship between things that are obviously related. And this is what happens all the time. It is the norm rather than the exception. Watch.

We all know that our lives arise out of our thoughts. You are reading this now because, by a chain of choices you have previously made, including the choice to read to this point, you have thought of reading such material before. In other words, if it was not in your mental interest or field of attention, you would never have read this article you are reading now. Sometimes in your life you have seen a clear connection between your thoughts and the world arising around you. at most other times you have not seen this connection and thought even that you were a victim of circumstances. Now is the time to see that, truly, everything gives rise to its own kind. And this is how you do that:

Your thoughts give rise to like thoughts, words and actions. If you think a thought A, it will and must, under all circumstances, result in an experience in your world that is exactly like thought A, only appearing in different form. In practice, this means that you worry about things because you worry about things. It means that the very act of worrying, which by definition is the consistent and excessive thinking of the worst case scenario, is that which gives rise to conditions that make you worry even more.

Again, every thought you have gives rise to experiences and results of its own kind. This is sealed and unbreakable. To simplify, w happy thought results in happy conditions and experiences, and a destructive thought results in its own kind, and these can never be interchanged.

To simplify even further, worry results in conditions to worry about, and anxiety results in conditions to be anxious about. That is how your world arises out of yourself.

Now, we need your attention here for the next statements. So please pay full attention now. There is no point to worrying about anything. You worry because you think that worrying is doing something about it and hence by worrying you believe that you will help prevent disaster. You worry because you believe it works for you. And when the events you were worried about finally come about, you feel justified, that you were correct in worrying about them because, look, here they are now! The truth is, the worrisome conditions came because you worried about them. Everything gives rise to its own kind. You worry, and sooner or later you are faced with the circumstances you worried about, or something similar in context and essence but different in form and appearance.

Worry, or any negative thought, will under all circumstances give rise to negative external outcomes. Never, under any circumstances, will it give rise to positive outcomes because by definition worry is the envisioning of the worst case scenario. Remember, the connections between the causing thought and the resultant effect may not be obvious to you, but be assured that even if separated by space, form and time, a thought always gives rise to a matching result.

It is interesting to note that Jesus is quoted in the New Testament as having said “be anxious over nothing”. Worry is useless, because at best it can only disrupt the desired positive outcome, and at worst bring about a negative outcome. There is not a single instance where worry can work positively. So why bother do it any more?

Now let us look at the grand daddy of this universal law that guarantees that everything produces of its own kind. Where is it most clearly given to us? In just about all the worlds major religions, no matter where they come from or how they started, they say one thing: you were created in the image and likeness of the Original Creator. The Creator, by extension of Itself, creates that which is like It in essence, though not necessarily in form. Form changes all the time, but essence is eternal. The only reason you do not experience yourself with the magnificence you would imaging the Creator possessing is because (and again this law comes in) you have put forth and held a thought that your not that which you are, and hence you experience that as well. And that is why all spiritual streams emphasize on going within, waking up, remembering, recognizing your unity with Oneness. And this is how deep this law goes, that like produces in kind. Whatever thought you hold in mind, whatever belief, you will experience it in your reality, even when it is contrary to truth, in which case you would be experiencing illusion, but you will, under all circumstances, experience that which is like the thought held.

Where else have you seen this law talked about? You have seen it in more places than you may remember. Here are some examples: birds of a feather flock together, you reap what you sow, you shall know them by their fruits, karma, what goes around comes around, do unto your brother… You know the rest.

Now back to your life. Life can be dramatically simplified if you just always remember this simple law. You need not fight against anything, cause fighting against results in conflict, for resistance is born of conflict and thus births conflict. If you find there is something in your life you do not like, simply choose another. If you don’t like having little money, simply stop worrying about money, stop thinking of situations where you may lack money, stop speaking and thinking from the position of poverty. A poor thought gives rise to poverty, a rich thought gives rise to wealth. It is very simple. And this applies to all areas of life, even in relationships and health.

Let us look at what works and what doesn’t:

Flowing from a mental and emotional position of abundance results in wealth, but struggling and working hard from a mental and emotional position of lack results in tiredness and little wealth, no matter how long you do it for.

Flowing from a mental and emotional position of peace results in peace, but protesting and fighting against war from a mental and emotional position of conflict results in conflict and polarity, no matter how long you do it for. Don’t believe this? How To Make A Treasure Map

The mind accepts what you picture as your reality. For example, if you want to lose 20 pounds but every time you look in the mirror you see the “you” that still needs to lose weight, then you are fighting the image in your mind making the creation much more difficult.

On the other hand, if you can remember a time when you were your ideal weight and even better, find a picture of you when, then you can imagine yourself according to the image you want to be. Seeing yourself in this picture and feeling it as if it were now, will increase the vibration around this “body” and make it easier for you to lose weight and create the body you want.

One very fond memory of how I used a treasure map to manifest was when my friend Dr. Jackie St.Cyr at Innate Chiropractic Healing Arts Center (in Houston TX)and I wanted to create a trip to Hawaii. We both made collages in October of ‘98. By December, we had everything in order to fly to Maui, stay 14 days, attend a fabulous seminar, and have two great friends fly out to meet us. All with a budget that NO travel agent could ever offer!

The circumstances and magical events seemed to line up with very little effort. Even more miraculously, on my collage I had written and illustrated how I wanted a wonderful babysitter to take care of my son Parker, 20 months at the time, during my weekend seminar.

The seminar started on Friday at 7 PM but as of Friday at noon, we still did not have any idea how I was going to attend. Then I made an “accidental” phone call to a veterinary clinic. Some how the receptionist said, “Well, what are you looking for?” I said, “I’m in town only for a few short days and would like to find a fabulous, responsible, loving, attentive daycare or babysitter.”

She said, “I have my son in a husband-wife owned daycare and I love them. Call this number.” Of course, they were wonderful and Parker and I both remember them fondly with the pictures we took.

Another amazing creation from those collages was a bracelet that we manifested which upon closer inspection was a perfect match to a very unique bracelet that one of the women in the collage was wearing. The bracelet was the unintentional but delightful icing on the manifesting cake!

Here are some tips that I use when creating a collage and a few different ways you can use the treasure mapping process.

- Use a large poster-board (any color) and cover the entire board with pictures and words that represent what you want to create.

- Take a larger poster-board and cut into 4 sections, each section becomes a different goal or area of your life.

- I like to write my goal affirmation on the front and back of my poster-board. Sometimes the front gets completely covered, but then I have it on the back also. I use this affirmation as I look, visualize and fantasize using the pictures.

- When selecting images, keep in mind that you are looking for a feeling. The image or words should give you the “feeling” that you will feel upon manifestation.

- Use a manila folder, cover all sides with pictures, images, and magazine clippings and then store your loose clippings, journal notes, and “signs of land” inside the folder.

- Take a journal; write down your goals in the form of affirmations and cut/paste one or two images on each page that conjure the feeling or motivation needed to achieve each goal.

- Take a shoebox and paste magazine clippings, pictures and photos on the outside representing the life you are creating. This is now your “creation box” and as you gather images that represent what you want - drop them into your box with a prayer.

- Cut out slogans and ad words that make you feel inspired. Marketing executives brainstorm for hours to come up with those catch phrases and you can leverage some of that energy that mass-consciousness has invested in some of them. Cut out or write and add any phrase that makes you feel inspired to your treasure map.

- Have a treasure-mapping party with your friends and appropriate, supportive family members. Kids love to treasure map.

- Place the collage in a special place where you can look at it every day. When you notice that you are no longer looking at - then move it to another, fresh spot!

Some suggested supplies:

- Photocopies of you, specifically your face to paste onto images on your treasure map. This is not necessary to manifest but can sometimes add significant energy to your creative abilities.
- Magazines, pictures, news-clippings
- Stick glue
- Scissors
- Poster-board, journal, manila folders, cardstock paper or creation box
- Markers, crayons or other fun writing apparatus
- Affirmations and goal list easily accessible to transfer to front/back of treasure map
- Stickers, glitter and construction paper can be fun
- Gel pens and black paper can be fun too
- Stencils, rulers, letter stickers can be useful as well

Just a couple of DO NOTS:

- Don’t use black and white images to manifest a trip or it’ll end up raining the entire time you’re there. (A friend did this and it really did rain every day!)
- Don’t add a specific someone onto your collage if a) you don’t want to manifest him or her or b) they don’t want you to manifest them. This is just asking for trouble and can make your creative waters quite murky! (An image of someone that you do not know is fine).
- Don’t let your collage get outdated, stale or old. If you have lost interest in using the collage to imagine with then it’s time to create a new one or to spice up the old one.

Use your treasure maps as a visual stimulus and conscious creation reminder. You are powerful, use your map to guide you in attracting all that you desire.

Re-invent Your Life With a Do -it-Yourself Retreat

Is your life exactly the way you want it? Or are there many things you would like to change?You can find a new path and set yourself on the road to greatness with the steps outlined here. Set aside a day, or a weekend, to do the process. Buy a notebook or journal to record your thoughts. Take the time to think about each exercise and complete it thoroughly.

Start by listing qualities in yourself you would like to enhance in the next year. List at least five qualities, then list ways you can enhance them. To help select ways to enhance those qualities think of self-talk, actions, scheduling and relationships. How can you use those to enhance the qualities you like? For example, you might want to increase your patience, your ability to listn or have more self discipline.

Next list the activities that you do that are most draining. List ten of these, then prioritize them, putting the most draining activity at the top of the list. Create an action plan for completing or eliminating the top 2 most draining activities.If these are things that cannot be eliminated, such as getting up with the baby in the middle of the night or caring for a relative with Alzheimer’s disease, list ways you can get support and assistance to make them less draining.

List the ten activities you find most exciting and energizing. Next to each write down how often you do each of them. If you do not engage in at least one of your ten most energizing activities each day examine your schedule to see where you can fit them in.

On the next page of your journal describe the ideal winter day five years from now, including as many of the energizing activities as possible. On the next page describe the ideal summer day five years from now, again including the energizing activities.

Stop and reflect on your ideal winter and summer day. Notice any patterns and examine how each day relates to your ten most exciting and energizing activities.

Create a new list of the most important elements of the previous descriptions. These may have to do with relationships, activities or qualities of yourself.

List all of the roles you play in your life. For example I could list mother, wife, teacher, writer, landscaper, business manager, housekeeper and youth group sponsor. Put them in order with the most important one first. It is very difficult to fulfill more than 6 roles in your life. If there are more than 6, which one would you like to let go of first? Try to determine how you can let go of this role. Again, if it is impossible to eliminate the less important roles see how much you can delegate or how you can spend less time fulfilling that role.

Next list 5 obstacles that could prevent you from becoming healthier and more fit in the next five years on the left side of the next page. On the right side list how you will overcome each of these obstacles. Then list 3 things you will do to make yourself healthier and more fit. List 3 things you will do to have more fun. Then list 3 things you will do to make more time to relax.

On the next page list the people who are most important in your life. Decide who are the six most important people in your life and write something you will do to let them know you appreciate them.

On the next page list a secret(or strong) desire you have not acted on. Why have you not acted on it. If it is a worthy desire, what action will you take to make this desire a reality.

List things you would like to accomplish or do in the following areas: home, family or relationships, work, leisure or hobbies, financial, personal, spiritual and other desires. Prioritize the things you would like to do and choose the top 3. Then list actions you will take in the next week to move toward those priorities.

Return to your descriptions of the ideal winter and summer day. What five things in those descriptions would you most like to achieve.? List those. Set a goal for reaching each. Remember that a goal is a stretch but it is achievable. It has a time limit and it is measurable.

Next set a goal for the next three to five years in each of the following areas: house, family or relationships, work, leisure or hobbies, financial, personal, spiritual and any other area that is important to you.

Finally, prioritize all your goals and select the top 5. Write these five goals on paper in large print and post them where you can see them daily. List a series of steps that will get you closer to the goals and review the steps each night before you go to bed.

Your personal mini-retreat is now completed. Do something fun and relaxing and congratulate yourself on having new direction in your life.

Goal-setting A Daily Affair

There are many goals. Basically, they can be categorised into long-term goals and short-term goals.

1. Long-term goals: Anything that is bold! Just write down anything outrageous! It is ok; it is GOAL anyway, right?

Remember, no invention begins without a boald dream! We will not have computers, if nobody dreamt of having a machine think as fast as us. We will not have cars if on one ever though of having a machine to carry us around.

Next, write down not one or ten . . . but, challenge and push yourself to write down 100 goals! Trust me! It is not easy, but it is worth it! To date, I just managed to write 70 of them. It is important to complete it and rewrite it again every year! It will be interesting to see and review yearly goals and notice the priority and importance changed accordingly due to many internal and external factors.

2. Short term goals: Something practical and realistic; something which is achievable and something that can push us out of our comfortable zone.

Generally, for short term goals, need to be written in present tense as if it has already achieved. Then, set a deaddate realistically and if the date is dued and unfortunately slipped a little, just adjust it accordingly along the way.

Next, be as clear as possible (used of words such as “by” or “from” or “on”…) Write down the detail as much as possible, if you could, do write down the color, shape, dimension, smell, sound, environment…etc)

Next, write it in positive positive and not negative positive way. (eg, “I want to replace smoking with exercise” as compare to “I want to stop smoking”) Use affirms word and not trying word. (eg, “I MUST have. . .” as compare to “I WISH to. . .” or “I will TRY to. . .”
Set a plan.

Lastly, ensured that you write it down everyday. Yes, for short-term goal, it’s important to write it down everyday! Not many goal-setting resources will tell you to write everyday. YES AGAIN! everyday! But why? . . . So that our mind can be congruent to what we aim and shoot for. If possible, start a new day with writing down the goal! This will remind us and tell us each day, what ever we do, are we gearing it towards our goal! Be reminded that this is not that “daily” reminder such as “I will do marketing” or “I will bring my kids to zoo”. This is your short-term goal, which I will encourage everyone to write it everyday!

By the way, you may ask, what if I miss the deadline? Well, reset, review and rewrite again! Hey, rocket scientists do not launch their rocket to moon with one single projectile. The actual path of rocket was corrected consistently throughout the whole projectile! So …

You = Rocket
Goal = Moon
Deadline = consistently corrected throughout projectile

Thus, by writing down our goals daily, will help us to correct and review our daily tasks if we are on the right track.

So go ahead. Write down you goals! Do it everyday!

Goal Setting Is Not Only Once-A-Day Affair

In my last post, I mentioned that we should set goal clearly and do it daily. Now, the question is, when is the best time in a day? Of course, the answer is in the morning. However, it should not be just anytime in the morning; it should be first thing in the morning! Yes! The first thing when you wake up, instead of brushing your teeth, you should rush to your desk, and start writing your daily goal!

I mentioned in my other posting that there are long-term goal and short-term goal (which for me I called it as daily goal). It is this daily goal that you need to write down everyday! It is important so that you are aware of your daily activities are geared and swift towards it. On top, in the morning, when you just awake, your Alpha wave is at its most active period and according to many scientists’ researches, Alpha wave is presence when a person is engaging into his superb learning mode!

Have you ever experienced, when you were young (or maybe you still doing it now), rushing to study as much as possible only at the night just before a test or examination, trying to utilise and grasp as much as you could; and unfortunately, those you studied earlier, usually tend to be forgotten and seems that they were never ever be a way to register in your mind, however, those that you had studied while you were almost dozed off, surprisingly, can be recalled easily during the exam! Did you ever asked yourself, did I really come across this subject? Why is it so? The answer is because of Alpha wave, which begin to sync in just when you doze off!

What I’m drifting here, it is important to write down your goal in the first thing in the morning, so that you can leverage on your morning Alpha wave which present in your just awaken brain so that you can subconsciously register it and deeply root it into your brain.

Alpha wave also present during at night just before you doze off. So you should also write down your daily goal at night, just before you turn for the bed! This action not only help you to review your day time activities if it gel with your daily goal, but also, help you to register again better, leveraging again on the alpha wave to sink into yourself about your daily goal!

Goal setting is like sharpening a knife. The more you sharpened it, the sharper it will be! Thus, best time to set goal is in the morning, first thing in the morning. And for best result, set again just before you doze off!

Try it! You will be amazed of the result and your goals begin to fall in place. You will be more aware of your behavior towards your daily activities. If it does not work, it’s OK! You will not lose anything! But what if it works? You are in no lost situation! So, just do it!

Do You Deserve What You Want?

If you’ve been affirming, visualizing and using manifesting techniques for years now and managed to manifest some of the things you’ve wanted, but still find that there are a few goals that you just can’t seem to manifest, why does it seem to work some of the time but not all of the time? Maybe you don’t deserve it!

I mean, truthfully, do you deserve what you want? Do you really deserve the dreams and goals that you’ve set your sights on?

Before you return with a scathing answer and get annoyed at my absurd presumptuous question, let me ask you another one. Did it annoy you at all to be asked, “Do you deserve happiness?” If it did, then I am sad to inform you that you have the non-deserving disease.

The non-deserving disease will slowly erode your belief in your ability to manifest. It will perpetuate the idea that you are the only one in the universe that can’t manifest what you want. It will poison your mind against your own unlimited potential. It will cause you to run in circles looking for the next latest and greatest self-growth technique, keep your therapist’s pockets nicely lined, and cause you to ignore your own successes.

Proper diagnosis of this disease is tricky because most of the time, although it may be quite obvious to others, we can’t see the symptoms. Or, more accurately, we CHOOSE not to see the symptoms.

For example, if I said to you, “You have the ugliest curly hair I’ve ever seen!” If you have curly hair - this might offend you. If, however, you don’t have curly hair then you’d dismiss my words as non-sense.

For curly hair owners, this may have triggered the thoughts you had as a child about NOT wanting curly hair, or reminded you of the embarrassment you felt when you were teased about your curls. Maybe you still have insecure thoughts as you wake up in the morning and look like my daughter, Ashlyn - who arises as the “wild-bed-head-girl” until we saturate her curls with the detangle spray! (I tell her she’s beautiful, by the way, and I love her wild-bed-head look!)

If you love your curls, you’ve never, ever wished for something different, or you have straight hair then my words do not trigger the non-deserving disease. However, if you find yourself reacting defensively to my words then somewhere in the subconscious folds of your being, you have the non-deserving disease.

Now, for those of you who feel left out, “You have the ugliest straight hair, I’ve ever seen!” Did I miss anyone? Oh, how about, “You have the ugliest bald head I’ve ever laid eyes on!”

We all have the disease on some level, don’t we? The issue becomes what we do with it that matters now. If you aren’t getting what you want in life, and you’ve been trying to manifest it then more than likely your self-esteem needs a boost in order to cure yourself of the non-deserving disease.

I met Jack Canfield, self-esteem expert and famed author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul Series, during the time when his first soup book was hitting the best sellers list. He inspired me to understand my feelings of deservingness as a self-esteem issue, and taught me a tool that I still use today.

He teaches the formula, “E+R=O (Event + Response = Outcome): It is not external events, but one’s responses (the R - which 9s changeable) that determine one’s level of success or failure, health or illness, fulfillment or frustration.”

For example, if you have wanted to attract a mate, and have used my 21-day program, or have been visualizing for months and months and haven’t attracted your partner yet, then ask yourself, “Do I deserve a mate? Do I deserve to be in a loving relationship with my Divine Life Partner?”

If you feel defensive about this question, then you know you need to dig deeper, and the more defensive you feel, the bigger the issue.

What judgments do you make about yourself that suggest you don’t deserve? Have you ever said, “Maybe, I’m not thin enough; maybe, I’m not fat enough; maybe, I’m not rich enough; maybe, I’m too picky; maybe, I’m not stable enough”?

What judgments do I make about myself that might be leading my sub-conscious mind to believe that I’m not worthy of what I want, or I do not deserve.

It’s not enough to just ignore the feelings of unworthiness. You must counter these beliefs with genuine high self-esteem and confidence. The more you believe in your own worth and that you truly deserve to have all that you desire, the easier it will be to intentionally manifest what you want in life.

Try these five steps to increase your self-esteem and treat the non-deserving disease.

1. Monitor your defensiveness.

If you feel defensive (about anything) then you are in that moment taking something personal. Taking something personal is a symptom of the non-deserving disease.

2. Make a decision to NOT take it personal.

The fourth agreement in Don Miguel Ruiz’s The Four Agreements is “Don’t Take Anything Personally.” This is a choice. Remember, it’s not the event that creates the outcome, but your response to that event. If you don’t take it personally, you are free to feel good about yourself as the fabulous human being that you really are.

3. Accept Your Humanness.

When you do take it personal, acknowledge the feelings of non-deservingness, the core limiting beliefs that you resist that continue to say, “I’m not worthy!” Then, let them be there. Acknowledge the fact that you are human and therefore, you will always be both worthy and unworthy and there’s nothing you can do about this. Then, hand your humanness over to Spirit. “God, you handle this issue!”

4. Increase Your Emotional Bank Account

Make deposits into your own emotional deservingness account. Tell yourself you are worthwhile, lovable, and beautiful and accept yourself exactly as you are. Do not wait for outside circumstances, or people to validate your worthiness. Make your own deposits and love yourself.

5. Meditate on the Divine Perfection of Life

One of the greatest symptoms of non-deservingness is making assumptions that what you’ve just received is NOT right. For example, if you want to attract a mate, and you meet someone who on the surface looks great but then turns out to be a dud. When you suffer from the non-deserving disease, you judge this event as wrong, out of order, not what you were wanting. This only perpetuates and continues to attract the opposite of what you want. However, if you continue to remember that you are always attracting what you want, and somehow this was perfect for your path, and now you are free to attract the next experience that is even more in alignment with your identified desires - then you eradicate the disease and proceed with the knowingness that all is well!

Increasing your self-esteem and ridding your life of the non-deserving disease is an inside job. It’s worth the effort because, in the end, what you will receive is the happiness that you truly desire and naturally deserve!

The whole point of setting a goal is to help you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. If you set goals and work toward them diligently, you can have all the things you want. People who set and achieve their goals are people who’ve decided what they want, committed themselves to going after it, and haven’t let anything stand in their way, short of violating the rights of others.

A proper goal gives you all the incentive you need to grow in your awareness of being a perfect expression of an Infinite power, designed for excellence and abundance. As you become more welcoming and aware of your relationship with God, and of all the potential that’s been built into you, you’ll function more effectively in harmony with the laws of the universe. Living in synch with all of this will yield results you’ve never dreamed possible.

They say that awareness is curative. It gives deep meaning to life because it spells the end of your robotic existence, no more walking in the deep ruts formed by your harmful programming and counterproductive thought life. These old ways of thinking aren’t ways you’ve chosen, they were planted in your heart when you were young by your parents, teachers, and religious leaders. While some of these programs serve you well, many of them are harmful and ready to be replaced. The old way of “living” has kept you from a truly abundant life.

But, in order to truly change, your old habits have to be replaced with new, healthy practices. Having a solid goal in place serves as a constant help as you do this. In fact, without a specific goal, you’re unlikely to ever make a significant change in your life. While you’re on your way toward achieving your goals, you learn to choose which thoughts you’ll allow into your mind. You’ll see the connection between these thoughts, the feelings and attitudes they produce, and ultimately the results they yield. It’s not something someone else can do for you.

Ever notice how your life never really stays the same? You’re either improving it or damaging it, your actions aren’t neutral. As a spiritual being, your spirit constantly seeks expansion and greater expression. When this deep desire is thwarted, you experience a feeling of dissatisfaction. That feeling is unpleasant enough to serve as a good motivator. We hate feeling unfulfilled, and work diligently to escape such an unpleasant feeling. We’ll do pretty much anything to satisfy this need.

This need for fulfillment goes way beyond just things and money, although they are important. They give you comfort and opportunity. It goes beyond happy feelings or a sense of peace, although they’re important, too. Our drive for complete fulfillment includes these things, but goes so much further, it’s a deep desire for a big purpose, something that catapults you into creativity, into meaningful and effective service.
Great, you were created to pursue worthy goals. How do you set them? How do you go after them? What can you do to make sure you achieve these grand goals?

Half the battle with goal-setting is determining exactly what it is that you want. Sounds easy enough, you answer that question just fine at a restaurant, on your birthday, when you get your hair cut. But when it comes to the big “what do you want” question, minds go blank. We don’t know what’s okay to ask for. What’s too much? Am I overreaching? How am I going to feel if I ask for something that’s beyond possibility?

Wow, such bad programming we pick up! Ask any little kid what they want to be when they grow up and you’ll hear answers like: the President, an astronaut, a gazillionaire, a cat, a rock star. Nothing seems impossible; nothing seems like it’ll come back to haunt you if it doesn’t work out.

Deciding what you want is risky. Telling someone else can feel uncomfortable. You might feel like you’ve got to preface it with something like, “Please don’t tell anyone, Can you keep a secret, I know it sounds crazy, but” But you know what? People who set and achieve awesome goals are risk takers, they’ve learned to be. They know that they’ve got the privilege and duty to design their own lives, make their own decisions. They dare to dream, and dream big. The power is in going after what you want, not in going after what you need.

Your Mindset Will Determine Your Online Success

What your beliefs are and the way you think are the two defining factors that will determine whether or not you will have success with your internet business. These two defining factors are what is known as a mindset. A mindset is universally defined as a habitual or characteristic mental attitude that determines how you will interpret and respond to situations.

Two examples of individuals having incredible mindsets are Michael Jordan, and Tiger Woods.

Tiger Woods has a mindset and a core belief that every golf ball that he hits will go in, and every tournament that he plays in he will be victorious. All of his golf shots don’t go in and he doesn’t win every tournament, but is there any wonder why he has of this writing won 54 golf championships at the age of 30? It has to do with his mindset.

Michael Jordan is known as the best basketball player that has ever lived. But did you know that he was cut from his high school basketball team as a sophomore because at 5 feet 9 inches he was deemed to undeveloped?

Of course that did not deter him. He practiced even harder grew to 6 feet 6 inches and within the next two years became a high school All American. He went on to establish a distinguished career, which included hitting the last shot to win the NCAA college basketball championship, winning 6 NBA titles, 5 league MVPs and a slew of other accomplishments.

Why was he such a winner? Why did he dominate? Simply because of his mindset, he believed that he was a winner so he won, he believed that he was destined to dominate so he dominated. So let me ask you, what is your mindset when it comes to your online business? Do you have super goals or mediocre ones? Do you promote your business a little or a lot? Are you building momentum for your business or are you slacking off?

Whatever your case may be there is always room for improvement. For example, instead of being happy with a subscriber base of 5,000 people, develop the mindset and take the action necessary to acquire 50,000 subscribers, 100,000 or even 1,000,000 subscribers.

Don’t say that it can’t be done because there are people out there on the internet who have achieved those type of numbers. Remember it’s all about your belief system and the way that you program yourself to think. If you think that you can, and act on that belief chances are you will accomplish your goal.

So the message is simply this, when it comes to your online business, make sure that you develop a superior mindset that will enable your online business to prosper and grow exponentially.

10 Creative Ways to Manifest Your Dreams

Enhance your power to manifest the life of your dreams using these ten creative methods:

1) Keep the end in mind. Ask yourself, what specific quality of life will the object of my desire bring to me? Why do I want this? Will it bring more Love, Harmony, Joy, Peace, Wisdom or Prosperity? Once you identify your real goal, do your best to assimilate that quality without the object and you will be deliberating achieving a vibrational harmony with the object you desired in the first place. When you acquire vibrational harmony or magnetic sameness with your desire - the object of your desire or something better HAS to come into your life - for it is the Law!

2) Identify what you want. The number one rule to Manifesting your Dreams is to “keep your eye on the ball.” The Universe does not process negatives - only energy. Therefore the question to ponder is “What do I want?” The question is NOT “What do I not want?” except to identify more of what you DO want.

3) Expect your dreams to come true. Expectation propels your desire and opens the runway for your dreams to land quickly, easily and gently. Additionally, with expectation as your fire, you will be less likely to run out of “desire fuel”!

4) Imagine it in the now. Imagine how it FEELS to have what you desire RIGHT NOW! Abraham through Jerry and Esther Hicks says, “Your point of attraction is now.” Therefore, whatever you are feeling and focused upon right now is what you are in vibrational harmony with and are attracting into your life.

5) Be energy efficient - be conscious of your “energy.” Keep in mind that like energy attracts like energy - therefore “what you sow you shall reap.” Feeling the lack of something only attracts more “lack of that something.” On the other hand, deliberately choosing positive feelings and focal points will keep you in alignment with your desires.

6) Maintain a laser focus on what you want. Give it your attention. Use tools such as setting goals, writing and repeating affirmations, visualization, gratitude journalizing, creative collage, treasure mapping, creation wheels and meditation. Relax, listen to yourself, state the affirmation and visualize the accompanying action and feeling. Remember, “Wherever you go, there you are!” - therefore, BE mentally and emotionally where you want to GO physically.

7) Be unattached. Maintain your desires but be unattached to the specifics of the outcome. Never limit the Universe by being disappointed if it isn’t in your life right now or isn’t coming as fast as you think it should. Be careful of being attached to the how, when, where, and who details. Turn it over to God and release your dream with statements such as “This or something better is manifesting in my life right now. I let it go and prepare to receive my good.” ALLOW the universe to let it flow to you easily!

8) Go on an appreciation rampage and preserve an attitude of gratitude. Relish the moment and be appreciative of all that you have. Be aware of every opportunity that comes your way and honor where you are on your path. Look at each experience as neither good nor bad, but as an opportunity to learn and grow. Don’t scold yourself when you make a mistake. Develop an affirmative statement describing your correct performance in the present tense, and allow your light to shine! See through the eyes of love. Choose to live in joy and spread it to all you meet!

9) Let Go of the past and follow your heart! Once and for all. Release the fears and prejudices that come from previous experiences. “Heaven’s not beyond the clouds; it’s just beyond our fears.” Regret and fear are the thieves that rob us of today. Accept responsibility for your life. Know that there are no victims. This means really forgive and forget, live without opinions, throw out your old baggage and live fully present in the moment at hand while following your heart’s guidance and desires for tomorrow. Your heart will never speak in fear - only in love. Follow your heart and you will have all that you desire.

10) Dream big! Ask for more than you “need.” You are the child of a rich father in heaven - claim your Divine birthright to unlimited Prosperity, Peace, Joy, Love and Harmony. Ask for all that you desire (in alignment with your values) and have the faith to relax and enjoy the journey. “I tell you the Truth, If ye have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there: And it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20
